Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

I was going to make him a thread after he all he is a missing child. Then I could find not another thing about him in a quick search. A few outlets have just this announcement and not a thing more. No detail, nothing. So I put it here. I even almost moved on for lack of finding out more on it and then I felt guilty, and thought, this child deserves as much attention as any other, so I posted it here for now. Hopefully, it picks up some steam and more info is provided by LE or whoever...
 
So typical. He stabs her how many times and then as one witness put it, ran over her like she was a speed bump. Then they find him with a self inflicted single knife wound at a motel ALIVE. What did he do poor baby, get enough guts to like prick his little finger??? Who is going to raise your parentless child now, not that he is worried or was worried about that I am sure... It never ceases to amaze me they can kill an entire family of their own at times (perps I mean, no one specifically) but the thought of harming themselves??? Oh NOOO can't go there. He is scared to get a boo-boo. He matters TOO MUCH. Who cares though the fear and pain inflicted on the others... SMDH.

No explanation then unless I missed it? Doesn't matter though, just glad to hear he is safe and alive, that is always the overriding concern.
