Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

They had better be investigating that one. A 3 year old turns it on himself and fires it? Not saying it is impossible but I would still be doing gunshot residue tests and more. Did someone leave this with a safety off in a coat pocket or what?? AND the kid found it?
 
This is downright odd if you ask me. Maybe when sorted out it will make sense. So officers show up for a welfare check, no answer, no noise, apparently no reason to be concerned further. Then an hour later, someone calls 911 hearing a disturbance. An officer heads over and once there, then hears shots. He calls for backup and enters and finds the judge. Then when officers called for medical assistance a man wielding a large knife comes at them. It was the son who allegedly killed her. He was told to stand down did not and was killed by officers. Then there was a man on the lawn with a handgun who they let go because he was a family member who came to check on the judge and he "was not charged for shots that were fired"???

1. The killer switched from a gun to a knife, where is his gun?
2. The guy on the lawn has a gun.
3. The officers killed the guy with the knife, the son accused of killing her...
4. If the son was there when the welfare check occurred, why did he not then take off after and why would he kill her only when the officers came back and not in the hour in between if the shots were him killing her but were they, he had a knife a short time later...?
5. And then they hear shots and he kills her when there is an officer outside when he could have at any time earlier and after the welfare check?
6. Or were the shots the man in the yard later (where was he then) and the judge was not killed by gun but hearing the shots allowed them to enter??

It probably will all make sense eventually but it sounds very odd/very strange to me right now with nothing making sense and we do have one dead man who can't talk... This is either poorly written or the facts are not clear whatsoever so far... Imo...

The allegations were published late last week by The Intercept. The article describes the views of five sergeants and two staff sergeants responsible for overseeing some of the 38,000 soldiers at Fort Hood, characterizing the environment as having "become so dangerous that they fear for the safety of their soldiers," according to the article.

WOW, they have found a car of a man who has been missing for seven years. Adventures with Purpose. Wow. Today they are pulling it out. A week or two ago they found a car and a husband of a woman who had a fair idea of where she thought he would go. This bunch is also going to look for Suzanne Morphew and I am hopeful although the range in that case is anyone's guess where she may be.

 
Well here is a weird one that I would think will result in more news. This woman was found after being dead three years under a pile of clothing on her bed. I gather there was a welfare check at one time with no finding her and I gather she had adult children, all with issues, several of them... I gather she was found when an eviction proceeded...

It sounds as if the adult children continued to live there, hard to say, and I would have to guess rent was being paid somehow or most landlords would have evicted someone long before...

Strange is all I am saying...

They have a live going now on this. There WERE remains found in the car, of course thus far unidentfied. I will post the live/Youtube video next to not put it all in this post.
