Who is the Long Island Serial Killer?

The Long Island serial killer (also referred to as LISK, the Gilgo Beach Killer or the Craigslist Ripper) is an unidentified suspected serial killer who is believed to have murdered 10 to 16 people over a period of nearly 20 years.

Burlap, Dismemberment. Then burying. It's different. Someone took the time to bury all those girls. That's why I strongly suspect her last client. He wouldn't notice anything all those times?.

I know the DA said buried but I believe he either misspoke or is mistaken, lol!

Shannan is the one that gets me. Mostly because of her mom. Her advocating and meeting such a tragic end. I've seen "Lost Girls". "Amy Ryan" plays "Mari Gilbert". A very versatile actress and underrated.

Never watched it but know a daughter killed her. Also know a daughter advocated for Shannon just as her mom did and that's where a lot of the criticism of LE and rightly so came from from the public but there were plenty of other reasons as well.

The way I look at it, their constant battle for an investigation, a real one, and search resulted in the discovery of the other women. All because of Shannon and her family imo. It gave answers to many as to where their child was at least.

They look good today but many know and still remember there was a lot of reason they didn't. LE and higher ups I mean.

I am tickled pink there is an arrest don't get me wrong. For some of the victims.

It is been this kind of day for me so please forgive me, I'm not following/trackign well. Meaning he should havve noticed buried women or the others in the other area,, etc.? I too suspect him and whoever if anyone else at his home....

You very well may have. I NEVER get headaches and these last few weeks I have been. It may be the fact I am in one position at work most of the day where it used to be I was throughout the store and my feet were the hardest hit. Feet still can hurt but not nearly as bad as walking on them on concrete all day but the headaches are not something I'm accustomed to. Also been stressed and maybe its sleep too or position, I sure don't know. It is though unusual for me, the headaches. It isn't the only thing though that made it not the easiest day.

If I see spines on sale or for sale , I will alert you immediately. I PROMISE.

There were four bodies "wrapped in burlap" and found within close proximity to one another and the victims were missing in '07, '09, and two in '10.
Remains of two more victims were subsequently found along that same stretch of hwy although some distance away from the four. Those victims had been dismembered and their other remains had already been found in Manorville, LI, as I recall, relatively soon after they'd been missing in '00 and '03.
There are other remains along that same stretch of hwy - I think they're still unidentified- of a male and a woman nicknamed "Peaches" from a tattoo and a toddler believed to be hers. Peaches was matched to other remains found in '97 in (I think) Fire Island. Another unidentified woman was found on Fire Island in '96.

I forgot about "Fire Island". I've seen too many movies and documentaries about how it was. That it sticks in my head. And then AIDS started spreading like wildfire.

Sarra stabbed Mari 227 times with a 15 inch knife. Beat her with a Fire extinguisher, Sprayed her with it.Stripped her, And took her jewelry. Mari had reported Sarra a few months before for killing a puppy. And was trying to get control of Sarra's one year old. 227 times. I can't imagine that.

I know that work has to be hard on you. And thanks for keeping an eye out for spines. I'm use to headaches. But some are worse. Now that it has been discovered I have 2 more herniated discs in my neck. 3 new tailbone area. 7 total. So I have a headache to some degree every day. But someone not use to headaches. I'm sure it hurts more to them. YOU.

He picked small women and he was massive. Reminds me of a bully and smaller child. They wouldn't have a chance. His wife wasn't small. I'm not saying she was big but she doesn't look petite.

I shouldn't say it but I'm glad Costello fleeced him and he got no sex or murder on that occasion. Sadly he tried again and such did happen. But at least she foiled his plans and stole from him, I'm okay with that. It also gave the description of him and the vehicle, etc.

I don't see him as brave or anything. He is picking small women, prostitutes that get into an intimate or private situation with him making it easier, he is massive. And he leaves Costello's due to a supposed "bf" being present and outraged and yet he was likely bigger than him and the man owns 92 guns. Sounds to me like he is a coward but a murderous one who has to stack the deck.

I had a feeling that was the reason. I didn't hear it put quite like that I don't think but so much yesterday who knows. The guy on the PC did say something about arresting now for a reason rather than waiting to develop more and I figured he was about to pounce again or something or DID or TRIED. Sounds to me like they were surveilling him, monitoring him around the clock.

BIG head, described as a large ogre. Well over 6' feet I believe. You should see the pic of him with the cops, he towers over all of them.

There are 8 I heard this morning still unsolved. I was thinking 6.

You know, just like Allen too, he lived right there. Probably hearing people talk of the case, worrying about a serial killer free, etc. In Long Island I'd think the talk of it came up enough. It didn't sound like he engaged much though with neighbors, etc.

IIRC There were 11 counted as victims. I heard of the 3 for sure linked to this POS. One pending so that would make the 11 of course. I'm not sure why they were holding back on victim #4.

Mine isn't going away either. I call my headaches like this. My "Stalker" Headaches. Because no matter how much you want them to. They just WILL NOT go away!

They named him a suspect in it though. My guess is they were waiting for something or assembling the charges or the grand jury was when something happened that they had to arrests them. I believe that one will come. Hope so anyhow.
