ONGOING CRIME BREAKING NEWS!

Starting in January 2020, this thread is about the news as it breaks!

Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

IMO- stay in jail

Wow. A woman that apparently taught her cat to bark. I would be pizzed someone suggested I put a shock collar on my dog.
That would depend on the collar and if the neighbor is aware of their dog incessantly barking and has done nothing to try to get them to stop. I've had a neighbor that I would have put one on their dog if they had the ones available now at the time. They would let it out at 2-3am and just let it bark for hours right under my infants window. :gaah: I didn't blame the dog. It was 100% on his people and they thought it was not an issue. I would never have done anything to the dog, but let's just say revenge was served cold and they still have no idea :giggling:

And she used a credit to buy magnetic eyelashes? I don't think anyone is going to spend good money on a shock collar and send it to someone they don't think has the dog that won't stop. Of course, it is always better to try to talk to a neighbor first. Maybe they were mistaken, maybe not about where the dog lives. I have known people that "don't" have dogs but a few of their friends know they do but the landlord does not and so forth....

Shock collars can be set very low and it only takes once or twice with most dogs, it can be no more than a tingle that distracts them from barking like what's that? There are other ways of course to train or stop them barking. Barking dogs continually bother as many neighbors who do not have one or have a well behaved dog as the totally bratty kids you deal with bother you who I know are seriously disrespectful. Just sayin'...

Hard to say what the truth is in this case. I took it halfway seriously until it ended with magnetic eyelashes LOL.
