Got my Masters degree from here. :(

Killer who stabbed 4 Idaho students to death still at large

The killer — or killers — who stabbed four University of Idaho students to death remained at large Tuesday, prompting many students to leave the campus in the idyllic small town despite police assurances that there was no imminent risk to the community.

So many students had left the scenic tree-lined campus in Moscow, Idaho, by Tuesday that university officials said a candlelight vigil scheduled for the next day would instead be held after the Thanksgiving break.

The students, all close friends, were found dead in an off-campus rental home around noon on Sunday, and officials said they likely were killed several hours earlier. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt told the Spokane, Washington-based television station KXLY that her preliminary investigation showed the students were stabbed to death. There is no indication that substance use was involved in the deaths, Mabbutt said.

On a slightly lighter note, Jack, Kaylee's exBF, has created an Instagram page for Murphy the dog and is posting pictures of Murphy! Murphy already has 17,000 followers in just a day or so. Murphy_Goncalves.
It’s a doggie kinda day. I bathed my beast today. I need dog breaks today. My heart is hurting.

I'm really liking this vlogger - Johnny Law. He's the retired crime scene investigator that I've mentioned before somewhere on the forum. This video is analyzing BH's apartment search warrant from a detective's view. (BTW, I've seen two other retired detectives praise Johnny's knowledge, too.)

And yet, the rumors continue on the internet! Due to all the false rumors I've seen in the past, I don't believe any of the new ones. :sigh:
There have been SO MANY! Even in articles. Even in MSM articles!
Someone did this, someone said that, someone used to know the suspect and he used to do this other thing...
Nobody's been sharing them here, and I'm glad, because at this point it's really impossible to know what's true and who's just saying things for their moment of fame.

I wouldn't want to share them because I feel like I'll look stupid later on when they're proven to be completely made up!

Well, that does look like an actual official release, not like some stupid letter from the President of Australia or something.

Idaho murders victim Kaylee Goncalves had reported possible missing woman sighting to police

Slain Idaho student Kaylee Goncalves kept up on true crime and missing persons cases on social media

Slain University of Idaho student Kaylee Goncalves, whose family says closely followed true crime news online, had reported a possible missing person sighting to Moscow police a year before she and three friends were killed in a shocking home invasion knife attack.

Sharon Archer, a 62-year-old from Goncalves’ hometown of Coeur d'Alene, went missing around Sept. 27, 2021, according to Idaho State Police.

Goncalves, 21, called police on Oct. 5, 2021 after she said she saw a woman resembling Archer at the Walmart in Moscow. "Kaylee told me the female’s name is possibly Sharon Archer," Sgt. Dustin Blaker, who would eventually become a lead investigator on the student stabbings, wrote in his report on Oct. 6, 2021.

According to the incident report, Goncalves recognized the woman’s face on a missing person flyer and called police. She sent the flyer to Blaker, and police went to the Walmart to try and track down Archer or her Toyota SUV.

Reddit is one of the worst for that. I occasionally pop over there to see what people are posting. A lot of it is " make crap up and see if it sticks".
