Got my Masters degree from here. :(

Killer who stabbed 4 Idaho students to death still at large

The killer — or killers — who stabbed four University of Idaho students to death remained at large Tuesday, prompting many students to leave the campus in the idyllic small town despite police assurances that there was no imminent risk to the community.

So many students had left the scenic tree-lined campus in Moscow, Idaho, by Tuesday that university officials said a candlelight vigil scheduled for the next day would instead be held after the Thanksgiving break.

The students, all close friends, were found dead in an off-campus rental home around noon on Sunday, and officials said they likely were killed several hours earlier. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt told the Spokane, Washington-based television station KXLY that her preliminary investigation showed the students were stabbed to death. There is no indication that substance use was involved in the deaths, Mabbutt said.

Take it for what it's worth. Some will take it one way, some another probably. Don't know where the heck news was or is on these incidents like a year before. They looked at him THEN though, and WHY....

They are twisting it in his favor, but I see it the opposite...

Keep in mind, it's Court TV...

I actually did, I made it through most of the show. Thanks for linking it. I really like him but his shows mostly have several cases in them, hard to put them in every thread.

It had things about the law and K (this case) probably the longest on there, things I sure did not know, so did think it a good thing to link about federal law, etc about our laws, etc. So did the UCH have quite a bit, as well as BK.

He's definitely a D attorney but he's so balanced imo.

No one and I could sure use it could even pay me enough money to watch someone like Motta. SO turned off by his sh*t, and did not take long. Jmo.

I've watched Scott for years, once in awhile the algorithm I guess it is quits throwing his shows up to me.

Imo his show is the best place to watch trials. The mods are very good and it's just a sane group.. One watches such on L & C or some others and it's nuts with trolls, same with Court TV, etc. It's a good group overall.

I am not a huge L & C fan nor a N N fan, etc. I will though link things for others.I could name some others not a big fan of.

So linking.

Finally finished the L & C one. Anyone interested in like Epstein or Weinstein or Diddy may want to see the end of this one. She said combine like ALL of them, far worse or something like that.

It's a few posts above.

Court to decide on defense motion for complete expert disclosures in Kohberger case

In another development in the case against Bryan Kohberger, the man accused of killing four University of Idaho students in an off-campus home, the defense has filed a motion asking the court to compel the prosecution to provide complete expert disclosures.

In the court documents, the defense says the bulk of the State’s expert disclosures failed to include both opinions and reports. The defense says that only being given incomplete disclosures will “greatly prejudice Mr. Kohberger who is obligated to submit defense guilt phase expert disclosures by January 23, 2025.”

In the documents, the defense says on December 18 the prosecution only disclosed 25 experts, and of those, only five had actual expert reports. The defense said that there are over 68 terabytes of discovery in the case and they added that it is all “extremely disorganized.”

The defense is seeking a court order that requires the prosecution to provide all detailed expert reports. They are also asking for possible sanctions which include excluding non-compliant expert testimony or extending the defense’s deadline for disclosures.

The court is expected to review the motion and decide whether to grant the defense’s request.

That's actually not an unreasonable request.

Kohberger hearings scheduled for this week...

Two hearings in the Bryan Kohberger case will be held this coming week at the Ada County Courthouse in Boise, the Lewiston Tribune staff writes.

A closed hearing will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The defense will discuss Kohberger’s motion to suppress evidence stemming from law enforcement’s use of DNA.

His attorneys are arguing to unseal materials related to this evidence because the public has a right to know how genetic information was used in this case.

Judge Steven Hippler will hear arguments about this and other motions related to evidence in this case during a Jan. 23 hearing.

The Jan. 23 hearing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and possibly continue to Jan. 24. Hippler will decide how much of that hearing will be public.

Thank you for posting this! I guess the hearing will be tomorrow and I really do hope it’s made public.

I don't know. What I do know is this defense always does a dance with words. Not assuming anything therefore.

I do wonder why their own experts need the reports of the P experts. Shouldn't they have their own opinions regardless? If they are true experts?

I'm not saying they don't have a right to the reports and information but am saying it is all pretty unclear and nothing they've filed yet can be taken at face value.

I don't like siding with the defense but I disagree in general with sealing all the stuff all courts seem to be sealing these days so won't argue that part.

I ran into the live hearing today. Both Scott and Nate were airing it. I watched for a bit and was bored stiff and figure I'll wait until one of the two explain later what went on and what matters if anything rather than watch the dull thing.

What I saw was defense attorney asking a member of LE I believe if he was an expert or had training in Google warrants. Then it was Amazon warrants. Of course he said no specialized training, they are just warrants, etc. DUMB. Imo. Not sure of her point but I don't care. STUPID.

This is the video from what happened yesterday. Most lf it was closed but a small bit was available where the D is arguing to sling out the DNA tracing.

The D argues it with the Judge and the P also gives their statement. Nate explains and discusses it.

Is it worth it? Pretty long I see, close to an hour.

What are they basing their argument on? Since when is such DNA tracing/testing a problem? I'm sick of these defense attys, wasn't impressed from the start either and the Ann one is supposed to be so "good" and I sure haven't seen it.
