A 20-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, is missing, and Army investigators are reaching out to the public for help finding her.

Pfc Vanessa Guillen was last seen wearing a black T-shirt early Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of her Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters, 3rd Cavalry Regiment. Her car keys, barracks room key, identification card and wallet were found in the armory room where she was working, Fort Hood said.

Mayra Guillen, the soldier’s sister, posted on Facebook that her sister’s phone was last pinged near Belton, about 20 miles east of the Army post. “Something is not right,” she wrote, “please help me find her.”

‘Extensive search’ continues for missing soldier in Texas after keys, wallet found

Agents at a U.S. military post in Texas are searching for a soldier who has been missing for three days.

Private First Class Vanessa Guillen, 20, was last seen Wednesday afternoon in a parking lot at Fort Hood, where she’s stationed, wearing a black T-shirt.

“Her car keys, barracks room key, identification card and wallet were later found in the armory room where she was working earlier in the day,” officials said in a press release.

Friends and family of Guillen have flooded their social media accounts with pleas to the public to contact the authorities if anyone has any information.

Mayra Guillen wrote on a Facebook post that her sister’s phone was last tracked on Belton, Texas, about 20 minutes away from where she was last seen. Neither her boyfriend or relatives have heard from her since she disappeared, she said.

“Please help me find my girlfriend,” Guillen’s boyfriend, Juan Cruz, tweeted on Friday. “Please anything helps.”

“An extensive search is underway by military members, as well as civilian and military police,” authorities said. Special agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command are also involved in the search.

Just maybe sarcasm, but perhaps they hope it will make them more believable about their cameras and check in system, if the mikes aren't great either....

Well I now have it just running in the background. It is interfering with nothing. Like a low murmur. Next video up will probably blast me out of here and my neighbors will hear it as I have all on full sound, high volume. Just ranting. Feel free to ignore.

I have looked it up and know that Fort Hood is one of our most important bases in this country. Feasible to shut it all down? Maybe not. But a more important place such things should not go on ever??? It may be minor but the general or whoever he was did a slip on Fort Bliss and Fort Hood. Problems at both are there?? Confusing them...?

Pfc Guillen informed her Mom that she was being sexually harrassed by 2 superiors, not a fellow co-worker who wasn't in her chain of command.

IMOO, Pfc Robinson took the fall for someone else. Also, she worked in the armory which is where weapons are kept & the Army still says there were no cameras in this room?!

Interesting theory. I wouldn't doubt it if he was "ordered" to do something or take the fall / clean up the mess.
I think it's also possible that he DID kill her, and they're just lumping him in with the sexual assaults so they don't have to investigate that part anymore.

But regarding the cameras... this is the same military base that had a mass-shooting (killing 14, injuring 30 more). And they STILL have a LOT of areas of the base not covered by cameras or the cameras "don't work" or "aren't on" all of the time.

In response to questions about cameras at Fort Hood, multiple people have said on Facebook that there just aren’t many cameras on the base. In one discussion on The Ft. Hood Fallen, one person who was at Fort Hood a year ago wrote: “There aren’t many cameras. Just a fact for Hood. Red light cameras, perhaps, but surveillance? No.”

I agree. Do they really think people are going to fall for this story? I like when the guy chastises the public and for naming people online who are "not" involved. Now we all get the internet and rumors but seriously?? Who do they think they are? They have provided flat out lies and cover ups and treated the family like garbage. By their very own actions, they created the talk. They act as if this is one rogue incident by one guy or something. This runs way deeper than that and no one will convince me otherwise. Like She says below, it is the site of other things as well, not just assaults and single murders of which there seems to be an overabundance.

I picture even right now the vibe of the place today. I bet it is a tense feeling of if you dare open your mouth soldier, when this hype dies down, you will pay the price... This is just me talking, to be clear...

This is someone higher up the chain of command. They have not been covering for years for some lower level PFC Robinson. He did not create a bloody bath in the armory, keep a body there all day and no one else know about it, was involved in it and more.

So I think it is only just now I realized Robinson was all of 20? I WANT to hear why the male soldier was also only found in the same area! Only when pushed by the public and Guillen's family and then she is found. All too magical and pat for me.

There is a "ring" of something going on here. At minimum. And the married woman is 22? They are a cog of something bigger imo. Ruin a 20 year old's career??? I guess he could take something that seriously but it just doesn't ring right. She had something bigger on someone or someones is my guess. And again, what did the dead male soldier do?

I shall stop. Can't sleep so there ya go... On here talking at myself lol.

Army investigators have positively identified the remains of Spc. Vanessa Guillén, her family told The Washington Post on Sunday, more than two months after she vanished from Fort Hood.

The documents do not list a motive in the killing. But Khawam said the family was briefed for hours by CID officials and relayed statements made by Aguilar. She told investigators that Robinson told her Guillén saw a photo of Aguilar on his phone, and she knew Aguilar to be an estranged wife of a former Fort Hood soldier.

Adultery is a crime in the military, and Robinson allegedly had told Aguilar that Guillén said she would report him, Aguilar recounted.

But the family does not believe that version of events, and said that if Guillén were to report anything about Robinson, it would be harassment, Khawam said.

I don't buy it either. It just does not fit. He is not even the one who called her into work, although in this case it is hard to know the lies from the truth. Been busy so was on a podcast days ago I just got back to today to finish. It is Linda from It's a Crime. In the second half of it particularly she starts to share things Tim Miller said that I was unaware of. I knew of some, not of all.

He says he is probably one of the least liked people by our military right now. He does not generally go too far out on a case or talk too much but I have seen him before share things investigators won't. In this case, he made it clear, he could not stay quiet for what he saw going on. One of the top dogs refused to believe the tote found ha anything to do with Guillen for one thing. And there is more. He was so disturbed by what appears to be cover-up and botched job, he felt he had to say something and say it publicly. He has a lot of credit with people and I am one that has no problem believing him.

As we know, he contacted the family when the military still would not. He told us it was her body.

As Linda says, any which way you look at this, there are far too many holes and issues.

Tim Miller is highly respected & an honorable person who knows 1st hand what it's like to have a child missing. He calls it like it is & I admire that.

I agree. If he says this case is not "kosher" then it's not. I think most of us already felt that way anyhow, I know I did. This is bigger than Vanessa. And the dead man is not the top of it. Imho.

This is an article dated yesterday. Most articles including this one still state she was last seen in the parking lot and yet we now have her killed at base and inside. This case seems to be one big bunch of lies or at minimum a botched mess. I know what I think...

Yeah. Because information from her male superiors, and her lack of filing an official complaint, means it didn't happen. :nono:

Army official says Vanessa Guillen 'potentially' harassed at Fort Hood but 'not of sexual nature'

An Army official said today that investigators have "identified some information" that Vanessa Guillen was "potentially" harassed at Fort Hood, but that it was "not of a sexual nature," according to ABC News.

The official also said there may have been "some sexual comments made to her," but they were not from Specialist Aaron Robinson, her alleged killer "or any other parties of interest in the investigation."

This information was passed along to the broader investigation currently underway into potential sexual assaults at Fort Hood, according to the Army official.

Investigators have not found any records that would show Guillen filed any complaints and no one in her chain of command told them that she ever discussed any sort of harassment with them, the official told ABC News.

The lead Army investigator in the case has said publicly that the investigation into her disappearance has so far not found any links of sexual harassment prior to the incident that led to her death.

Today, the Army official said they can't conclusively prove sexual harassment didn't happen, did happen or that "something occurred between the two of them," but Army investigators did not find any evidence to support sexual harassment in cell phone records or text messages as they investigated her disappearance.

Fort Hood’s command climate is under review amid investigation into killing of Spc. Vanessa Guillen

As FBI and Army Criminal Investigation Command authorities continue to investigate the circumstances concerning the April 22 disappearance and subsequent killing of a young, female soldier, big Army is taking a broader look at the community where it happened.

Fort Hood, Texas, will be the subject of an independent command climate review, Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy told reporters Friday, to be headed up by Army Under Secretary James McPherson.

“The purpose of this independent review is to examine whether the command climate and culture at Fort Hood and the military community surrounding Fort Hood respects Army values — including respect, inclusiveness and workplaces free from sexual harassment and a commitment to diversity,” McPherson said.

In the course of the search for Spc. Vanessa Guillen, 20, and the subsequent response to the discovery of her remains on June 29, Twitter and other social media platforms lit up with stories of service members about their own sexual harassment, assault and intimidation while serving.

And Army senior leadership heard directly from personnel serving at Hood about the need to examine the command.

“There were concerns raised not just with sexual harassment, but other aspects as well, with regard to the greater community of Fort Hood and the surrounding community — raised by not only the Guillen family, but by the Hispanic community, and Congress as well,” McPherson said.

They are doing themselves no favor. They think a play at a bit of a song and dance is going to do it... There did not need to be a formal complaint by her, she did not dare. People are not stupid. Throw a subordinate or two under the bus, look like you are doing a big look at things and all goes away. I have said it early on in this case, I cannot bring it up nor find it all, but I knew in my head, Fort Hood had had many, many things that may have glanced the news over decades and then immediately they disappear... And I know many of them were about rape and sexual harassment... Missing people... Strange deaths...

The first PC not long ago they probably HAD to do only when the family got some push behind them and they actually chastised the public for onine comments, etc.??? What??? Oh wow. Did that irritate me the superiority of it... We all know social media, FB etc. can get out of hand with rumors and more... In this case though?? I just watched and thought if this place had not committed such a blatant coverup, lack of investigation and terrible continued treatment of her family, there would not be anything to talk about online! For goodness sakes, Tim Miller had to do something he does not usually do and get somewhat involved and SAY what he thought AND advise the family AND advise how the military was treating the family AND go on about things that did not make sense...

Woman accused of helping dismember Vanessa Guillen’s body pleads not guilty to charges

A 22-year-old woman accused of helping hide the body of slain Texas soldier Vanessa Guillen pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges related to the crime.

Cecily Aguilar of Killeen, near Fort Hood, entered the pleas Tuesday in federal court in Waco to three conspiracy charges in the death of Army Spc. Guillén, 20. Aguilar remains in the Bell County Jail in Belton, Texas, while awaiting trial.

If convicted, Aguilar faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.

Army Spc. Aaron Robinson, 20, of Calumet City, Illinois, killed Guillén with a hammer and had Aguilar help him dismember and dispose of the body in nearby woods, federal and state investigators said. The pair dismembered the body using a “hatchet or ax” and a “machete type knife” to remove Guillen’s limbs and head, according to an affidavit from the FBI.
