LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *TRIAL IN PROGRESS*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

We don't know that is when they were killed. It sounds like they were "moved" and "staged" and we do know they weren't found the night before. Logan was allegedly "playing" with his tropical fish all night...
Somewhere around 2:13 PM was the last time they used their phone according to the warrant. It says the last ping was 5:30 PM but I don’t see where it says where it pinged.

They were found the next day February 14 at about 12:17 PM.

I typed these out because I keep getting confused about the timeline. I’m hoping this will keep it in bedded in my brain. That affidavit has been very helpful.

Delphi victim’s mom on handling of case: ‘They don’t know what they’re doing, still’

The mother of one of the girls murdered in Delphi five years ago said she has lost faith in law enforcement.

Libby German’s mom, Carrie Timmons, is making that statement one week after I-team 8 revealed stunning new details in the case.

Last week, I-Team 8 with the help of the Murder Sheet Podcast was the first to shared documents that publicly describe the scene where Abby Williams and Libby German were murdered, what was taken from the scene, and a potential early suspect in the case.

“They don’t know that they’re doing, still. They’re kind of just circling around the same thing and there’s not really been a lot of movement in the case,” Timmons said.

Timmons says she wants to know why law enforcement never told her family about two people they were looking into as possible early suspects in the murders.

“It’s weird this information that all this information just now comes out and they act like it’s no big deal. So, I don’t know, I don’t know how important it is to the actual case, but it seems there’s a lot more information out there than what we know,” Timmons said.

She doesn’t believe Logan was the killer.

“If they had a case against him, they would have built it. They had easy access to do so. I mean I’ve never really believed Ron Logan did it, and I have said maybe he knows who did or he knew information because it was there on his property,” Timmons said.

Timmons also says she has asked Superintendent Doug Carter of the Indiana State Police to fill in the gaps, but she says so far that hasn’t happened. She say she even looked to sources from outside of Indiana for help.

“Doug Carter and I don’t particularly see eye to eye. We never have. I mean I’ve had conversations with police. I have spoken with private investigators. But, most of the people I have spoken with and private investigators have basically said there’s not a whole lot they can do because police won’t release information,” Timmons said.

At this point, Timmons says, she isn’t confident the case is any closer to being solved.

“I want to know why we still don’t have answers, why we’re still at a standstill five years later, especially knowing what we know now,” Timmons said.

A public information officer with the Indiana State Police tells I-Team 8 the agency is “politely declining to offer any comment.”

Timmons says it is important to remember no one has been arrested and sending tips remains crucial.

Hundreds of bikers participate in Abigail Williams and Liberty German benefit ride

Hundreds of bikers rode through three Indiana counties on Saturday for the sixth annual Libby and Abby benefit ride.

The event honors 13-year-old Abigail Williams and 14-year-old Liberty German, whose murders in Delphi remain unsolved.

The ride went from the Kitley Inn on Indianapolis' east side through Whiteland and Shelbyville. It raises money for safety and lighting improvements at the Abby and Libby Memorial Park.

The event is also a chance to keep the case in people's minds and hearts.

"We'll take a moment of silence and think about the kids, and then also we'll say a prayer, and then we'll lead the ride from that point on," said biker Anthony Grizzle.

I’m curious about the phone. This suspect was “knowledgable“ enough to not leave his own dna - not even a hair or a fuzz from his clothing?! - but the phone was still found by LE? Do we know where they found the phone? I guess maybe it was overlooked, falling out of a pocket or dropped as they left the bridge and then the battery died after the last ping? I’m kind of surprised if the perpetrator didn‘t look for it. He (yes, I think it’s a “he”) surely would have noticed them taking photos as he stalked them. What’s everyone’s take on this? Sorry if I missed it somewhere in this thread. Oh, and, this was the clearest I’ve ever heard the perpetrator’s voice and I thought he sounded younger than Ron Logan.

He does sound younger which would lean more towards the other guy, the Kevin Kline who in the somewhat recent past seemed to be a real consideration and I don't think is cleared or off the table.

The phone is odd that the perp didn't care but he probably was aware maybe they were using the phone but felt with his head down and more he wouldn't be recognized and a video probably never occurred to him where his voice would be heard OR he was very aware of all of this and planned for at least photos in how he dressed, maybe not the voice...?

DNA is something alluded to and said to be had but then again the little said that way is always vague as to what kind, how much, and all other things. I may post a comment in a bit remarking on using some if they have it. If I get around to it that is.

I think this has to do more with other unannounced cases. I don't think Libby and Abby have anything to do with it.
I just read it and was going to say the same thing. Glad I looked ahead and saw someone had the same thought. ISP would be involved with much of what Shotz IS arrested for OR it could have to do with Abby and Libby, hard to say but I think it is for the other but they may also be bringing in Abby and Libby or hoping he says something in talking of the other, etc. IF he is still talking that is. If he is not, unsure why they'd bring him in, he MUST have a lawyer or public defender no?

I guess we can hope. Maybe there is some break we don't know of. Or IF they found something more on him, maybe they can talk to him about a new charge the atty. representing him does not yet represent him on? Generally no atty. would let him talk or at least advise him not to so I wonder...

I actually figured at first this was bound to be an old article but was surprised on going in that it was this week, the article date and ISP taking him was recent...

I think UNLESS there is some new development or recent developments that are bringing new things and directions (like Kline for instance) five years with nothing is more than enough time to go the genetic matching/genealogy route IF they indeed have DNA. Yeah they could wait 30 years and maybe get a deathbed confession from someone not even on the radar or get a break or someone snitch that wouldn't all these years but so what in a way? Is waiting for justice for five more years, or ten, or even 20 or 30 years always better in such cases? This kind of perp could well be harming or molesting other children in the meantime OR murdering!

Unless they have NO USABLE DNA. I don't know a ton about the fine details of all of it but it takes far less by far these days than it used to. Of some types anyhow... I know that much, or think I do :)

It was Ronald, I'm sure. Two people, who knew him well, thought they were being shown footage of Ronald when the bridge guy.
This case is still so weird though like why did they switch up the sketch. The one seemed to match Libby's video but the other sure doesn't appear to...

Sometimes I think someone is being protected but there ARE viable suspects, however, we never heard about them until recently.... Ronald was rumored though from way back... But nothing was ever confirmed nor was the information out that is now...

Or else they have so little of it.

Or else they have so little of it.
That's another possibility.

That makes me wonder something. Can genetic testing use results from someone else? Meaning let's say LE had a DNA analysis run and they had the results. Let's say they don't have much if any DNA left but they have the test results. Can those results be used to determine genetic matches? I know it wouldn't maybe hold up in court or a defense may challenge they weren't able to test DNA themselves but I am just wondering if that could even be done...? Does anyone know?

Judge unseals documents in child porn case against man linked to murdered Delphi girls

A judge unsealed documents in the child pornography case of an Indiana man who's been linked to the murders of two young girls in Delphi, Indiana, five years ago.

According to a report from Fox59, the heavily redacted unsealed court documents in Kline's child pornography case reveal he had at least seven devices with evidence including images tied to the child porn case. The unsealed court documents also reveal that in some of the messages found on the devices another persona named "Emily Anne" would talk to teen girls about having sex with both Kline and his father.

Some images found on the devices depicted children as young as 3 in sex acts, the documents reveal.

Investigator said Kline was using a fake social media account using the alias "anthony_shots" to communicate with teens on Snapchat and Instagram. The account user posted profile images of a male model that portrayed himself as a wealthy man with sports cars in an effort to talk to young girls, solicit nude images and attempt to arrange meetings with them.

Kline is not charged in connection to the Delphi murders and has not been named as a suspect, although he was interviewed by a state trooper and a sheriff's deputy about his communication with Libby, and his home was searched 12 days after their murders.

Investigators said he admitted to speaking to about 15 underage girls and getting images from "every one of them." According to the affidavit, he told investigators that the girls' ages ranged from 15-17, and he probably received 100 sexual images from the girls.

Kline remains jailed with a $265,000 bond on the child porn case.

Anyone with any additional information on the murders of Abigail and Liberty is asked to email them to a special task force at: Abbyandlibbytip@cacoshrf.com or call 844-459-5786.
