JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

1580704661510.png

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

Okay, just 30 minutes and I'd recommend watching. It is interesting.

Confirmed Lori wanted to be someone special and important. I've always thought that.

Also a few interesting things about a family story or two. Lori lies and then lies to cover up lies. Interesting story of Lori's grandma, Rex's and her father's mother I believe, knowing the date of her death from a "vision" or "visit" and how Lori grew up hearing such and then announced a similar thing... She turned out wrong on her date of death and then kept changing it or making excuses... Grandma was right on her own date but off by a year if I have it right...

Anyhow, it was interesting...

Their podcast list though looks to cover topics I think we all wonder about. They are doing ten. The tenth they don't intend to do or put out until after she is sentenced. The first six planned, in order, are:

Lori's Change

Great Mom to Serial Killer

Comedian to Assassin - Alex Follows Lori Down the Rabbit Hole

Who Are JJ and Tylee

The Victim List Continues

A Tale of Two Cousins

What is the cousin one...?
Maybe it’s the relationship between Lori and Rex’s daughter?

Thank you for the recap! I definitely want to watch.

It was more interesting that I expected. I didn't think much new would be told and I didn't think they could really offer much and as they say more than once they sure aren't doctors or psych experts but it held my interest. I felt it worth the 30 minutes and I think most know I have little time and need every minute i have for other things.

Much rang bells but honestly things from Adam, her family, etc. have only been out there once or twice at most and through just certain channels, etc. and there was some new in here I think. This uncle I never remember seeing etc. until trial much at all. Adam and his son spoke up in these years once maybe twice. Etc.

The part about grandma knowing the date of her death I just am not sure if I ever heard. It didn't surprise me so I almost think I did but if so, it sure wasn't from uncle or I never heard it...

It was a good podcast. Another interesting part was Adam talked of balance. You know you give this much of your time to this and this much to that and he thinks the time he spends in church related things is enough but she became all about that and the spiritual and more.

I don't want to go into all because it is worth the watch but he compared it to if you sit all day and play video games you are doing that too much and your life is out of balance. If you all of a sudden are spending 8 hours of your every day going to temple and then these groups (I forget) and more, your life is out of whack elsewhere.

And the part about her needing to be special, powerful, etc. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that resonated. I have always thought that.

I still am not saying I am on board or anything and we know some of the family dynamics but they did a good job. Part of me knows so many in that world do though, they podcast, write books, etc.

Another interesting part I feel was that yes Lori's parents are in contact with her but they talk of other things and that's what the uncle said too if he did talk to Lori it would be how it would have to be. About this or that or the weather type of thing...

If I am recalling correctly. Our day at work was very, very busy. I thought we'd maybe be somewhat dead on the way the 4th fell this year... I am wornnnn out and it is only day two.

You know, I will admit I didn't think the brother and uncle would have a lot that was new, or to add and wasn't sure how I felt about them doing this BUT even though one may think they already heard them and I watched and shared their first podcast and thought this would be no better than a repeat of stuff even in the recent podcast, it wasn't. They asked the two guys questions and interesting for one is about Joe Ryan's death.

Of interest also was Lori's first marriage which we have heard about, in high school I believe, and her parents not okay with it. Well he was a drug dealer per Adam and she got on drugs too.

Then there was another guy after him and she moved him into Adam's apartment after she moved in and them met the other guy, etc.

It is WELL worth a watch and listen. Imo. I have little time and wouldn't say so if I didn't think so. Not earth shattering but held my interest big time.

Just getting to the end and this is very interesting still. Talking of Lori's dad and more. His railing at the IRS, his funeral speaking, Lori and her dad etc.

Interesting right up to the end. They ask them about Lori and Alex's sexual behavior. They ask about Alex's death and Adam doesn't believe it was from natural causes and they are going to do an entire show on Alex (I am GUESSING he thinks it suicide but by belief or suggestion, he did not say that it is my guess maybe...?). They ask about the cousin that spoke out against much of the family, etc.

I don't know if everyone remembers this or not, but I do but it doesn't come to mind until mentioned, but they asked the two of them to talk of Tylee since she isn't as represented as JJ who has Larry and Kay being very vocal. They include Tylee but of course JJ is the one they knew/their grandson. Anyhow, Adam talks of the last time he saw her at his folks' home and he was kicked out and he just had the feeling she wanted to talk to him or tell him something.

I recall hearing this long ago and I believe his getting kicked out was over his opinion of Charles, Lori, etc.

Anyhow a good watch right to the end and I suspect they will cover some of these things in their podcasts.

A good watch all the way around.

I don’t remember the kicked out part, but I do remember Tylee’s older brother saying that he felt like she wanted to tell him something, too. 😢

I remember that part but I'm a bit fuzzy on it. It was I believe due to his siding with Charles or having anything to do with him when the demand was not to.

I think Tylee knew of far more going on than anyone, all sides of it, more than her grandma and Summer as she lived it and was with mom, etc. I think she saw him being come down on for not toeing the line Lori and then her family demanded and wanted to share that she was in a spot too for lack of a better way to put it and that he wasn't wrong and what could they do and probably look for help...

It wasn't fresh in my mind but the minute he said it, it was. I'll never forget it because I think that was one point or chance she may have reached out if she could have. I imagine it haunts him.

I think the other right line Adam is taking is he is LDS and he goes to church and he doesn't shy away from saying that but he says right out that the hour or two required or whatever it is is enough for him and there needs to be balance in life and Lori was overboard with it. Rex doesn't say as much that way about church and even with Adam I don't doubt the church would not be loving that way of putting it but I feel he connects better for doing so as I think most people are that way. They do their part, they believe, they attend but there is a point it can be overboard as can be what is expected of one or of a family. You have to have time for family, privacy, a job and handle all other things in life too.

Oh I almost forgot! Rex said the teachings and things Chad embraced were nothing new and he was not even original that these things seemed to come up in each generation who found them as if they'd discovered them. The dark and light, etc. thing. They weren't Chad's creation.

I think both Chad and Lori wanted to be special even before meeting. He was the underachieving brother in his family. She was one I think always treated special and thought she'd be special in the world and was not, etc. or to her "god" and so forth. I think though the church and the way of being raised added to all that both with Chad not being a big achiever but making up visions, copying other people, etc. and Lori too. I think emphasis is put on certain things in this religion. I'm sorry but I do. I see similar things every time there is a case where this religion was the religion of the parties. Visions. Prepping. Material assets. Being someone and being perfect or chosen. Jmo.

Thank you for the link! I’ll try to catch it tonight.

About 30 minutes I think. They are keeping them fairly short. I did watch, not a lot new imo although Adam did cover Lori's first husband a bit and then her second who was Colby's dad who she said beat her. First one was a drug dealer and got her on drugs per the last video. They weren't together long I gather.

Episode 3. I haven't watched it yet.

They also put out a short one responding to accusations of doing this all for money, etc. I can't say the same thought doesn't cross my mind or hasn't. A nonprofit is mentioned in that short one and one the name was changed on and for me, that really didn't do much to erase such thoughts but just added more such thoughts. If I come across that one again, I'll linkit. Also Annie Cushing wants nothing to do with them apparently.

I don't know. Just sharing the most recent episode.

So Adam found out Alex was dead by a call from Brandon who told him the FBI informed him. I think I am way past overloaded with cases and this case alone and all its details. I believe he died around the time Tammy's body was about to exhumed wasn't it? I guess just kind of thrown that the FBI called Brandon about Alex's death, etc.

Also it is Adam's belief that Alex was taken out, murdered, likely by some poison. I more or less think the same and always have as do many.

No real shocking revelations but what one would figure with regard to Alex. He had over 400 jobs in his lifetime and lacked ambition and some other tidbits. Wanted to be important to someone, etc. Never was a father or married other than that one brief one. Rex points out he nor Lori or Chad represent the religion, etc. I believe this is part of what he wants to convey or at least that's a feeling I have and I have some thoughts on that but I will keep them to myself.

They didn't touch on Alex's out of country trips, his thing with a teenager, his trips to Mexico and his sexual appetite which I think is definitely significant. Did mention his being excommunicated from the church. Also said Alex wanted to be "good". Well he failed at that.

I’m so behind! It’s supposed to be really hot here tomorrow, so maybe I’ll catch up tomorrow afternoon.

400 jobs! Quit and found another job, or fired and found another job, or some of both?

Started one, didn't like, walked out, etc. is the bit of explanation given. I can't figure out how Alex knew he'd had 400, did he keep count to that number? Odd.

Adam said he was VERY talented. Comedy and he also could watch a movie and then do every line of it in the right voice, manner, pauses etc. of every actor, etc. in it.

He thinks he was murdered.
