LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

I'm not laughing. He could still report something. Like his opinion of the court procedures or anything.
IT was kind of dumb, just put nothing out then. I'm not a big fan of them. Now the guest they had on the show was very good, talking to the other woman reporter. But she wasn't one of them lol.

I'm not going to miss any of the traditional reporting in this case, sorry to say but just how I feel.

The Yters far surpassed them all, even Lauren. And they had far less or no helping taking notes as did news. Jmo though.

Oh well i hope it isn't NG then as the families will never get justice.
It's not going to happen. Here's one reason--if I or anyone else is on that jury that thinks he is guilty, it won't happen and many in the courtroom decided he was also and heard the same things the jury did. No one would EVER GET ME to go along with a NG in this case and I'd ensure I held out so that he WOULD be tried again with a new jury. That's what is far more likely to happen but I still am expecting a guilty verdict.

However, I can't say I can be sure there is no split, none of us have any clue at all.

NG though, that is not even on my RADAR as a possibility.

@RoundPeg I wonder if you could give me an answer to a general question. Where would most people fly into for a city to then drive to Delphi? Just curious for no real reason.

I'm not sure how this would actually be considered, but a retrial would have to be paid for somehow. I have no clue whatsoever what Carroll County's annual budget is.

Most opinions I've heard is NM and none of them are not going to see to it the girls' family get justice and are positive it would be retried. Such times are of course though times sometimes deals are talked as well but I don't know that I see one happened in such an event here, but this is all simply speculation anyhow.

I'm learning towards a guity verdicti tomorrow myself.

I know not all agree but that's where I'm at.

I think they went all day Friday and came in on Saturday planning to ask to see these videos and spent most of the day looking at the man and listening to the voice, maybe a bit more but I think those were the key things. I think they left without further discussion there and will come in tomorrow. Just my guess. Probably my hope too but truly is my best educated guess.

Yeah I get the budget thing but I also don't think they'll leave this case not tried again. We're still talking about the heinous murder of two local teen girls. I would add though it would maybe depend on the split and how many each way.

They also though get to canvas the jury if the jury is willing to find out what did work, what didn't, etc., both sides IF the jury member/s is/are willing, etc.

But Im' not foreseeing it hung. Only saying if so I think they will definitely retry it if most were for guilt or even half. The split also would probably lever somewhat any deal negotiations.

I sure wish I was off tomorrow! Even though I might be wrong and there may be little news all day, who knows...

I haven't watched this yet and probably could have caught part of it live had I checked for Tom's earlier when getting home and since. I knew he was going to do on tonight after a couple of days off but was catching up on some emails and other life things and so on.

Tom almost never has guests and he is going to have nine others on! So ten of them. Susan Hendricks is one. Aspen. Some other YTers, etc. and they are going to talk it informally but as if they are the jury it sounds like is the concept they are going for, to see what all think, how they look at the testimony, the evidence, etc. so for anyone interested in something a bit different, I'm linking. I can't vouch for how it goes as I haven't watched yet lol and I'm used to just listening to a calm and rational Tom lol.

I am going to watch though, and for anyone interested since no court today nor news on the case, linking.

OMG initial vote, all ten voted guilty. Some who have not watched other sources that are not traditional news re what all was seen and heard in the courtroom may want to rethink a possible guilty verdict, as I believe will occur, about this from people that actually attended. I'm not sure they all did but I know most of them did. I dind't catch that part if all were there. A NUMBER of them were.

ALL TEN.

They of course aren't saying the jury feels their way, they are giving where they landed from being there and seeing the trial as to their opinion.

LOL, he is surprised--this was not discussed beforehand at all and he is apologizing to people who may be triggered by the ten guilty votes... Anyhow, they will go on to discuss, but this was flat out surprising, even to me. I've heard from a couple that attended who came to the guilty thing, Tom and Lauren mostly and for reasons many I don't think know of for instance the confessions to wife and mom and who actually heard them and more... A lot more.

A couple commented not a bit surprised this jury is being thorough and taking a bit of time, say sit fits with the attention they paid and their very intelligent questions.

THIS IS GOOD. I dont' care if your opinions differ, hearing all the things they took from the courtroom and all we don't know as we were not there, etc. is GOOD. And there are points for both sides but hearing what did it for each too is very interesting and when they KNEW, etc. And THIS all is also what the JURY saw and heard and so forth. FOr Susan too it was the confessions to the wife and mom. For Aspen, it was seeing the movements, posture, voice, behavior, etc. in the one video when he finally KNEW this WAS BG. Each has varying things.

@Regina, Susan mentions what you talked of up thread when he said that was not him if on the girls' camera. Lots of KEY points in here and moments.

And I'm sorry but anyone who has only followed traditional news doesn't even come close to having a grasp on this trial.

And believe me I have had cases I've had to rely on only such but at least iit was often Nate for instance and then I would go back when time and watch some key testimony. Here of course we can't.

I'd just recommend a watch of this, no matter how you feel.

It's just good trial coverage too, much fuller, by all.

And i'm only 15 minutes in and I'm riveted now. @Tresir give it that long, I'm not even sure I will finish tonight but sure going to try and don't work until after noon tomorrow so should finish.

Again can't recommend highly enough so far and I doubt that is going to change, but only get better the more I watch.

Two now are saying it is RA that is going to have convicted himself in this case, his own words. MORE than the bullet even for Susan, now another is talking to him being his own worst enemy and that's what will convict him.

I don't know this one woman, I don't know a few actually but she says one thing she has said many a time on her own lives is how is it everyone else saw BG that day except for RA who was there at the very same time. He never saw BG... Interesting point... Imo.

He of course didn't see him because he IS BG. This one says bottom line that's the end of the case...

Now a third one who said it also is the confessions to his mother. Tom said the same in his past shows. Now quite a few have. You are NOT going to confess to the mother you care about which he does clearly, something you did not do. And JUST hearing him in these, and how clear he was. Etc.

I am NOT sharing even close to all. I'm thinking all of these people were in the courtroom. I dont' have that confirmed but several so far it has been made clear they were.

Now they are actually hitting on some things they didn't think helped the P or even hurt or weren't wise, etc. And then back to a bit of both. So it is an ALL around talk of ALL of it.

Box cutter, a negative in the opinions of a few.

Man, just a great discussion all around about all sides to the case. Best thing I've seen throughout. And going over some things in testimony and just like I always realized too when watching Tom, news isn't covering sh*t.

Want a GOOD coverage of a ton of what went on at trial, this is giving it.
