A 20-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, is missing, and Army investigators are reaching out to the public for help finding her.

Pfc Vanessa Guillen was last seen wearing a black T-shirt early Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of her Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters, 3rd Cavalry Regiment. Her car keys, barracks room key, identification card and wallet were found in the armory room where she was working, Fort Hood said.

Mayra Guillen, the soldier’s sister, posted on Facebook that her sister’s phone was last pinged near Belton, about 20 miles east of the Army post. “Something is not right,” she wrote, “please help me find her.”

‘Extensive search’ continues for missing soldier in Texas after keys, wallet found

Agents at a U.S. military post in Texas are searching for a soldier who has been missing for three days.

Private First Class Vanessa Guillen, 20, was last seen Wednesday afternoon in a parking lot at Fort Hood, where she’s stationed, wearing a black T-shirt.

“Her car keys, barracks room key, identification card and wallet were later found in the armory room where she was working earlier in the day,” officials said in a press release.

Friends and family of Guillen have flooded their social media accounts with pleas to the public to contact the authorities if anyone has any information.

Mayra Guillen wrote on a Facebook post that her sister’s phone was last tracked on Belton, Texas, about 20 minutes away from where she was last seen. Neither her boyfriend or relatives have heard from her since she disappeared, she said.

“Please help me find my girlfriend,” Guillen’s boyfriend, Juan Cruz, tweeted on Friday. “Please anything helps.”

“An extensive search is underway by military members, as well as civilian and military police,” authorities said. Special agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command are also involved in the search.

Woman accused of helping dismember Vanessa Guillen’s body pleads not guilty to charges

A 22-year-old woman accused of helping hide the body of slain Texas soldier Vanessa Guillen pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges related to the crime.

Cecily Aguilar of Killeen, near Fort Hood, entered the pleas Tuesday in federal court in Waco to three conspiracy charges in the death of Army Spc. Guillén, 20. Aguilar remains in the Bell County Jail in Belton, Texas, while awaiting trial.

If convicted, Aguilar faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.

Army Spc. Aaron Robinson, 20, of Calumet City, Illinois, killed Guillén with a hammer and had Aguilar help him dismember and dispose of the body in nearby woods, federal and state investigators said. The pair dismembered the body using a “hatchet or ax” and a “machete type knife” to remove Guillen’s limbs and head, according to an affidavit from the FBI.
I would have guessed she had perhaps been cut some type of deal but it does not appear so if she pled not guilty...

Pretty good and short podcast by Linda. If you have not seen it, I am just catching up. With clips of the attorney and more. As usual, Linda packs a lot in a short podcast. Cecily's husband backs her??? The family attorney said how bizarre that is.

Quite honestly, just for me, I am not buying it, almost any of it. Everything is too convenient and too pat... Something bigger is going on... These two, dead guy, and Cecily are either the fall guys or the "hired" ones to take care of the problem... Brutal murder, cleaned up, at the base... How unreal... All of it... I have a very hard time believing dead guy/suicided guy is the superior Vanessa was talking about who no one dared go up against as she had heard it and knew from others... Dead guy ain't even who called her in... Dead guy if anything was likely a lackey or took orders from another... Superior to them both... To me that makes a whole lot more sense than dead guy having done a brutal murder, cleaned it up himself and had trouble with Vanessa on a day HE did not call her in, someone else did... ???

Linda is taking this one on pretty strongly... And not just the recent deaths, etc. I hope she keeps with it. Like she has with the Secret Society... She would be a great one to get on Scientology...

Comment in Linda's end of the world Doomsday podcast, still catching up out there--how is it a secure military base (secure right, cameras, security, Fort Hood can't have terrorists getting through gates--etc., etc. does not have security cameras or any security?????). Yah right... I am paraphrasing but it is the gist... Linda gets right on it... This woman dares to touch though somewhat careful and go where so many are chicken sh*t to go... And that, in my opinion, is one of the biggest problems that exist nowadays in this world.... If people think it, or even SEE it or anything anywhere, they won't dare say it... Jmo.

This 8 minute or so video is worth watching in my opinion. The bill and issue has good bipartisan support and how rare is that? This family has went so all out for Vanessa as have the attorney, etc. who has stepped up for them. And while a bill alone imo will not look into what is more deeply going on at this base, etc., they also are still committed to finding answers in Vanessa's case, how no one saw this, and more.

Anyhow, I thought this coverage was a nice well rounded one hitting on all of the key points.

Also a good article, covering that things are being looked into and more. Let's hope. At least this family has a light shining on it. Imo there are bigger problems at that base than the man who committed suicide...

Smh. Likely not related, but man, lots of criminal energy in and around Fort Hood.

I don't know--I think murder, child prostitution, trafficking, adult prostitution, sexual harassment, rape, drugs, and anyone finding out about any of it or being new, young and naive who thinks they can do anything about it being "disappeared" can all go together...

It is interesting that in an area with a lot of crime and incidents where none were solved all of a sudden now that major attention has been brought, we are seeing cases (like this one) and discovery of missing people and more... Let's hope it continues.

Jmo.

(CNN)The US Army is asking for the public's help in finding 23-year-old Fort Hood soldier Elder Fernandes, according to a statement from Fort Hood in Texas.

"The 1st Cavalry Division is actively attempting to locate Sgt. Elder Fernandes who has gone missing," the statement said. "Our primary concern is for his health and well-being."
Fernandes is about 5 feet, 4 inches tall, and weighs approximately 133 pounds, according to the Killeen Police Department, which is investigating his disappearance. Police said he was last seen wearing black army shorts and a t-shirt with red athletic shoes.

According to Killeen police, Fernandes' family said the 23-year-old was last seen on Monday afternoon by his staff sergeant when he was dropped off at his home in Killeen.
"This is very, very unusual," Isbael Fernandes, the missing soldier's aunt, told CNN affiliate KTRK. She last spoke with her nephew last Friday morning and said that he'd called his mother on Sunday. Fernandes promised to call again on Monday, his aunt said.
"Monday came and went and he didn't call, and he didn't answer calls from anyone else. Tuesday, no calls and my sister ended up flying down there yesterday, and still we haven't heard from him," she told KTRK.

According to Fort Hood, Fernandes is a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear specialist assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade. Finding him is a "top priority for the Division," Fort Hood's statement said.

"We have completed a search of the entire division area, to include motorpools, parking lots, and headquarters buildings," the statement said, "and the unit is in contact with the Soldiers Family [sic], the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division and civilian law enforcement agencies to help find him as we continue our search."

Anyone who has seen Fernandes or knows where he might be is asked to contact Killeen police, the Fort Hood Military Police or US Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID).
This year, there have been a series of incidents in which Fort Hood soldiers have vanished and died, perhaps the most high-profile of which was the murder of Spc. Vanessa Guillen. The main suspect in her disappearance -- another Fort Hood soldier -- killed himself when he was confronted by investigators, according to CID.

In the wake of her death, the Army announced an independent review board made up of five civilians who would review the "command climate and culture" at Fort Hood.
Some soldiers have died under mysterious circumstances, including Pvt. 2nd Class Gregory Scott Morales, whose skeletal remains were found in a Killeen field in mid-June -- 10 months after he'd vanished. Fort Hood said in a statement at the time that foul play is suspected in his death.

Good!! Families are often advised to not talk for the sake of an investigation but in my experience, all it does is assist the PERP and give the defendant more rights while the victims are stifled.

It has gone too far, the rights of defendants well and over and above that of the victims.

Well the term killing fields has already been used but I think this entire area needs a name and more attention than it is already getting and even that attention wanes and ONE family had to fight to bring attention to it, long and hard.... Nine times out of ten they are always young or in a certain age range-under 30, quite often Hispanic and there are MANY as has been pointed out by some podcasters... And there are far, far too many crimes and incidents and missing people or dead people unexplained for one area...

Dropped off at home by someone from the base in this case? Is that correct? His staff sergeant dropped him off at home...?

And he's not been heard of or seen since. If I remember correctly he was supposed to call his aunt on monday, but nothing. All those cases stink to high heaven.
