LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

After Cicero’s testimony ended, the prosecution moved to admit the search history from Richard Allen’s tablet into evidence. The defense objected to this motion with Special Judge Fran Gull stating she would take the motion under advisement.

I wonder what that's about?

This had to be a really hard day for the families, the jurors and everyone that had to see the photos of Abby and Libby.
It's just sickening that he could do this and he must be pyschotic IMO. Who plans to abduct and then do that to two innocent young girls. It is just terrible it took them so long and i sure hope he hasn't done anything else in the 5 years he was free due to a LE error.

Today in court -

Judge Gull admonishes members of the public for falling asleep in the coutroom.

Another expert on DNA confirmed the hair in Abby's hand was from Kelsi, Libby's sister. We said this was probable as it was Kelsi's sweatshirt she was wearing, so that ended up a big nothing burger.

Expert also said there was not enoigh DNA on the bullet to get anything but confirmed it was a match for RA's gun.

I just heard one where Gull said I don't conduct court in your bedroom, don't sleep in my courtroom somewhat scathingly if one can trust the ridiculous news coverage. As you said none are giving much play by play of testimonies.

On break today, before I knew this Tom said he only made it through an hour and a half and was falling asleep and so he left and went back to his room and napped. I'm sure this was before her remark as he got in at the start I'm pretty sure. He also went back at what he figured would be lunch break and stood in line but after a long time, they had not finished yet with the P with the DNA analyst and he figured defense would then go with just her all afternoon and so he gave it up for the day.

Said he'd cover his 1.5 hours today tonight (also did a written recap I read) but that for the full day we'd have to follow someone else for this day's coverage.

Now to GULL, what in the HE77 is wrong with her? Yes, it's probably not nice to be sleeping and I'm sure it hurts the feelings of the families, doesn't look good, etc. BUT she is the one who MADE it this way. She's not standing in line overnight now is she??????? And every time there's a break having to do it all over again and lose one's seat each and every time! It's probably not so bad for news, they are switching out but Tom is on his own basically as are others. I mean he had one of his subscribers nice enough to give him his notes and don't doubt a few others have maybe shared back and forth too, but he's still solo and it finally caught up with him today, the tiredness and boy one can see it.

SHE caused this situation.

And I'm not saying news people aren't tired either, they likely are as well, just saying there's often two or more of them switching places and note taking, etc. while the other goes out and reports and so on.

I find her a total hypocrite in this case/remark about such when again she caused it and she doesn't have to go through any of this to get her seat...

I am beginning to lose interest now as the reporting is not great. I pretty much think evidence is being hyped in some instances eg such a big thing was made about this DNA in Abby's hand, for example.
'they also never get what they are missing. What they are missing isn't that RA's DNA isn't there, because that's what they say, they are missing that NO ONE's IS that relates to THE PERP, wouldn't matter WHO IT IS BUT RA's bullet WAS there and so was he at the trails, on the bridge, etc.

WHOEVER was the murderer LEFT NO DNA that they found.

The hairs related to family members. That was covered.

News is totally crappy, don't they get the murderer set out to leave no DNA and he didn't?

I'm gonna say this regardless whether you are convinced RA is guilty or you're following along with the trial.

The link from jconline states the witness feels Libby was dragged by her arm, which is how it ended up over her head. Dragging a 200 lb body by one arm basically exceeds firefighter or police level training.

I saw a Gray Hughes reconstruction of this. I don't usually like his stuff put this was good. I'll link if I can. Here it is - at time stamp 5 minutes to 10 minutes approx.

Thanks for the time stamp, I try to provide such too when I can so people to see one thing or important part dont' have to watch all. I did start at 5 minutes, however, I ended up watching through to the end. I actually probably found the second time after without Gray talking the more significant one as he was starting and stopping and explaining in the 5 to 10 minute mark one.

is this new? Because I've seen tons of his mapping, animations, and layovers over the years, etc. and he's very good at such I will give him that, VERY good. I wouldn't have watched to the end of this one if it has been three to six hours like some of his but it was 20 minutes maybe. I doubt I missed much in the first five either so not worried about it.

Im' guessing it's older? I didn't go to YT to watch it just stayed on your post and so I didn't see date or anything of when it was done. Because he doesn't have any of the other words said and when said that were explained or at least the way Leazenby I believe it was saw it after like a third version or clean up of it was played... Gray seems to say the girls are confused or talking we can't go this way, that's the only way, etc. to the man but the way it came across to me in testimony is Libby was telling ABby this before the man finally closed in...? Abby also said don't leave me. To Libby I'm sure. I dont' have word for word but quite close on these things.

For these reasons I think it is an older video and not one by him after hearing what was said in court at trial?

It is a good re-enactment though and certainly shows how he closed in when Abby was slower and more careful in where she stepped and how fast he came before she could quite get there... I may well have seen it back when too. Hard to say. Saw a lot of his over the years...

Judge Gull doesn't like people sleeping in her courtroom, but has no problem with them sleeping outside on the sidewalk at 3 a.m. in a line to get a seat.
Aha. Said as much as I was several posts back and I had already heard she said this before I came into the thread.

Said much the same thing. Whose effing fault is it they are so tired? What a hypocrite!

Hey, I can BE not a fan of hers and of this I'm not, nor am I of the sh*tty coverage which she caused as well.

No I haven't seen it yet. Just read so far.
I'm actually skipping all of the news links as I've really about had it with the news. Is there any you or anyone would recommend I watch or read? What's this McQuaid thing? It was easy to catch up by skipping all the news links and I'm really critical of them anyhow as I don't think they "get it". Most anyhow...

But if anything more than the typical or anyone thought something worthwhile, I'd give it a go... I've seen a bit tonight and I think enough to probably have the gist of the day.

Need a shower, have a funeral tomorrow and then have to work, and a few more things to do tonight as well.

I skipped all the news. Maybe I should go back? Is the witness you mean the blood spatter guy? Tom didn't cover all day today and so I dont' have my norm. He is one of the ones Gull has left with inadequate sleep or time to take care of anything more. I see HTC was on but not really a fave. May check out.

So why does the witness feel that? Why couldn't Libby have sretched an arm out or the killer left it in that position, why would she have had to have been dragged?

Also, you says it is exceeding basic emergency service training but dragging someone is a whole lot different than carrying them so I'd need to know more.

Regardless as well of whether any think he is guilty or not, I do, and one thing I keep wondering is what he is sitting there thinking and is he proud of himself for leaving it confusing and leaving no DNA, etc. because I think he likely is... Of course that's jmo and some of it comes from Tom's observations of him which he tends to do a lot, watch him during key times and so forth... No one has to agree of course.

I'd add one more thing, do you think someone like RA has never drug a 200 pound or more deer or bear...? My siblings pulled a dead bear down our road one time. It was my brother, my sister and I think MAYBE one other person but for sure two of them... The short story is it was hit by the Amish of all people and died near my parent's home on their road. It was reported and after maybe ten days no DNR, no one had come to pick it up. It was July and it reeked to high heaven. They had called again. Nothing. Not only could you not be outside at my parents for the stink, it was causing major traffic hazards and more danger as the Amish kept sending people by often in buggies with horses to stop and see this huge bear on the road one of them had hit...

So they drug it like maybe 1/4 mile down the road away from my folks and further off the road. It may well have been just my sister and brother, can't recall, but again may have been a third. The thing was HUGE and it was part of the "attraction" to the Amish, etc..

They weren't fit. They didn't hunt but they did it fairly easily. I was at the house and did not participate in doing such but watched, we all did. Neither was in the service. One was a female.

I'd estimate that bear of think of the largest of black bears because that's the size it was and the attraction it was getting...

Anyhow I guess it's getting to be the one carried on post I generally find myself doing without meaning to after a work day, sorry!

I'd have to know more but I don't necessarily agree RA couldn't have done such but I don't even really see why he thinks that's the key reasonn the arm ended up over her head. Was it done after death or before? Etc. Seems to me there could be a number of explanations.

Finally, I've seen a number of people die... Too many. And what they do in those last moments or that last moment and even in the lead up week... It's too poignant to share but Libby could have been at that final moment and reach to see if Abby was anywhere near or if she could touch her, reaching towards help, anything. Or even towards God...

Maybe I'm way off, and she was posed.

But I guess I'd have to know more of the reasons for thinking that. But even if he thinks it, I'd say RA could have certainly done so... I think his overdressed looking dumpy type dismeanor is very misleading... Just what the Gray video in how fast that bridge was crossed when he wanted to close in. This was a guy on a mission... And how about adrenaline...? Feeling someone may be coming or he was out of time and needed to move her...

Just saying all sorts of things could play in here IF that's even the case...

And I'm just talking the subject and without having read the article so if worthwhile, I'd maybe do so.

I'd also think it would be more likely you'd drag them by their feet but that's just my thought...

Who knows 🤷‍♀️ But then since haven't seen why he thinks that, I'm not even sure she her body was dragged...

Again, I guess it's my transitioning post from day of work to crime and catching up...

It is 3 days old but the animations could be older.

Answering part of your post above.

I think a witness mentioned mud and leaves under her legs which made the witness think that. It was also mentioned she may have been sitting at some point because of the blood pattern downwards on her body. And her hands had blood on them which made the witness think she had her hands to her neck to try and stem the flow of blood, plus the tree marks were from her hands as she fell. Maybe she ended up against the tree and he dragged her to lay her down. It's so gruesome to think about and for the families to witness such detail.

Okay, thank you, I've had moments with both were I was turned off BUT will check them out for last night's links if you thought worthwhile if I get the time. Appreciate the recommendation. I do think I may have also had moments awhile back where I thought they did better than the others coverage once or twice. At least when it comes to traditionall news.

I hope Tom got some good rest as he truly is trying to cover every single question and answer and said as much last night. He did have a show but I didn't make it through before zonking out.

I hope he's rested and can make it through the rest of the week.
