JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

• April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
• December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
• February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
• February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.

Prior boxing in with leading stuff and yes and no answers, but hearing that he felt if he got up and approached Chad, that Chad would "pee" his pants was significant. He most definiitely is processing and I don't think I could ever understand or any of us being raised as he was and so forth but living through this, etc. but this is well worth a watch. he is going to come out the other side of this imo. And come out stronger. His comments about Chad are interesting.

PHOENIX - Lori Vallow has been deemed mentally competent to stand trial in her Arizona case.



In a Rule 11 hearing on Dec. 5 in Phoenix, doctors agreed that the so-called "Doomsday Mom" is mentally fit. The state did not object to the doctors' findings. Her trial will now move forward.

Vallow has insisted on representing herself in her trial, but she has also refused to show up in court at times, which is why hearings were held to determine if she is mentally competent to stand trial.

Lori Vallow was deemed competent to stand trial in Arizona during a hearing in Phoenix on Dec. 5.

In Arizona, Vallow is accused of conspiring in the fatal shooting of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, and plotting the attempted murder of her niece's ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux.

Vallow was extradited to Arizona in November 2023, months after being sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing her two youngest children, J.J. Vallow and Tylee Ryan, and conspiring in the murder of Tammy Daybell. Tammy was the former wife of Chad Daybell, who is Vallow's current husband.

Vallow's competency was an issue in her Idaho trial, where she was found unfit to stand trial in 2021. She spent 10 months in a state hospital before being restored to competency.

I have no idea. It is AZ and has that been addressed or even argued or not wanted or wanted by the respective sides? I don't think it's known. A lot of the first hearings and such were televised in other too until it reached/approached trial if I recall.

LOL. Heels. Probably been awhile since she's walked in such... Probably be allowed normal dress, most are at trial or if asked... Not sure about shackles. I think unbelievably her behavior record is good so hard to say BUT she's also charged with serious sh*t and is now a convicted felon... I don't know if she drops her PDs and represents self who is going to bring her make up and clothes? Her mom? Or will she go back to jailhouse jolly ranchers for lipstick...

What she did to those kids (and others) is so awful it makes it not very hard.

Did you watch Colby's under ten minute one? He swore CDB or DBC I forget, was about to pee himself. I guess it's one thing to run around with someone's mom, kill people, both planning for huge money and other things but quite another to face what you've don and who you've done it to. Of course that's his take. Interesting though.

There are actually things we know that he did not know as he didn't follow most coverage. Didn't know about Brandon's life insurance for one. That was in another one, not this recent short one. He's got another one or two out, I just have not linked or watched.

Going over Sins of My Mother which I gather was Netflix, not Lifetime. Not sure if he watched both or we had mixed up. I haven't watched either TV thing and have no intention of ever doing so. If I see any of either, it will be on his channel. Haven't done so yet though.

Well we know what Lori's long speech at the end of the other trial was so I'm going to guess we are going to be in for sh*t like that at this one with her representing self. She will likely put Mel G through the mill and watch out Audrey although who knows if she will be at this one as a witness. Etc.

And POOR Colby if he is called. Questioned by mom. Charles family, same.

I will be surprised if she continues on her own but guess we will see... And Brandon.

So I guess she will have to line up her own experts, witnesses, ask for funding, etc. Boy she's got a lot of work ahead. Probably more than she's ever done in her life...

I have NO idea what was meant so don't amend anything by what I said. All were total guesses and some of what came up on my search but with no such abbreviation found. Of the STNT.

Well I didn't watch all of her either, and not sure I want to. She is SO difficult to take. I had just come off last night seeing Colby's on former things and now he and the families get this.

Did you hear enough to know what she said? When I realized it was probably her and this case on, she was going on about how she's studied case law, maybe in different states, knew this, knew that, understood, etc, I think had helped some others, and OMG. That's where I should have backed it up and listened. I heard more after that, mostly the judge I am sure doing things foe a SOLID records of do you understand this, that, and a ton of things to which oh yes, she did. and a ton of questions that way. They can't deny pro se, except with certain criteria... She knows it too.

I still think if it gets bad for her, she'll then pull I want an atty but she's so narcissistic, who knows... And again I hate buzz terms like that but with LDB, it is so clear she is.

I am not as sure it will be as easy with Brandon but we shall see, there is probably enough for both cases to be successful but that one is a bit tougher I'd say although he is here to testify and alive, something like 12 million dollars richer and no one can hardly make his ex wife testify... Think she did at Chad's to a point, but she bailed on Lori's... And imo the Mels should be facing their own charges...

IF she represents herself and this is the way I should end this, I when off work or can go back and watch that night, if not live, I will probably start out doing so. I truly believe in watching the whole actual trial, rather than poor news cover, Nate on Tweets was great in Lori,but it is not the same still. But have a feeling I won't be able to tolerate it for long.

How about others? Many couldn't tolerate her interview with Colby. I do get it, for sure. Man did HE do a great job though.

PHOENIX — Lori Vallow Daybell is mentally fit to stand trial in Arizona, according to competency evaluations, and she can represent herself in court.

Two doctors reportedly agreed upon her competency and the state did not object to their findings. A judge announced the ruling with Vallow Daybell in court Thursday morning.

Vallow Daybell arrived in Maricopa County from Idaho just over one year ago and was booked into jail on two first-degree murder charges, officials say.

She was found guilty of killing her two youngest children, 7-year-old Joshua "JJ" Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan, as well as conspiring to kill Tammy Daybell, her fifth husband's previous wife. Vallow Daybell was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences.

After she was found guilty, she was indicted in Arizona for a second time, alleging she conspired to kill her niece's ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux.

She was previously indicted in Arizona in a separate felony case after a grand jury indicted her in 2021 on a charge of conspiring to kill her fourth husband, Charles Vallow.
She is expected back in court in January 2025.

Agree and disagree. I'm not sure I believe or buy she TRULY believes these things. I see them both as big manipulators.
