JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

Just musing. The stench of decomp does not go away easily. Anyone in that apartment, body or no, would need a strong stomach or a gas mask of some sort I would imagine.
That's a great point. I recall talk of flies and bugs and such too although I am unsure where I heard that, I believe it was a neighbor or something in the report (but can't swear)... The man had like three locks on his door and I imagine windows and things were likely shut up tight and they figure he had been dead at least a week is what they said. Lori being there that day, would that happen with such conditions? Would LE call or allow it...?

I've always been a little unsettled about this, too. But Colby has maintained this all along. He turned on Lori early on, but stood firm on this. Something there and I don't know what.
I struggle with it too. I would never question him or his memories--I did feel a bit of a quick pause when he first confirmed it but that could be just that he was uncomfortable with knowing the public would hear it and talk of it. What I come to with it I guess is that other than if they could prosecute Lori for Joe's death, it truly doesn't play into the charges that exist or others that may come, whether it happened or not. If Lori was charged with Joe's death, just perhaps a defense could be that she felt he was doing such a thing to her kids. So although it is awful and inexcusable if it happened to Colby, I don't see it as pertinent but it does show who Lori was if it was false. If Lori somehow planted these "memories" into her children is another possibility I guess... And it makes her an even more evil mother yet for playing such head games with them.

I found my next door neighbor deceased in February 2020. I found her in the evening, she had died that morning. Her kids were planning on being there the next day. LE knew we had access to her house and let me know some cleaning was in order. That's just one day and them being proactive. That was an experience.

I bet and can't imagine how that was for you. I can only imagine how that is for like coroners and LE who likely encounter it a lot. I have been present at more than a few deaths but not with too much time passed after the fact. In one, I think it was a few hours...

Lori meets Melanie Gibb. MG and Lori go on road trip to conference in Utah and Mommy Doomsday meets Daddy Doomsday who MG already knew. MG says Lori starts being very unhappy with Charles, having troubles, not sure why. Charles away, Lori has a spiritual conference at her house. Chad drives 13 hours to be there.

Melanie had a podcast and Lori was a regular on it and soon Chad was a special guest. By this time, a more "earthly" attraction was obvious between Chad and Lori. MG asked her why not get a divorce.

By now Chad telling Lori they were both beyond human, translated beings, godlike. Chad led 31 lives over thousands of years; Lori led 21. In 7 of them, Lori was Chad's wife. Lori loved this idea. Chad then told Lori they both were chosen by god to lead the elect group of 144,000 to do the 2nd coming and lead the end times. Chad and Lori would find the people/couples to fulfill this group/calling. People like Alex. The righteous were to gather near Chad's home in Rexburg, Idaho. He said the people would move there and figured some or most would end up in tents and things of that nature.

Meanwhile Chad and Lori sneaked into an LDS temple and performed a ritual of do it yourself sealings ceremony. They were now sealed as husband and wife for eternity (at least in their view). Of course they were both still inconveniently married to others.

Late January 2019 Charles flies home from a business trip, truck he had parked at Phx airport was gone and he couldn't reach anyone at home. He found he was locked out of his house. Once police helped him get in, he found that many of his things were gone. This is also when as most of us know, he shares with police her threats, that she is a translated being and all her other stuff she had told Charles or threatened him about. At this point though Charles did not know the half of it. Lori had told MG that Charles was to pass away and Chad said Charles had been taken over by an evil spirit. Charles calls Lori and tells her something happened to Charles and he became this unclean spirit, later phrased as a zombie (this part all per MG).

If Chad at that point had any idea Lori's new beliefs came from Chad Daybell, he never said so to LE was only requesting help for Lori and said she was scaring the you know what out of him.

We know next Lori went to police station, said it was Charles, he had cheated, he had a temper, etc. She allegedly passed easily her mental eval per MG.

Within days Charles went to an attorney. Attorney on show speaking. He says not every day you get a client that says his wife threatened to kill him and that she had angels to help dispose of his body. She had cleaned out business account. His attorney said Charles had to make money and scrape up money to even pay his attorney to file for divorce and retain their services. Charles also wanted an order of protection, not just for himself but to protect JJ. Charles worried Lori was brainwashing Tylee with her beliefs. Attorney's impression of his client was that Charles was a broken man. He had been crying and everything he had knew was gone.

However, just two months later, Charles wrote his atty saying he and Lori were back together. At the end, he told atty that love wins. Atty tells Charles he was happy for him but privately felt it may not be best idea. (Ya think??) Atty was right and within weeks Lori had left Charles again.

One day Charles goes to pick up JJ and this is where he ends up dead.

Charles had told his atty if anything happened to him to know it was Lori and Alex who did it. We all know that's exactly who was around when Charles died and I think most of us have seen the body cam footage from LE. Police said Lori's demeanor made about as much sense as the explanation Alex and Lori put forward for the shooting. Lori, Alex and Tylee were questioned at the police station. Alex claimed self defense, lacking evidence to contrary, police released all. Personally, I disagree. Alex had time to walk to a bedroom and get his gun. To me this is one of the dumbest parts of their story...

MG was allegedly shocked that Charles was shot. She knew they said he was to die but she thought he would just die, they would have a prayer and the spirit (does she mean the bad spirit I think?) would leave his body. Say what?? What did she think then? That Charles would die naturally and Chad and Lori would have the chance to "exorcise" him? There are times I don't believe her...

Charles' son screaming and crying in car in his mom's yard. Mom says got a text from Lori that his dad had died. His ex wife immediately thought "they" had killed him. Charles' atty also remembered what Charles said, that it would be Alex and Lori that did it after he died and he also told him Lori would be the instigator but it would be by Alex's hand. It is like he knew and he also had done something about it, changing his life insurance policy. Lori received nothing. I say thank goodness he did that, it is the ONE thing that Lori definitely failed at. This was her cool million I believe she was counting on...

Weeks later Lori moves Tylee and JJ to Rexburg so she could be close to Chad, that man she had been married to seven times. I am going to take a break her and let ya all have a break from it too lol. Still about 30 minutes of this show left.

I’m sorry you had to go through that experience.

This is where she cannot do the insanity defense. Obviously she knew that her crazy ideas were crazy or she would’ve told the police that Charles was a zombie.

Another thought, MG should have told Charles what Lori was saying behind his back. I know she probably didn’t think that Lori would go through with it, but Charles had a right to know. MG didn’t seem to think there was anything wrong with Charles as a person.

Hindsight is 20/20, but let this be a lesson to anybody reading this.

I absolutely think that LE should’ve investigated this a lot further.

See? MG Really did believe Charles was going to die. She should’ve told him!

MG says nice things about Charles but they are pretty basic and then makes the remark well he took JJ a lot of places. To me, it did not seem like she had a lot to do with him. But yes, no doubt, any and all people involved in this who knew some of their beliefs, plans or premonitions of deaths (like of Charles) could have let them know... I guess what you point out is one of a few reasons I don't entirely endorse MG... Even if she did not take active physical part (if so), she did know things...

I agree. I can't believe how many I guess police departments messed up either with thinking something was a natural death too easily or in letting this bunch go in the case of Charles...

Thank you again! I really appreciate you doing this for us.
Not a problem! It's really a well put together show imo. I am watching it in a bit of disjointed way as I watch a bit and then come here to share while fresh and then go back and watch some more lol. I also have relied on others providing info who have watched things I have not so happy to do it.

Linda mentioned the same thing on her vlog yesterday, that the show was put together well. Probably a good one to watch if you don't know the case very well.
