Got my Masters degree from here. :(

Killer who stabbed 4 Idaho students to death still at large

The killer — or killers — who stabbed four University of Idaho students to death remained at large Tuesday, prompting many students to leave the campus in the idyllic small town despite police assurances that there was no imminent risk to the community.

So many students had left the scenic tree-lined campus in Moscow, Idaho, by Tuesday that university officials said a candlelight vigil scheduled for the next day would instead be held after the Thanksgiving break.

The students, all close friends, were found dead in an off-campus rental home around noon on Sunday, and officials said they likely were killed several hours earlier. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt told the Spokane, Washington-based television station KXLY that her preliminary investigation showed the students were stabbed to death. There is no indication that substance use was involved in the deaths, Mabbutt said.

There's a LOT of chatter out there about this case. Conflicting "facts", more than one "Jack", questions, answers, suppositions. I'm not surprised. People are scared and rightfully so.
Jack, Jack and Jake from what I understand.

The one called was her ex bf.

Jake is Maddie's bf. Jack is/was Kaylee's and they were broken up. The other Jack if I have it right is the hoodie food truck guy.

Jake also attends the U of I but was not thought to be in the home that night.

Trust Daily Mail to have photos of empty beer cans and such, they generally do in cases that have them.

Ethan lived in his fraternity house which I did not know previously and it was about 300 feet or 100 yards from the home the rest shared.

It also says the food truck video we have seen was a livestream on Twitch. I did not know that previously, I figured it was a security/surveillance video from a camera on site. What is Twitch? Is it like Snapchat? So people elsewhere could see live that the girls were there? Like in the Abby and Libby case?

And does that mean someone was filming with their phone there? I wonder who and if it was just typical or not...

Anyhow, here is this one. Maybe it has been posted before, I don't know/hadn't see it yet.

I did hear that Ethan lived in a frat house right by the girls, but I didn't know about the Twitch livestream. I've heard of Twitch, but that's about it. Interesting.

Twitch is mostly used for people to watch other people gaming. I've never heard of it being used for anything else, but I am sure it easily could be.

Yeah I think the other day I did hear something about Twitch or Twitched but I thought someone was maybe just talking slang about Twitter lol. I can't keep up with what app is currently hot, etc.

So everyone has wondered about the hoodie guy but has anyone wondered about who was filming and sharing and why?

Maybe it is the food truck owners and maybe just their way of getting other kids to come down showing lives of who is there and where the action is. Or maybe it was an individual. I'd sure like to know...

Investigators believe the weapon used in the brutal slaying was a combat knife and it could’ve been sourced for the University of Idaho ROTC program, said a law enforcement source. #UniversityofIdaho -Radar Online

I've been reading about the knife. Not sure if someone posted about it here earlier. They are saying they think it was a "Ka-Bar" knife.

The ROTC uses knives like that? Wow.

On the NIGHT of the incident they located a dog at the residence?? That NIGHT? Kaylee and her ex-boyfriend shared a dog and her parents mentioned she called him about the dog/that they share it, etc. UNSURE if they meant in the phone calls that particular early morn or just that she called him generally at times about the dog, etc.

Why would it take until night to realize there was a dog at the residence and why wouldn't the roommates have been taking care of it/have had it? Was the dog hiding? Was it shut away maybe by the perp? Why didn't a dog bark if there was a dog present? And the dog was apparently unharmed... I am going to guess this was Kaylee's dog. And that of her ex...

I find it veryyyy interesting they are telling us this and even brought it up...

Is it possible since it was still fairly fresh and dripping and cold out that it stayed red for awhile...? I gather blood from different areas can be different hues too. Arterial blood versus other blood, etc.
Maybe? But that picture if taken that day was taken around 1 PM at the earliest? They weren't discovered until noon and everything I've seen has their deaths around 3-5 a.m.

Is there the possibility at all one was clinging to life. The friends did think one was unconscious for some reason... It seems if they located one victim it would be the middle floor victim which is where the blood appears to come from, dripping down onto the lower level outside... If blood is still oxygenated, it stays red if I understand it correctly... This would also fit with the girl, Xana, whose dad said she fought back. Xana and Ethan lived on the middle floor from what I understand... Maybe someone did take a pulse or check for a faint heartbeat, etc... Or whoever they called first to come did so...

The thing I keep noting in this case is all out there and myself too are coming to conclusions when there could be a lot of things that are vastly different than we are thinking... When there are things not said, we tend to think they don't exist or didn't happen... For instance, like were other people there after anyone got home from partying or did anyone bring anyone home? I don't necessarily think that, just pointing out just because it wasn't said, everyone assumes only the six roommates were in the home. LE has NEVER said any such thing.
