JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

New episode. I didn’t learn anything new, but it’s always interesting to listen to them.

I watched last night and agree, not a lot new but a few minor tidbits like Charles did yoga and was conservative and very opinionated. Easy enough to listen to as always but they aren't sharing anything new to speak of.

Sounds though like the Woodcocks have agreed to come on or do a show. Also making the offer to Tammy's family. And did they say Brandon was going to too? Can't recall on that one but think so.

So a few things.

What could she possibly say? She isn't going to throw Chad or Alex under the bus, we've already seen that. She isn't going to hurt Chad's chances (not that he has any imo). I guess she could claim she loved her children, say I didn't do this and sit down but that ain't going to have any impact and she wouldn't anyhow. I expect she'll stay silent as she pretty much has been.

If she does speak it will be some generalized bunch of b.s. Like I'm sorry my family is hurting, I'm grieving my children are gone, etc. but NOT that I am the cause or did it. I can't even see that happening.

But who knows? It is one of her last hurrahs, at least in this trial, maybe she'll go all out and put hexes on us all and tell us how the world will end and she will be in charge and we will all be sorry "tomorrow" when that happens.

Of course I work when this will be live streamed. That SUCKS since I have been all in since the beginning of this case.

I’ll be surprised if she says anything at all.

I honestly think the same.

I expect heartfelt victim impact statements, Lori staying silent and her attorney saying I don't know what since she has him in a stranglehold. And I expect the severest sentence possible and the judge had better not disappoint on that.

I do wonder if there will be any victim impact statements that are a surprise to us like Colby sending a letter or others. Probably not but could happen.

Make sure ya'll report here with things of note so I can check the site on break that day.

Tomorrow never comes, just like the 144,000.

It bites I won't be able to watch this live now that Boyce has allowed at least something live, when I've followed this throughout.

I know I can watch it later but it's like recording a football game and only seeing it later. Chances are you've heard who won by then, etc. It is NOT the same. And even if you don't you are fully aware it isn't in real time and that others know what happened, etc. It just isn't the same. I've not been able to watch live a single verdict in the recent ones we've had the last few months, etc. Total bummer :(

I won’t be able to watch it live, either. I really like Nate’s commentaries in the evening, though. Sometimes I can catch those live.

Don't have time to find it right now but earlier saw there is a video out I think it was Nate that there was a hearing on whether an aunt can give a victim impact statement in this case! If anyone gets a chance maybe link it or watch it? I'd like to know what aunt and why there is any issue now and who raised it. Thinking the defense of course, most likely anyhow.

Thank you for posting this, instead of searching with the few minutes I had on break, I was able to check here and see what it was about.

And i use those short breaks of course to handle my own life that I have no time for so to be able to just come here and get an update I can sometimes do.

Trust Lori and the defense to have an issue with victim statements right?

I know I've said it before but it wasn't an issue in our case, aunts, grandparents, great aunts even. And in most cases I've seen, many from following crime I can't remember any it was until this one.

Wonder if it is an Idaho thing...

I think it is. I recall a lot of looking at Idaho victim definitions.

Probably. I look at it this way, in this day and age, that is a very unrealistic view of who the important family members (victim's family) are or may be. With adopting, fostering, grandparents raising grandchildren (who may not have formally become the "parent") and more and families coming in all shapes.

It would have been unfair even back in the day imo. It considered an in-law but not a grandparent.

I'm not impressed with Idaho laws, nor judges to date. Not that I've followed a lot of Idaho cases but this one alone has given me quite an opinion lol.

I was trying to look at it from both sides of the legal angle and I have to agree with the judge, if it was a jury that was going to determine a persons fate because of a victim impact statement, then I’d be a little bit more worried about it. But, it’s the judge, so he’s already seen everything anyway. I think it’s more of an impact for the victims to be able to speak than it is for the judges determination.

Agree with the judge on what? Not sure what you mean. He found the way to allow it and did.

The law itself is out of touch. Imo.

Ya know, I just had a moment, a brief one, for it to hit me how ridiculous this is. That Lori and Archibald file a motion about Tammy's aunt giving a statement. I doubt she knows her well or can offer anything worse than what all the others can both Tammy's family or the Woodcocks, etc.

It's just stupid and nasty and posturing. I doubt it would do a think on appeal no matter the decision so the point is what?

I guess it is for Lori to rear her head and look as if she has say, clout, power to challenge or to cause more grief and a ripple, news, the court's time, etc.

Really, what is the point? I mean in real reasons? There aren't any imo. I think like Mark Means, Lori runs Archie to a point. Of course they should do, to a point, what their client wants, my God, I know what it is like to have an attorney you PAY who won't even know your case or represent you adequately and thankfully what it is to have one that will, to a point, listen, take your suggestions as you know your own facts, people involved, etc. and they don't but this on its face if you think about it was ridiculous. I guess Archie humored her.
