Prosecutors also put in a request to the court for a DNA swab of Crybaby. Wife's attorney said she has not been asked for one but we know they already have hair samples of hers.

I'll honestly admit I did not know they couldn't get and put DNA into a database until conviction. At least in NY. Not sure about elsewhere but even then with CODIS, I think federal law rules it or some such. Talked about it awhile back in this.
It makes sense I guess. He hasn’t been convicted of a crime, and he’s in jail so he can’t be committing other crimes at this point.

I have a hard time believing everything was just normal and a-okay. As I've said before with a cheater and then one who sees prostitutes, there are definitely things you pick up on constantly even if you can't quite catch them, put your finger on what exactly they are doing each time and so forth. You even wonder with a cheater and one who goes missing on occasion or can't quite explain where they were, why there is a receipt from an entirely different town than where they were said to be, etc., etc., you wonder if they are cheating? Have a mistress? Are a serial killer? BECAUSE they are hiding so many things and not being honest. There is NO way in 20+ years she didn't pick up on at least lies and cheating. I don't mean she could prove it but she definitely suspected at least that much and felt it and sensed it.

She'd have to be the most gullible, uninterested, not paying attention at all wife to have not picked up on anything. I don't even mean about the murders. I mean about him having a secret life at all, as in cheating.

Did she know about both storage units? I wonder. She had to know about the room in the basement. Did he build this or was it present as part of the home I wonder.

Was she involved in their finances at all or bills at all?

As we know now the one murder was likely on Valentine's early in their marriage when she was pregnant with their one and only child. I guess he could have taken her out for a big dinner and then home tired and went out but I doubt it since Karen was from Manhattan and then again where did he take Karen. Or was she pregnant and out of town on Valentine's... ASSUMING of course Karen's murderer is Crybaby.

I'm just not convinced of anything I guess. I certainly don't think she should be accused without any evidence but I do think there is a lot here to be unsure of yet.

She's walking a dog here so there was likely one animal at least in these recent years. Was there back when? Were there animal hairs found in addition to hers and his ...
Never underestimate a master manipulator. I was married to someone who fooled everyone who knew him. They’re still talking about it and scratching their heads.

If you mean the DNA, I think though we all know now I thought in most states DNA can be taken on an arrest for a felony or is it only on conviction? I think it gets taken on arrest no? I guess I assumed it was run for matches at that point but find now it isn't BUT they can match it to other cases if I understand it correctly, just can't run it through the system for any match right?

Meaning if Vegas called with a case they thought was a likelihood they could compare what they had with what NY has, etc. Just again can't run it in Codis etc. for any matches.

Do I have this right or wrong?

IN just added such in the last year or two and I recall thinking if they'd had it before they may have had a hit on Abby and Libby but maybe not unless a convicted offender. But state databases are different and NY limits it or so it sounds, not sure all states do.

That's the best I understand it at the moment.

Oh I don't. But can you honestly tell me there weren't things you dealt with with that same husband, put up with, found out about him or his games or ways, etc.? And realized even more once you were away and had hindsight? That's all I'm saying with her. Not necessarily that she would think he was a serial killer but she sure the heck had cause most likely for doubts about him, caught him in lies, odd behavior and more. I don't believe for a minute this was some ideal marriage.

Yes, in hindsight it all makes sense.

Grizzly is saying to take it with a grain of salt because it comes from Reddit, but supposedly the producer of The Killing Season, Josh Zeman, has said they have also identified Peaches and Baby Doe by authorities!

Not confirmed but it wouldn't surprise me. Per the producer of the Killing Season we will likely hear about it in two weeks...

It's interesting to me with Vergata and if true now about Peaches and Baby Doe that this comes from the task force who identified Crybaby with the other murders. I'm sure they are likely looking at all but it has to make one wonder (at least it does me) if they think and know he is related to those as well... IS it one killer for MOST of the bodies....

She is also saying the WH belt was found on Vergata they are saying now NOT on Maureen Barnes. She says she needs to check more into it but that is what is being said now... I believe "they" means LE, not sure...

I trust her videos and her, she does not go over the top and she is stating she needs to confirm that further.

More of interest with the toddler and jewelry found on the toddler...

I'm only minutes in and it is worth watching. When I can't keep up and if she is covering a case I can't keep up on, she's a good one to go to for things I haven't read or seen elsewhere. Either from my lack of time to find it or because no one else has either if I read updates or new posts. Recommending watching her. She puts out a lot and I can't watch them all but she is well researched and I wish I could.

Grizzly says also the D.A. did a thing with Newsday and said three victims would get their names back.... Peaches, Baby Doe and the Asian male...?

I don't have time but where is this Newsday one? Maybe I'll try to find it if I get a chance but it will have to be before work in the morning. This one was close to a 12 hour day and we were BUSY.

O/T. I clearly don't know everything about her, not sure how many do lol but way back when she was a pilot for South African Airlines. She is a traveled, intelligent, apparently very versatile woman (is that the word?), an educated one and has written books. I honestly thought when I first came on her she simply was really good at Youtube and true crime, thought her new but didn't seem too new or inexperienced, and knew she lived out of the country in, is it, the Netherlands now? I think so. I keep finding new things out and yet she is so down to earth and this is a solo show. She does have help but just her on her shows.

And she works hard at it.

Anyhow, just saying... WOW.

It does. And that's what I'd expect this wife to see at some point or start seeing (and the kids but less so maybe them) and Richard Allen's wife as well, etc.
Insight from Dennis Rader's daughter (she's a guest in the video below) and other guests, convinces me that surely, the LISK- in some way or another- abused his family.
Also, it's observed that his wife immediately filing for divorce could indicate that there was abuse.

Below are articles re another unsolved murder that appears could be linked to the LISK.

He treated me like gold at home. Every once in a while, I would hear a comment from the outside and wonder why they thought that of him, though. Usually about him being a male chauvinist.

Down to my last few minutes here before work but yeah, I see most of this guy's shows, not sure if I saw this one but I've seen her on before. I think I linked one where I found a lot of what she had to say about this case interesting, etc.

Abuse. Hmm. Wouldn't doubt it of course.

Although I do think the filing for divorce could be due to him telling her to, for strategic reasons, and for herself otherwise for both strategic reasons and to separate herself for public view at last from him, hoping to dull the impact of society on herself or children.

Is this a recent one? No time to watch right now.

I'm going to need to look later or maybe get a chance at break. Hmmm.

Why do you state "at home". Did he treat you differently when around people?
