Supposedly NY Institute of Technology is where he went to college.

Also not on this video but have heard in others out there days ago, he apparently sued more then a couple of times over car accidents.

He bought the SC property in 2021 not that long ago.... Neither he nor his wife were paying their taxes. Etc., etc.

Highly recommend if you have no time to keep up which is certainly me and I can't even watch full ones of hers each day. But a LOT of info in one sitting and she brings it all together and in, all articles, info, etc.

She thinks too it odd allegedly (heard this before not sure of source) he planned to retire to SC with his brother(??) but what about his wife and children? I personally wonder if this marriage was a "real" one especially at this point in their lives. Probably more each doing their own "things" imo other than being together or presenting a family for the adult kids and other reasons. They owe allegedly like 1/2 MILLION in unpaid taxes.

I have wondered about the brother and him almost since hearing about the brother...

They should seize the property for the unpaid taxes. Is the brother married?

It just occurred to me that the info about the Avalanche tip getting buried is not unlike the interview with the Delphi suspect getting "mislaid". Very strange.

No kidding. All properties.

It is very like Delphi in that regard. The buried tip. And an arrest coming out of the blue.

They can lie. Is this what's been said to the public while what has been said to the court is different? I don't know. It's definitely going to be questioned I imagine by defense attorneys in both cases.

And then there is was it buried or was someone connected to a defendant or some such burying it... Or misplacing it... Doing a favor. IF that is even what happened.

Excavator seen digging in backyard of man charged in Gilgo Beach killings

Investigators have been digging in the yard at the Long Island home of Rex Heuermann, who was charged earlier this month with killing at least three women and burying their remains on a remote stretch of beach highway.

A yellow excavator that had been seen scooping dirt in the backyard Sunday was still at the house Monday. In Associated Press drone footage, a man could also be seen operating a piece of equipment that can be used to scan for buried objects.

Over the weekend, police dismantled a wooden deck at the house.

The porch has been replaced by a white tent, with a state medical examiner’s truck parked nearby.

Investigators with shovels could be seen scraping through the freshly upturned earth.

Investigators are trying to determine whether any of the killings happened inside the Massapequa Park home that Heuermann shared with his wife and two children.

I am two behind on Grizzly's who arguably gives the best coverage to catch up on all so am watching the older one a day or two old and in just minutes there is a lot we should post here of articles and info she is covering if these articles and info are out there.. Like one was apparently or allegedly killed in the home, that a medical examiner which isn't typical was present at one of the storage units, etc. A statement put out by the family and so on. This I've heard in the first minutes of one of hers already.

And where did he go to college? I found myself wondering that the other day and something else that she mentioned. Talking of a SC girl who disappeared they are checking to see if he could possibly be involved, etc.

I'm sure some is speculation, etc., she is going through news and coverage but the statement put out by family is fact, etc.

She has had another one since this one as well. On this case. She has also put out more on Stauch and others in the last days. I sure don't have time to check them all out as well lol.

I think I read he went to college in New York or New Jersey. Can't remember now.
Ah I see you posted - it was NY Inst of Technology.

A vault with concrete walls and a steel door built in the basement.

SIL speaks up. Wife's sister. Not trying to be mean but her choice of words, ego, vacillate, etc. are strange, not normal speak to me. And they mention she's a doctor I think.

This is TWO minutes long but they also touch on the truck info/clue that got buried and show a pic of the guy who told them (arguably Costello's "bf" I assume).

Worth the two minutes just for the varying short bits of a few different things.

I'm not through this yet by a long shot. I've watched him a few times but not a ton of times. He is a lawyer and isn't sensational in his coverage. Been fine with what I've seen from him.

Just a bit into it and he says they are saying the seaches have been worth it and new evidence pouring in...

Lots out there I sure can't keep up with. What Grizzly had too a lot was new to me as to articles, people speaking, etc. and I haven't even finished hers yet and she had a new one after that already then.

It's big I guess of course and search warrants being executed and now that a name people that knew him and so on or neighbors and so on.

Anyhow probably worth a watch. New to me info within minutes although maybe it has been covered in things linked, I don't get to check them all out, I just come home and try to find something that is trying to do a summary or cover most of the daily or even by the hour news and pull it all together into one.

And even the good ones are finding as they do, more comes out.

This is recent. As to when posted anyhow. As I said, just some minutes in.

I wonder if any of the neighbors have reported to the police some odd things going on in the yard.

Re leads from Amber's case (physical description of potential perp and his vehicle), I'm anxious to know just how far those were investigated and why they dead-ended.
As for the hairs, to my knowledge, I think it's that their state lab simply didn't have the capability to process them so that until they sent them out, that was gonna be a dead-end.
The only prior info made public that I'm aware of regarding phones was that the perp used the victim's cell phones when he called the sister (I'd forgot info that he'd also called the friend of another victim, Maureen) and that those were traced to mid-town Manhattan and it seems there was at some point- several months after one of those calls, there was a ping from a victim's phone in Massapequa.
I'm just looking forward to learning more about why it seems that the perp/vehicle description and that ping wasn't correlated.
As for his use of burner phones, I don't recall info- or even the idea- that he used those (maybe there was and I just forgot) but I'm curious as to why the locations of those calls apparently couldn't be traced at the time.

This article is pretty good and goes into detail about the Chevy Avalanche tip, completely describing what went down in Amber's case.

Regarding tracing the burner phones, he made one important error, as he was in possession of burner phones as well as his regular phone. So his regular phone, which was traceable, was pinging off the same cell phone towers as the burner phones. Therefore they only had to identify the owner of the regular phone to then have the identity of the burner phone owner too.

An intense police search of the Long Island home of Rex Heuermann is now complete, authorities said Tuesday as they ended a 12-day hunt for evidence that involved ripping up the yard and the discovery of basement vault containing hundreds of weapons kept by the man accused of killing at least three women more than a decade ago.

At a press conference outside the Massapequa Park home where Heuermann lived with his wife and two kids, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said police had found a “tremendous amount of information” during their search.

He declined to describe the bulk of the material, but said there was not a “singular piece of evidence” that jumped out to him.

The search turned up at least 279 weapons kept inside a thick basement vault large enough for a person to walk into, Tierney said. Police took boxes of additional evidence from the house, which he described as a “very cluttered environment.”

An effort in recent days to dig up the backyard in search of possible clues about where the murders were committed did not yield any “large items of evidence,” he added.
