CO SUZANNE MORPHEW: Missing from Chaffee County, CO - 10 May 2020 - Age 49 *Found Deceased*

A Chaffee County woman is missing after a neighbor said she went out for a bike ride Sunday and never returned, sparking a search involving more than 100 emergency personnel.

The Chaffee County Communications Center received a report on Sunday at 5:46 p.m. regarding a missing woman in the area of County Road 225 and West Highway 50.


Anybody who has information on Morphew’s whereabouts is asked to call the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office at 719-539-2596 or Chaffee County Crime Stoppers at 719-539-2599.

SUZANNE MORPHEW is still #missing from Mayesville, CO. Her husband was arrested in 2021 for her murder!

Edna Quintana, seems to have been last seen walking 'down a
mountain [path?] to her car - very possible mountain lion victim.
Krystal Reisinger, last call she received was from 'a local man with
an alleged history of drugging & assaulting' persons. Confided to her
landlord friend that she’d been to a drum-circle party one night where
she’d been given a lot of drugs and she thought that someone had
“taken advantage of her.” Possibly allegedly last seen at a later Drum
Circle party.
The other 'unknown sex' remains that were found in another area in
Saguache County last weekend (that would be 23/24 Sep, I assume)
- guess we'll have to wait to see more about that.
Barry Morphew's attorney's mentioning these other unclosed cases
is a bit of a reach, as if there were an epidemic of missing persons.
More a grab-bag of unclosed cases, probably unrelated to each other.
Doesn't seem to be an excessive amount of unclosed cases - (the
attorney is doing a great job of keeping pressure on the prosecurial
side, hoping for them to announce they won't be proceeding any
more against BM, maybe?).

No animal attack. There would be clothes left. With sign of an attack. An animal wouldn't eat those. And no animal will eat the head. There would be partial remains at least. And bones would show signs of an attack.
 
Arguable. You've seen those video's of African leopards dragging
away same body size gazelles? Mountain lion should be able to
do the same. Particularly, if it's a female with cubs to feed - they
get desperate in that case. It's in the mountains after all, they
can't be expected to look under every bush for fallen off shoes,
or follow through every rockoutcrop to where ever its den may be.
(Note: not applicable to SM, refering to Edna Quintana here).

That isn't a person wearing clothes. And they won't eat the head itself. There's evidence left behind. You notice in the videos they eat the middle first.

So that's 4 including Suzanne but they haven't yet found the other 3. Is that right? It would explain why they are still searching in the area. So a serial killer....

Oh I think they will wait to rearrest until some ducks are in a row (agree), although if there is a smoking gun (her bikini for instance would be pretty big but is only one example, evidence of tranq would be bigger yet) and if they found he was about to flee, I'd hope they would move when it is best. I remain steadfast that Barry is responsible for her death.

They need to get the story behind the mystery DNA before they do it he's likely to get off on reasonable doubt. It only takes one juror to believe it.

They found some missing guy there like in July is what I heard. They have not found Edna and there is no second body NOW is what some are saying.

Even what you share here doesn't lead me to any serial killer thought, as you say likely unrelated. Place though is allegedly known as the boneyard. Imo BM could have well known that just as it seems all other area people do so he could have placed her there for that reason OR moved her when he heard it or heard they were searching for Edna. I heard this was the second search for Edna here, the other one being a time ago and so yeah, he could well know that. The public there seems to.

Defense will make something unknown or minor/nothing into something naturally. It is what they did previously, all do.

I doubt the mountain lion theory. Don't know anything about Edna's case but unlikely if you ask me. Don't believe it with Suzanne either.

Does anyone know how Edna's last sighting was that she was taking a mountain walk or some such? WHere does that come from? Video, last person to talk to her or see her or what...?

Not saying it is impossible but I find it unlikely. Any idea where the info comes from of what she was last doing/seen, meaniing taking a walk in the mountains? That alone is a big thing that sends me away from an animal kill. They are just rare. It is sure speculated in every case but I've yet to see one I have followed that turns out to be that.

What doubt was given re Barry? I've seen none. We know he put her somewhere (or I guess THINK he did) and never known where and most all have also felt he moved her at some point so again what have they shared that has cleared Barry? Have I missed something? If you are talking the statement of Iris OR of Barry, that's the last thing that says it wasn't him.

Where she was found fits with what I have always thought as most likely perfectly. Go in one direction to dispose of her and in the other for the alibi.

I'm sorry but what about this hints at a serial killer? We have a male found there in July, Suzanne now, and I don't know specs or much about the case of Edna but I believe they are searching in the area she went missing which wasn't true of Suzanne. There aren't any similarities that I can see. Other than this is known as the Boneyard which just means the public knows it and so it means any killer would know it or figure it would just be where others dump and/or confuse authorities. It is like the desert outside of \Vegas, also known to be not an uncommon place, etc.

I am just now reading further. And I sooooo AGREE. I see no reason here at all to connect these victims. In some other instances I do. Not in this one. Not so far anyhow. It is a huge leap.
