I don’t understand what’s going on! Is this Barry’s ex girlfriend? I don’t watch this case that closely so I’m kind of lost.
If you mean who was arrested? Yes. She apparently just went to the old Morphew house, trespassed and took a package. They have her on home security video and reported her. It is no longer owned by Barry.

*(suspected of having a relationship; arrest affidavit in link below)

Shoshona Darke, the woman accused of having a relationship with Barry Morphew, has been arrested for trespassing.

Darke, 51, was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 28, for trespassing at Morphew’s former home in Maysville on Monday, Sept. 27. Investigators reviewed several different home security recordings and verified the information provided by the homeowner.

So I guess she didn’t really have a relationship with Barry if she was arrested, right?
As far as I know she is still with Barry. Are you thinking he turned her in? No, she went to the old Morphew house which Barry no longer owns. It was the new owners that turned her in when they saw her on footage at what is now their residence, not Barry's.

Ohhhhhhhh. That’s why I couldn’t understand why in the world she was arrested. Thank you for clearing that up for me.

No details that I know of but all I can think is that maybe Barry ordered something like on Amazon and did not realize his old address was in there? And it was delivered to his old house? And maybe they tracked it and knew and he sent his gf to the house to trespass and grab the package?? I don't know this at all, it is my guess... Who does that? Just knock on the door or call and ask the owners or whatever.

OR was she just stealing from the neighborhood like a porch bandit? Or did he send something there intentionally for an excuse to send her to the property to look at something?

Odd. No details in the case that I know of to know why she took a package.

But yeah, it is NOT the Morphews home any longer. Weird huh?

Yeah I missed the memo on him selling the house. I remember it was for sale, but I don’t think I knew that it was actually sold. Or if I did, I completely forgot.

I think it allegedly did once or twice and fell through or it was said it did and it didn't go through and then finally it was. I think. Maybe he even knows who has it, I have no idea. But it is no longer his.

What's next Barry? A squirrel?. Idiot.
Almost every time he can't explain something or where he was in a spot he never said he was, etc., it was chipmunks, the mountain lion, a turkey Mallory shot, a bull elk. And more, each and every time some hunting/animal excuse. This man is not bright but truly thinks he is per others....

Those are the worst kind. Idiots that think they are smart. Chipmunks. Rabies?. Geez.

Yes, there is info that shows (allegedly) that his phone was zinging all around their property in different spots rapidly. Conjecture would be he was chasing her with either the gun or the tranquilizer gun/dart. He claims he was darting around shooting chipmunks... Of course this was right about the time Suzanne had her last contact with anyone...

Then he claimed more than once to LE that he went straight from their home to Broomfield on that Mother's Day and gave his route more than once. Well every time he is presented with evidence as the year goes on, he changes his story. It was found by his truck telematics that he took a little detour which was right where LO AND BEHOLD her biking helmet was found. His story was oh, he forgot, he saw a herd of elk and a big bull elk so he turned around to see the trail the deer took and how they traveled/where... At about 4 something in the morning in the dark no less...

Also he claimed he did not leave home until around 5 a.m. Not true, left far earlier. So obvious, so many lies but yep, thinks he is smart... And that people will believe him...

These are just a few things in the 130 page AA....

From reporter Lauren Scharf late last night. She is a reliable source and she and her assistant Sara have been great on this case.

I'll try to summarize it, it's about 1/2 hour long.

So we know Barry got out on bond. People were not happy when they heard his ankle monitor was not going to be a GPS unit. Well I guess by the time he bonded out I think that following Monday after the hearing, they found out they could obtain a GPS type monitor (court had thought answer was no) and a company, etc. to monitor it. So they switched it to a GPS monitor.

However, within short order, the company realized they could get no signal from where he is residing (right next door basically to his old home) because of the area. They advised the Court immediately and to date the Court has done nothing about it or so it sounds. The GPS company/monitoring system place says if he is home and it is taken off, tampered with or anything, they would not know. Also, if he is around that non signal area, they would not know and he has for instance a restraining order from seeing or contacting the Ritters, also in that area.

The State/Linda Stanley also asked for revised bond and filed something right around the same time as the GPS company. They want him somewhere other than his old home area where he CAN be monitored and suggest at Shona's home in town near the Courthouse. They don't want him near his old property or the Ritters and without signals naturally. He has been "unmonitored" already for a couple of weeks I believe and if they leave it like this until the next court hearing, he will have at least another week unmonitored.

I'm sorry but this is b.s. I have tried to give this Judge, like many, the benefit of the doubt but wth? Revise it. Quickly. No?

Let's remember this man already sent his gf to his old house to trespass and take a package and she has charges. The old home is likely where SM was murdered and many think she is hidden in this area...

As an aside to this, one of the Morphew daughters if I have it right is friends with someone who would have been monitoring in Chaffee County so the Judge back when did switch monitoring I think to Fremont County, same company but different branch because of this relationship I think is what Lauren said.

Now in addition to all this, there is a restraining order motion filed against Shoshona. Lauren says it is not about the trespassing at the old house but is from someone else who wants an order against her. She did not share the name. She says she believes it does connect to the case overall.

I think that hearing is Thursday. I wonder why such a secret. She knows who it is and I am sure it is filed in the Court. Commenters who looked can't find it though and Colorado seems to only put up some things on their cases. I am sure if someone went to the Courthouse they could obtain it I imagine so maybe it will come out from someone else once aware this is going on... Another channel holder or something...

As far as I'm concerned Barry should be back in jail. Shona broke the law for him imo and if that package especially if it had his name on it, it would be pretty clear he was notified of its delivery and sent her there to commit a crime. The way she lies for him though she would likely deny he sent her. Sigh.

This video is about half an hour but if you want to watch it, I'd say it is more like 20 minutes because the last ten maybe is mostly Lauren answering questions in chat. I think I have recapped most of it though here.

Ankle monitor signal can't be picked up at or near Barry Morphew's home

Barry Morphew, who is charged in connection with the 2020 disappearance and presumed death of his wife Suzanne, is free on bond while he awaits trial, but problems with a GPS monitoring system threaten to change that.

Last month, following a multi-day preliminary hearing, Judge Patrick Murphy ruled there was enough evidence to proceed to trial, but said prosecutors did not meet the "high standard of evidence" to deny bail. He subsequently set Morphew's bail at $500,000 cash only, which he posted on Sept. 20 ahead of his trial set for May 2022.

As part of his bond, Murphey ordered Morphew to not travel outside Chaffee County without the court's permission, to surrender his passport and to wear an ankle monitor. Conditions were later modified by the court to allow Morphew to travel outside the county to meet with his attorneys or to service or maintain his GPS unit.

However, Salida-based Intervention Inc., which is tasked with monitoring the GPS system, wrote in a court filing on Sept. 21 that they're "unable to pick up a GPS or cell signal" in the area of Morphew's home.

Due to that lack of communication, the company said they cannot provide the court with any "battery or tamper alert information" when Morphew is at or near his home.

The motion asked the court for "further direction" on the "continued GPS monitoring requirements."

In a separate motion filed that same day, District Attorney Linda Stanley asked the court to modify Morphew's bond conditions to prevent him from living at a home on Puma Path Drive in Maysville which is frequently used as a vacation rental.

Stanley asked that he not be allowed to live there because it's only a "few hundred yards" from another home that Morphew was previously ordered to stay away from.

Barry Morphew can’t be tracked at current address

The company who is now overseeing the GPS monitoring of murder suspect Barry Morphew is now saying that they cannot track him at his current address due to its remote location.

Given Morphew’s location, the District Attorney’s Office for the 11th District has released a statement asking the courts to reconsider Morphew’s bond since he cannot be tracked at his current residence.

The office added to the statement that they believe Morphew is living close to witnesses who will testify in the 2022 trial.

And to date, from what I understand, the Judge has done nothing about it so Barry is aware he cannot be monitored in that area. The man is charged with murder for goodness sakes in the first degree.

Judge rules Barry Morphew can stay living in Maysville, despite ankle-monitor not tracking

Barry Morphew, the man accused of killing his wife, Suzanne Morphew, saw a judge for the first time since being let out of the Chaffee County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

On Wednesday, Judge Patrick Murphy ruled Morphew can continue to live in the home next to his old house off Puma Path in Maysville without a GPS monitoring him. The judge’s condition is that Morphew has to go to Poncha Springs, the next town over to have the information downloaded every day.

Judge in Morphew murder case to release case file

The judge in Barry Morphew's murder case will release the entire case file likely by the end of this week. District Judge Patrick Murphy told attorneys on both sides Wednesday to go through their motions before he gives the word to the court clerk staff to make the files public on the 11th Judicial District's website.

Court clerk Dana Petri says there are many motions that have been suppressed throughout the case and that as soon as Murphy gives the word, she will make them public.
