The rapist knows Barry and Barry got his DNA? I just can't get past the DNA. To me, there is no logical explanation other than he was in her car.
it's definitely not out of the question that Barry "might' have planted it. It's also not out of the question that they guy works somewhere where he had actual access to her car or was pilfering it at some time. We have absolutely no idea how long that DNA was in there. What if it had been in there weeks prior to her being reported as missing? Nobody could know that for sure of when it was actually put there.

The odds of it being the DNA of a serial rapist are awfully small, it seems to me. That's one guy out of billions.

How's that? If he worked somewhere where he had access to vehicles and/or is pilfering from them, it is just a guy working in a industry where he has access to vehicles or a rapist that is also a thief or Barry knew of him and set him up. None of those seem far fetched to me. How do we know that the dna isn't older than just at the time she went missing? Could it have been left at an earlier date and if so, how would that make that guy involved?

We're talking about two paths crossing that is at least one in a million. JMO

The DNA is not what it seems and Iris got the judge and the media and half the public to believe otherwise, Lauren Scharf explained it, I think Nate did as well,, AK and more. I can't recall the truth of what it is unfortunately, it has been some time ago but when they gave the TRUE facts of it, it made perfect sense and it was entirely clear all of those people bought into a falsehood as are you. I wish I knew how to find the particular episode, Lauren I am CERTAIN had one and she doesn't put out false stuff.

I entirely disagree and the lies by the defense should be illegal.

Not for a moment do I believe he had nothing to do with it.
What do you think of the DNA in Suzanne's car? From the link upthread -

"About three months after Barry Morphew's arrest, investigators revealed they had DNA that corresponded with three unsolved sexual assault cases - raising the possibility of another suspect. The DNA found on the glovebox in Suzanne Morphew's car matched profiles developed in sexual assault cases in Chicago, Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona, a Colorado Board of Investigation agent said."

Ah, I see you have been discussing it.

On the glovebox could easily mean somebody rifled through or tried to open it, but when? This could have been days or weeks prior. And why only on the glovebox if he had anything to do with her disappearance? That makes no sense.

If I was on a jury, and this came up during the trial, it would pull up a huge red flag. They’ve really got to figure out what this DNA is about.

Yeah, it would be reasonable doubt for me if they can't explain it. Hopefully the rapist will be caught soon and we can get some answers to this.

This article from 2021 said that the rapist's DNA was also on the handlebars of her bike and a cushion in her car. I wonder if this is why BM was released.

I wonder what the source of the DNA is, blood, semen, saliva, touch DNA? We haven't heard that yet, at least not that I've heard.

I think it boils down to that they need to find out who's DNA that belongs to before they take this to trial. If he's a serial rapist, they need to find him anyway. Hopefully before he commits another rape.
I think they must know who it is because he is a serial rapist. Maybe they just cannot find him. Not sure if he has murdered anyone else.
