A 20-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, is missing, and Army investigators are reaching out to the public for help finding her.

Pfc Vanessa Guillen was last seen wearing a black T-shirt early Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of her Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters, 3rd Cavalry Regiment. Her car keys, barracks room key, identification card and wallet were found in the armory room where she was working, Fort Hood said.

Mayra Guillen, the soldier’s sister, posted on Facebook that her sister’s phone was last pinged near Belton, about 20 miles east of the Army post. “Something is not right,” she wrote, “please help me find her.”

‘Extensive search’ continues for missing soldier in Texas after keys, wallet found

Agents at a U.S. military post in Texas are searching for a soldier who has been missing for three days.

Private First Class Vanessa Guillen, 20, was last seen Wednesday afternoon in a parking lot at Fort Hood, where she’s stationed, wearing a black T-shirt.

“Her car keys, barracks room key, identification card and wallet were later found in the armory room where she was working earlier in the day,” officials said in a press release.

Friends and family of Guillen have flooded their social media accounts with pleas to the public to contact the authorities if anyone has any information.

Mayra Guillen wrote on a Facebook post that her sister’s phone was last tracked on Belton, Texas, about 20 minutes away from where she was last seen. Neither her boyfriend or relatives have heard from her since she disappeared, she said.

“Please help me find my girlfriend,” Guillen’s boyfriend, Juan Cruz, tweeted on Friday. “Please anything helps.”

“An extensive search is underway by military members, as well as civilian and military police,” authorities said. Special agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command are also involved in the search.

Dropped off at home by someone from the base in this case? Is that correct? His staff sergeant dropped him off at home...?

And he's not been heard of or seen since. If I remember correctly he was supposed to call his aunt on monday, but nothing. All those cases stink to high heaven.
I agree. They not only stink, they reek... Imo.

Going to share this here if okay as it does mention Guillen and relates to the overall Fort Hood thing. Why is it that even while on the surface, this arrest seems good in this other case that doubts still linger? For one, how did they miss three dead bodies the first time? I don't know... Anyhow recent headline....

Wow. That's a pretty big deal. Maybe they are doing something and getting somewhere on this. It remains to be seen I guess. To me it only makes sense that this goes higher up than what we have seen thus far...

Maybe I am way too cynical, but I have the feeling that they chose a scapegoat and many other big fish will walk scot free. But let's wait how this developes.

I think much like you do. I think this is deep, way deep. This type of thing does not go on this long and that often without it being that way imo. It is a start but let's see how far they go from here. It was not real great to read that this guy is still there either, even if only in a "support" capacity.

Yes, if they fall, they fall softly😤. It's not different in Europe, they have their connections and won't lose their pension, no matter what😡. Just disgusting.

It is disgusting. No dishonorable discharge either. So far anyhow. Probably just wait until all dies down and let him continue that career even...? I sure hope that is not what is going on but I am cynical as well, happens way too often in many walks of life.

If I try to be hopeful, maybe there is some deal and he is helping get others...? I tend to very much doubt it though.

Congress will launch an investigation into sexual assault, disappearances, deaths and the leadership’s response at Fort Hood after 28 soldiers stationed at the U.S. Army base in Texas died this year, two subcommittee leaders announced Tuesday.
According to data from Fort Hood officials, the 28 deaths include five homicides, as well as accidents, suicides, deaths related to illness, cases still under investigation and one combat-related death.
Democratic Reps. Stephen Lynch of Massachusetts and Jackie Speier of California sent a letter to Army Secretary Ryan D. McCarthy requesting documents and information on the deaths. Lynch chairs the Committee on Oversight and Reform’s Subcommittee on National Security, and Speier leads the Committee on Armed Services’ Subcommittee on Military Personnel.
According to the letter, the subcommittees will jointly investigate if recent deaths “may be symptomatic of underlying leadership, discipline, and morale deficiencies throughout the chain-of-command.”
The letter said that according to Army data there were an average of 129 felonies committed annually at Fort Hood between 2014 and 2019, including cases of homicide, sexual assault, kidnapping, robbery and aggravated assault.
The members of Congress cited the deaths of Spc. Vanessa Guillen, who according to federal officials was bludgeoned to death at the Texas base in April by a fellow soldier, and Pvt. Gregory Morales, whose remains were found in June while searching for Guillen. Morales was reported missing in August 2019.
The letter also names Pvt. Mejhor Morta and Sgt. Elder Fernandes, whose deaths are still under investigation, and the homicide investigations of Pvt. Brandon Scott Rosecrans, Spc. Freddy Delacruz Jr. and Spc. Shelby Tyler Jones.
According to the letter, McCarthy during an August visit to Texas stated that Fort Hood had the “highest, the most cases for sexual assault and harassment and murders for our entire formation of the US Army.”
Lynch and Speier said they will report the conditions and circumstances that could have contributed to the soldiers’ deaths and seek justice on behalf of soldiers and families “who may have been failed by a military system and culture that was ultimately responsible for their care and protection.”
The family of Guillen, whose remains were found on July 1, has rallied from Texas to the doors of the White House calling for a congressional investigation. Natalie Khawam, who represents the Guillen family, said she is thankful Congress has agreed to their demands to investigate.
“Our soldiers and their families deserve the truth,” Khawam said.
Leaders of the Navajo Nation said in a statement Tuesday that they sent letters to members of Congress calling for “a congressional inquiry and formal investigation” into the deaths of two Navajo Nation members who were stationed at Fort Hood.
Pvt. Carlton L. Chee, 25, died on Sept. 2 after collapsing at the Texas base following physical training exercises on Aug. 28, according to Fort Hood officials. The Navajo Nation Office of the President and Vice President also received information from the family of Spc. Miguel D. Yazzie, who died on July 3 at Fort Hood, according to a statement from Navajo leaders.
“It is very troubling that while they are mourning the loss of their loved ones, they are not receiving adequate and timely factual information regarding the time leading up to their deaths,” said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.

Trial delayed for woman linked to Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen's slaying

A federal judge has delayed the trial for Cecily Aguilar, a woman accused by authorities of helping to dismember and dispose of Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen in April.

Aguilar's hearing set for Monday was instead pushed back to Nov. 30, according to officials from the U.S. District Court, Western District of Texas, Waco Division.

Judge Alan Albright ordered the trial to be reset after a request by Aguilar's defense team for extra time to prepare their case.

Something is seriously wrong with such people. They must lead some pretty pathetic lives to feel a need to do such a thing.
