JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

• April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
• December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
• February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
• February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
• June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
• July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
• August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
• September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
• September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
• September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
• September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
• October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
• October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
• October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
• October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
• Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
• November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
• November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
• December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
• December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
• December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
• January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days

Confusing but not in some ways. So these attys. imo are trying to do Lori's bidding and what she wants but we have Lori at her full on games imo so far. Can't be ruled she is competent to represent self, she is not there, etc.

Having Lori not speak, yada yada yada is they wanted to withdraw the Rule 11 motion and so on.

State won;'t stipulate without Lori been seen by the one doctor.

The D asks that doctor just give a report/opinion based on a records review. This judge says the doctor indicated no, not ethical, she does not have enough infor to render an opinion without seeing Lori, etc.

Not through my second far closer watch yet and yet it's only minutes but doing a few other things in between.

BUt so far I'd say Lori has an attorney or two now doing her back and call and bidding...

I'm really glad Chad and her after years of that one are already a convicted because this one too is going to take some time at this rate.

That doctor is not okay with rendering an option without meeting with Lori. Good ethics imo.

Unfortunately judge says Lori's refusal to meet with mental health experts is causing delay.

That doctor hopes to meet with her next week so she can render a report.

Okay you do have them all, I just double checked.

The report due on the 2nd, they will have 3 days to redact things in it and enter it so the 5th, when there is also a hearing as our have here. That's IF Lori meets with the doctor this next week which has been what is causing the problems.

Yeah and this judge said the other judge (Berensky) could always cancel the one he set if he didn't think necessary, just set one to be safe, thought it a good idea. I don't know if he was filling in or what.

I don't think anything has been decided on whether her trial will be publicized and that's a long way into the future imo. This is about the Rule 11 hearing and competency exam.

As for the trial though I hope it's live like Chad's was when the time comes.

Maybe coverage has been decided for that but I don't think so.

I think it's attention too but I also think she's able to be back in some control, something I think she's always had a need for. She has judges, dancing, her own attorneys dancing and doctors dancing, dates are being put off because she refuses to cooperate, etc. Lori feels she is running the show, at least for the moment...

Also in the first trial, she got first got Means to dance to her tune, and then Archibald imo. Here it started out with her first attys going against her want of a speedy trial and filing for a mental thing and such was approved, for them, not for what she wanted. Now she has new attorneys doing as her ones in the other case did and trying to dance to her tune and see to it IF that's what she wants that she is allowed to represent herself and trying to get the mental exam and such halted, BUT the P argued they wanted it (was the first ones) and now it needs to proceed and judge agreed. So she's probably also not a happy camper may be the other side to it.

Her first two did opposite of what she wanted so of course she's going to insist they be gone.

I don’t even know where to start about this hearing. Lori is acting like a child, her female attorney acts like she’s unsure of herself (or maybe she’s nervous) and doesn’t have much experience, and I don’t know what else to say. Unreal. I can’t believe what I just saw.

Another thing is that I think Lori‘s attorney thought she was muting the mic when she was actually making it hot.

I am only ten minutes in and My God. I have a lot to say but now probably would not be the time. The new attys re what i've said the last few weeks imo. And they are doing what Lori wants versus the first ones. There' a lot to unpack here and I don't have it in me right now.. This atty is nervous and shaky voiced probably due to the public nature of the case, dealing with Lori and the overall attitude from the court and prosecution, etc. and she isn't probably one used to such and yet she's going to bat over what i've understood the issues to be going on the last weeks or monthis despite her nervousness, she stands up to it and says it.

I'm only ten minutes in. I did like five minutes and hour apart to be at ten minutes. It's the end of a very hard long week so I'll save all from commenting now before I finish it and have some time to think on.

I'm at the part the judge is questioning Lori.

So because I don't think I should try to say what my thoughts are this tired and ready to release my week as I often do, with some long post, I'll just say this shallow thing.

Did anyone notice the back of her hair and head? Totally different than what is always when we get pics her front view. Wow.

These new attys are trying to do as she wants, I said that before this. To represent herself and not be deemed incompetent. And her first ones ruined her speedy trial and competency thing. Then you heve the judges...

Lori now has the ones that will do her bidding and they ARE to represent their client... And she WANTS to represent self at which point they'd be blessedly off representing her too if that pans out.

I will leave it there.

The back of her head is a mess. Shallow remark I know. But then I'm talking about Lori the very evil dislikable, vain, money hungry, child killing, manipulative bitc*. Let her be deemed competent to represent self. It is something judges etc. don't like to deal with but seriously, let her, it will show exactly what she is, not insane, not incompeent but a totally manipulative psychopath.

I'd better stop til I am less tired and watch all but the two sets of attys so far it is clear what has went on. These are doing her bidding, the first ones were not. They were going entirely against what she wanted. And I can even say even though I don't think any of us can stand this woman, they are to listen and represent her. The first ones were not, these new ones are as far as going against or going for what the client wants...

I'lll stick to the petty stuff. That is clearly a fall or extension on the back of the head of a slightly different color. You can see the part. An d yet it was a poor one because it had short hair in the middle of it.

She's a very easy woman to hate, for all of us, and this is Ms. Botox, Ms. Flirty, Ms. hair always so young looking at what age, we've seen her with cops, and others. So I find it very fitting to see that this appearance she still tries to keep up, and is interesting, that it is SO important to her. And it may seem petty, but I think it is of import that this woman to this day is more concerned about her own appearance than her dead children, or living one, Colby. To THIS day.

I've listened to a few more minutes now but am not going to dissect moe the hearing because I know I am at that point of tired but just talking of some things that are notable that may seem more minor.

This has pics of her in hand cuffs, ankles shackled, the back of her head which I am not sure we have ever seen so pics and news and media have more access than like Boyce allowed apparently. They have closeups of her ankle bracelets and slipper or whatever you want to call them, not quite flip flops, can't think of the right term, and of her wrists, etc... And the back of her head...

I hate when they don't allow coverage or cameras or being transparent and I can't stand Lori Daybell but it does sure show some real differences in the courts and access and media coverage, cameras, etc.

We have just come off a few trials where witnesses were not shown on the stand, and the worst one with nothing, Delphi, where here is going to be absolutely no record other than a court reporter's transcript.

I have found little on lately and today and this morning I think I watched a few on YT with cases I had not looked at. The Laken Riley trial (sp?) and the ones on the stand are being shown. That's how it always was if aired or live or recorded but in recentt times some states nope. Colorado, Frazeee, victim Kelsey Berreh, co conspirator maybe even part instiigator Krystal Kenney.
