Got my Masters degree from here. :(

Killer who stabbed 4 Idaho students to death still at large

The killer — or killers — who stabbed four University of Idaho students to death remained at large Tuesday, prompting many students to leave the campus in the idyllic small town despite police assurances that there was no imminent risk to the community.

So many students had left the scenic tree-lined campus in Moscow, Idaho, by Tuesday that university officials said a candlelight vigil scheduled for the next day would instead be held after the Thanksgiving break.

The students, all close friends, were found dead in an off-campus rental home around noon on Sunday, and officials said they likely were killed several hours earlier. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt told the Spokane, Washington-based television station KXLY that her preliminary investigation showed the students were stabbed to death. There is no indication that substance use was involved in the deaths, Mabbutt said.

He did the stand silent thing? For attention, no doubt.
I watched part of this at break, hadn't gotten to where the plea was but he answered loud and clear more than once to earlier questions so maybe just not the plea. Entin apparently jumped in in the middle or something as none of these tweets cover the first parts of the hearing.

Did you check his feed? I was hitting the highlights while at Urgent Care lol.
No, I only had a few minutes at break so read the posts here and then watched a few minutes of the hearing. He may well have covered it but not all of it was on here. Doesn't matter, I was just saying the creep wasn't silent throughout, he answered when asked other things so guess he was making a point with the standing mute on pleading. is all. Just clarifying he was not silent throughout in case anyone thought he was.

This is worth a watch, dialing into some of the more recent stuff like the Dateline thing and BK's sister saying she said as much about his proximity, his car, etc. to family but parents were in denial/did not think so and some more in it as well. Short but gets some key points and also shows his arguing with a female officer or "asking" about the law on a traffic stop, etc. Worth the watch plus I want to add to the thread on the case that his sister on seeing him wear gloves and more, the car, etc. it seems suspected him. Parents, it seems, were denying it. I wonder where they stand now...

I watched Nate’s wrapup on the case last night. He had a guest from court TV, I think it was?
I saw it too. The one where she claimed she made eye contact with Kohberger for a split second? That's now a bit of a sensational headline?

It may be true and may not be but I'll say this, how could anyone prove otherwise...

They also covered that Kaylee's mom put an arm around Maddie's mom's shoulder.

Nate hasn't been sure he is going to cover it or go to Kohberger but he has the connections to at least have them on his show, the ones that do attend.

It was good, I just go a bit whatever about how hard it is for the victim's families that it is such a "show". Not on Nate. Talking generally.

Sounds like this simple hearing was very well attended by media versus the sentencing of the Wests.

Attorney files tort claim notices on behalf of Goncalves, Mogen families in Idaho murders case

According to the attorney representing the family of Kaylee Goncalves, tort claim notices have been filed, reserving the Goncalves and Mogen families' right to sue the city of Moscow.

The Goncalves family attorney, Shanon Gray, confirmed he filed Tort Claims Notices against the City of Moscow, The University of Idaho, Washington State University and the Idaho State Police on behalf of both the Goncalves and Mogen families. The notices do not specify what kind of claim the families may make, nor do they list a specific dollar amount in damages.

These notices are not lawsuits, but instead serve as a legal step taken to protect the right to sue within two years.

Gray told reporters this notice is "a safeguard to protect the interests of the families, the victims, and really the whole community around, because if something goes wrong, or was done improperly, then someone is held accountable for that."

They’re making a statement that there better not be any mistakes.
