LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

Funny to read this post in hindsight as we know now he himself called himself a CSA type of killer, that was his intent, and it was no leap was it.

Didn't read it that close because I see a lot that's been shown otherwise since. Just bits. Missed the alcohol part but just I guess not up to looking for it right now. Maybe in the morning, not sure about then. Saw a few things with eyes not into reading it all that lol sure don't apply now and quit there.

My eyes werwen't focusing either. I need a bigger screen and new glasses I think. Noticing such at work lately too.

If you want to put the part that talked of his alcohol feel free, but you don't have to either. I just coudln't skim all the various stuff right now to find it.

I just copied the section about Wala.

"Dr. Monica Wala, Allen's prison psychologist when he was at Westville Correctional Facility, testified Allen insisted he was innocent during the first few months at the Northwest Indiana state prison. Allen arrived at Westville in November 2022, about a month after he was arrested.

During those first few months, Allen insisted he was innocent, according to reports Wala wrote about her sessions with Allen. Wala wrote in her reports on Nov. 21, 2022 and Dec. 6, 2022 that Allen felt he was already treated as if he was guilty and that he did not want to be in prison for something he didn't do.

In a Nov. 25, 2022 report, Wala described Allen as "selfless" when it comes to his wife, Kathy.

Wala also said Allen was a "fragile" man when he arrived at the facility. Allen has a history with major depressive disorder and anxiety and showed signs of dependent personality syndrome, a mental health condition that involves an excessive need to be taken care of by others.

Allen's conditions worsened and suicidal thoughts began around spring of 2023, Wala testified.

On April 4, 2023, Wala wrote that Allen believed death would bring relief.

On July 26, 2023, Wala reported that Allen's eyes were bulging, although she said she didn't know why.

During cross-examination by defense attorney Bradley Rozzi, Wala acknowledged that inmates are meant to be in solitary confinement for a maximum of 30 days. Allen was in solitary confinement for 13 months ― a situation that Wala acknowledged could impact his mental health.

Dr. Monica Wala, who was Allen's prison psychologist when he was at Westville Correctional Facility, said she believes Allen feigned many of the bizarre behaviors he showed while at the facility.

On April 10, 2023, she saw Allen sitting in his cell with his back against the wall, naked and raising his arms while talking to himself, Wala testified. Papers, likely pages from court documents, were strewn all over his cell.

The bizarre behavior, which coincided with Allen's confessions, continued to escalate. On April 12, 2023, Wala wrote in her report that Allen was clapping and banging on something in his cell. The following day, she wrote that he defecated himself and was consuming his own feces.

At this point, Wala said prison officials ordered Allen to be watched constantly. Wala also said the bizarre behavior and confessions began shortly after Allen received discovery material, and it's possible his conduct was in response to what he'd read in those documents. Allen also had little to no sleep since the beginning of April, Wala said.

Allen seemed better around mid-April after he was medicated, Wala said.

On April 17, Wala found Allen in his cell with his hand raised and his eyes closed. When asked if he was suffering from psychosis, Wala said, "possibly" but added that she needed more information to say for sure. Wala, though, said she believes Allen was feigning much of his bizarre behavior to get a visit from his wife and to be transferred to another facility.

On April 28, Wala again found Allen in his cell naked. When she asked if he wanted to talk, he said he needed to shower first. When she asked why he hadn't showered, he said, "Because I'm selfish."

At one point, Allen flushed a Bible down the toilet, Wala said.

During cross-examination by defense attorney Bradley Rozzi, Wala acknowledged that she followed Allen's case with interest during her personal time even as she was treating him, a fact she mentioned to her supervisors. But Wala, a true crime fan, also said she followed other cases, and she was able to separate her personal interest from her treatment of Allen.

She also admitted using her access to the prison database to satisfy her curiosity about the case and acknowledged that Indiana Department of Correction officials conducted an investigation into her. Wala no longer works at Westville, but she remains employed by the same government contractor that provides healthcare at Indiana prisons.

Rozzi also noted the conditions of Allen's incarceration at Westville. He was kept alone in a small cell, where lights were never turned off and a video camera was monitoring him constantly.

New IDOC inmates are typically first taken to the Reception Diagnostic Center in Plainfield, where they are assessed for a few weeks to determine which facility best suits them. But assessment of Allen, Wala acknowledged, was expedited and he was quickly placed at Westville."

Here's another post that mentions him being an alcoholic and a sex addict. This one mentions him going back home to grab a jacket.

Specifically

"In one of their sessions, Allen said, "I killed Abby and Libby. I will kill everyone. I will wipe out everybody," Wala testified. Allen, Wala said, also talked about starting World War III.

Wala, who saw Allen daily while he was placed on suicide watch, said the confessions began in the spring of 2023. At one point, he told her he "made sure they were dead because he didn't want them to suffer" and that he acted alone, Wala testified. Allen told Wala that his intentions were "sexual in nature" and claimed to be a sex addict and an alcoholic, she told jurors.

During some of his confessions, Wala said Allen gave specific details about the crime, telling her he slashed the teens' throats and put branches over their bodies. During a session on May 3, 2023, Allen recounted to Wala what he did on Feb. 13, 2017. He said he went to his parents' house that morning, went back home to grab a jacket, and then went to the Monon High Bridge trail, where he saw Abby and Libby, followed them and ordered them to go down the hill, Wala told jurors.

Under questioning by Stacey Diener, Wala testified that Allen's emotions were at times erratic. He often went off on tangents and, at times, expressed his desire to apologize to the girls' families, Wala said. One confession, Wala told jurors, was stated in "an almost matter-of-fact manner."

Coinciding with the confessions were a series of bizarre behavior, including drinking from the toilet and eating his feces. When asked why he was eating his feces, Allen said, "Because I'm insane," Wala testified.

Allen also seemed less suicidal at times, saying he "could not kill himself because he was too much of a coward," Wala told jurors."

Reading all that again really brings it home what a messed up state he was in. What he did was sending him insane. He hadn't had to face it before.

I remember someone personally telling me about attending and arresting a killer and the blood sent that killer insane basically. This was a case of a woman that killed her children with a knife.

I can't even say what a relief it is to listen to plain old common sense and logic. Well worth a listen. I don't care if you think RA is guilty or not, this is a good listen.

I hope I have half the common sense he does at his age. Of course I'll never have his experience.

THIS is what some who fall for the blizzard effect need to think about and listen to. TOO many coincidences, TOO many things to be explained. I could never ever state it as well as he does. But I go by the same ideas, opinions., eliminations or inclusions, etc.

No nonsense. Matter of fact. LOGICAL. COMMON SENSE.

Watching more of this this morning. Hadn't finished it all.

Just so COMMON SENSE and such experience. It's grounding. I wish I could get all out there who are off in whatever thoughts to listen to something so sane.

She says she does not buy the dependency disorder and I have to say i agree with that. He's manipulative and not dependent.

An interesting discussion. It cuts through all the b.s. TOO many coincidences, too MUCH bad luck. More. A GOOD listen.

Maybe already linked, but he had changed his date on when it would be and so not sure it was the updated one. Haven't watched it yet, just starting. I already am missing him lol. Such a voice of sanity with no agenda.

Yeah, I don't think anyone has posted here but the only activity there's been has been the P/NM getting the transcript for the D's ballistic "expert".

I watched something on this the other day, nothing big, and that expert never did a single test himself or anything either and did not say her findings were right or wrong either. Just preparation and smart imo.

I'd think the D would be all over the transcripts, I mean there is a deadline... Seen that before though... The not being on top of things I mean. Jmo which is well known so won't voice it.

Really is the only new filing or activity. A precipe for transcript. Every time I hear that word I think is it a recipe that they want the original of lol. Such a layperson I am plus it brings cooking to mind lol.

Anyhow I don't THINK this has been mentioned here yet and has been known for a few days now, that they requested this transcript.

So seems like Tom's beginning won't have much new for filings other than such and rest will probably be questions, conversation and such over the conclusion of this case. Or so I'm guessing. I when I can though try to watch all of such as it's generally worth it.

He is working on a FINAL Delphi case trial, summaries of all witnesses, the case, etc. to sum it all up.

Lot of work, taking him a long time, saying may be a week. BOY that's way quicker than I could ever do such lol. So won't be a live but looking forward to it.

From memory he wasn't a ballistics expert at all, but a metallurgical expert, i thought they said.

It said doctor, I forget the name. I recall the metallurgy thing now that you mention it. Was he allowed to testify,. I know the P was arguing such, Gull did let him in if I recall correct?

I'm not sure if that's who they mean here but I guess it must be... Or was there more than one?

Going to the right thread here.

He is a SEX ADDICT. He SAID SO.

Convenient and STUPID that the one phone missing is the 2017 phone LOL. Great remark.

Back to the sexual addiction, WHERE was he getting his "juice" for his addiction up til then... This, self described, was a SEX ADDICT. Addiction NEEDS to be FED. Hearing a lot of hints that peope who worked for them through the the years have some things to say.

John Kelly's shows are GOOD. Loving I found something of quality on to watch although doesn't take much to be more quality than news.

After traditional news in this case, well maybe it's even more impressive than it normally would be even. Jmo.

Year and a half. Tom says if RA is offered a TV deal, he loves his wife a lot, will he do it and tell, to get her that money. I don't always agree with him but I don't buy for a minute he loves his wife. he is just between a rock and a hard place but perhaps he will give up. I doubt it though. I also don't believe in his dependency disorders, etc. This man is a SNAKE. If only we could ask the girls...

That would be disgusting if any company did that. They clearly need to outlaw that practice asap. We could ask Becky Patty, once she is allowed to speak. I bet she would have a lot to say about that.

That would have been around April/May 2023 timeframe- right when he was having his discovery meltdown.
Seems about right because turned out was about a year and a half ago. Was she trying to sell to get money to get him an atty since at that point his were non existent... I don't think I ever knew she sold. Is she still in Delphi... She's close as they had a fit throughout how far to visit, etc... Wanting him closer to home and so on. Good reporters would know this, how much was owed on the place and so on. But I won't sidetrack into news and how little they do these days. But one can get all of that from records at the courthouse. No one seems to though.

Or was she taking the money and going to run and leave him and the mess.. Half kidding. I have trouble having any respect for her at this point and I'm sure it shows.

I think so too. You know it was reported after one hearing how decent the families were to KA, etc. I think shared hugs, etc. Can't recall if it was just Abby's mom or both women, etc. Yet during the trial, Becky made it clear how they felt about him being protected as far as no one seeing the videos of him in prison, etc. but how they could show the girls at the worst so it is clear they don't have sympathy for him, maybe his wife, but not him. Hard to say.

I think they will have some things to say after the holidays. And it's just a guess but maybe will be doing something to make a difference or change some things but that's also hard to say. They've been through SO much. For so long they may want the opposite.

It would be disgusting if any company would do that but look at Asa...

I would not doubt KA has had her own offers or will have after the gag order is lifted. It will be interesting to see what if anything she says after. She already said it isn't over as we know., on leaving the courthouse after the verdict. Personally I think B & R are waiting too for this time period of offers etc.... Yep, disgusting. It does not need to be outlawed, Assets froze as well. Access for the spouse to live but can't go moving them or protecting them. Etc.

Imo KA should thank her lucky stars she did not have to take the stand. Again I do not agree with spousal privilege and that's also something news never looked into nor covered. I have a real suspicion she covered for him. We know she was talked to but never heard of it much or saw it. Not that we saw anything.

She always has Bob Motta the "family friend" though so she'll be okay. Lol.

Yeah nothing going on here... Or in this case, Or with this bunch.,..

Whether she's into it or being taken advantage of, who knows... By the vultures waiting to make off of it... I'd have to say after this long, she knows and is fine with it...

No cynicism in me lol.

Lol. Watching some more of Tom's show. Long way from finishing.

Didn't know this, I guess he audtioned to be on Wheel of Fortune. His video submission got him going there to a ballroom I think he said where they did like practice puzles on paper, etc. and hew as doing very well except they were telling him, show more energy be more excited and so he tried and he already was versus his more introverted ways. He got cut and the reason was not being extroverted enough. He said something about before that, the woman spun the wheel (I'm assuming a fake one, practice) and it landed on something okay and then she moved i to saying baknrupt. Not sure what he means there other than I am guessing he was expected to react to this. Lol.

It cracks me up too because we KNOW who made it on the show back when. Lori Daybell. Nope, nothing extroverted about her lol.

He isn't talking Daybell, he doesn't cover that one, but we all know she was on it.

Kind of a funny little aside here I thought.

And his video is on Delphi so I shared it here.

Lol. He also wants to be on Survivor. Submitted an audiition but they never called.

Heard the other night he wants to try his hand at stand up comedy.

Crime is NOT his normal thing lol.
