Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events
  • April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
  • December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
  • February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
  • February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
  • June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
  • July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
  • August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
  • September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
  • September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
  • September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
  • September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
  • October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
  • October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
  • October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
  • October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
  • Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
  • November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
  • November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
  • December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
  • December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
  • December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
  • January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
  • January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

He was clearly concerned, finding out things, bent on taking care of things and upset.

Some part must be missing because the first guy at the company towards the end talks about his wife or ex wife doing this and what Charles could do about it yet I never heard Charles saying that to tell him such sooo clearly there is more I think than what is heard. Maybe his contacting the company prior by email or some such or by phone...

He wants Kay on the policy and wants a beneficiary form and is adamant about it.
 
Per Nate Eaton, Lori turned 50 today. I wonder if Chad knew her real age lol. For some reason she doesn't seem the type that would handle that/like that well. So she is a Cancer huh? The Crab. How fitting.

No offense to anyone else who is, I have a sister that is and she mostly exhibits their best traits although she CAN be crabby but it is rare. She was crabby a lot when we were all younger. But she is a good Crab.

Lori embraces the worst parts imo.

I of course thought of you and figured you were (just having had your birthday) and even though it was difficult in your case to say it, I said no offense to those that are. I am sorry you share this ONE similarity with Lori Vallow. And that probably neither of you got cakes for your birthdays lol. Sorry, couldn't resist that one....

One has to admit she received the crabby part in SPADES. Anyone crossed her or got in her way or didn't do as she liked, she plotted their deaths and in some cases carried them out (I believe others were in line and more to come). Money was part of it but I think revenge was a big part too in some instances. Like with Joe, whether she killed him or not, she did about all she could to destroy him.

I made you say HMPF. I love it. That's one I use more than you. :D
 
On the other hand, just after I posted that, pictures of steamrollers, fighter jets, chairs, guillotines and other things came to mind and I realized you also plot the deaths or carry them out or try to of anyone who crosses you, says something you don't like, etc... There is evidence of it throughout pages upon pages in the basement....

I watched this last night and it was interesting to see what Adam had to say. Especially about the morning that Charles was murdered.

I watched it too the other day although I'd heard most of it before, from Adam anyhow. The uncle less so had he been heard from trough these years until attending trial, etc. at least that I'd ever seen and even Adam didn't for a long time.

I'm not really against them doing this or for it. Don't really have any strong feelings about it. Both have written books before. Chad did too as we know. Seems to be a thing for many of this faith along with podcasts, etc.

Not slamming them, I am just saying not so much about this venture but prior, both have written books before.

There's a lot of stuff in this family. I do think this is the uncle who the one daughter is estranged from and keeps herself estranged from all of them and her sisters too isn't it? She has had a lot to say about her dad and the Coxes.

I like Adam. The uncle I don't have an opinion on yet because of hearing two different sides. Both do think she should be where she is but both also put it down to Chad and her mental problems and her beliefs, etc. and that she isn't the Lori they knew and so on. Adam said he figured the kids were dead immediately when he heard they were missing, both due to what had just happened to Charles and because if they were alive Lori would produce them. I'm not so sure about that, nothing I've ever seen has Lori being upfront and honest with LE. She tried to keep Tylee from Joe and if ordered to let him see her, what happened? He was tazed by Alex when they knew where he'd be for a supervised visitation.

Anyhow, I am wandering so I will stop.

I'll wait to see and really again have no opinion but I don't think there will be much in it that is new and I doubt it will expose the family or much about Lori that we don't know. Maybe their perspectives of what they went through and others did in these last years since the kids disappeared but again much of that has already been told.

Good for them I guess. And centering on Chad with anything well, his trial is upcoming and we want a conviction but I'd hope it isn't said that this caused negative publicity for him before trial.

Lol, that's the world we live in. Tell the truth or your side of things even though you are not a party to the case and defense will use it to say all this bad publicity is out there and public opinion.

Just random thoughts. Again, I don't have a bad opinion or a good one of this. Just kind of middle of the road on it.
 
First podcast of Adam Cox and Uncle Rex. Just into the first few minutes myself.

Adam says Lori was looking for something more spiritual and to getting into more such things when she met Chad and Chad then was like adding gasoline to a fire that was already lit... I feel this was a good way of explaining it...

I had a brother I was very close to. I just want to say that even so, it doesn't mean he could have portrayed my feelings and all I thought perfectly or understand them, nor me of him. You can be very close but you still are not in their shoes nor have lived their life nor even their recent daily life. So my side point here is I will wait to see with an opinion on it all. I think they will do their best and do as anyone can do in any case and give us more of a glimpse into her but it isn't like she wasn't lying to her mother, Summer, had even less to do with Adam, etc. They can probably provide what they do know from all of them and from growing up with her etc. but some of it just is never going to be explained imo, they aren't in Lori's head. No one is. Thank goodness.

One of Rex's daughters perhaps and her time with LoEvri and Alex...? Although pretty sure the one that has talked of that is on the outs with them and wants nothing to do with any of them...

Or heck maybe it is one of the other ones and it is just about good childhood times with Lori or Alex or both...

They say they are taking input and and all and will shape other podcasts to address what people want or need, etc. (paraphrasing).

Personally, and I'm sorry for it, I'd like to know more about the dynamic in the family while growing up. The issues encountered. Did the children get along, was anyone favored? What were the problems in the family and what dysfuction did he feel existed? How big was church in the family? What about the things said about the dad? What about the odd sexual behavior of Alex and Lori, etc.? I suspect these things will not be touched or touched much on. And I'm not proud of wanting to know them but I do. I'm also not saying it is their fault how Lori came to what she did but It think what she and Chad did is so offensive and so out there, the need to see what led to even her first marriage, marrying so many times, her emphasis on sex appeal and looks and all plays in. We know much of the story of how she went and maybe why from husband to husband but what started her to begin with even on the first marriage... What happened or was she like as a teen. Emphasis was placed on being above others we have heard and beauty, etc. Dad allegedl paid for a boob job for her...

The deal with Stacy. What was the impact of her trials and of Melanie, Melanie's dad, etc....
 
Okay he says the cousin tale is both cousins were going down the same path and one went to the right and one went to the left...

Well we can figure Lori went to the left...
 
Id heard this statement but not sure I knew she said it to Adam. That she was transitioning into being an immortal beind and didn't have to eat any more and if shot a bullet would go right through her and not harm her, etc.
