those are called office sharing. They have many of those here. There can be multiple companies represented in one place. Also many people that are working in a contract basis use them.
Yeah we do it here too. This was a big building so had a lot of space. 12 floors plus a basement altogether, I think it is. Lots of companies are listed there. It is a corner building on 5th avenue and 39th street and is part of the Empire State building complex.

A lot of people would do that just to have that address. Here there are many in the "lavish" areas, but when you look into it, you then find out their office is just a shared desk space with many other companies. It's the new version of having a high end PO Box address but with an actual address.

I'd love to read this, but the NYT hasn't let me read their articles in a long time. I've viewed too many without registering.

Gilgo Beach suspect Rex Heuermann reads about his case in

  • Gilgo Beach suspect Rex Heuermann has been in jail since July on charges of killing three women.
  • The New York Times reported Heuermann receives visit requests from true-crime fans and journalists.

The man suspected of killing at least four women whose remains were later found buried on a Long Island beach has spent much of his time behind bars reading about his case and refusing visit requests from journalists and true-crime fans, according to the Suffolk County sheriff.
Rex Heuermann, 59, has been in the Suffolk County jail since July. He is charged with the murders of three women who went missing in 2009 and 2010 and has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
Sheriff Errol Toulon gave The New York Times insight into Heuermann's daily routine in jail. Toulon said Heuermann is often brought to a secluded section of the exercise yard for an hour at a time, where he walks laps alone. The Times also reported that Heuermann reads books from the jail's library and watches a TV controlled by jail guards outside his cell.
According to the Times, Heuermann has not received any visits from his wife and children.
Authorities are far from finished with their investigation into the Gilgo Beach homicides — in total, 11 victims' remains have been found at or near the Gilgo Beach area. Just in August, investigators identified one of the victims as Karen Vergata, who disappeared in 1996, though authorities have not said whether Heuermann is suspected in her death.

The Times reported that investigators have been interviewing female jail inmates in Long Island who have previously worked as escorts. All three Gilgo Beach victims Heuermann has been charged with killing were escorts, and authorities suspect that Heuermann may have frequented many sex workers in Suffolk County.
The county's district attorney, Ray Tierney, even said during a July press conference that authorities moved quickly to arrest Heuermann once they realized he was seeing escorts and potentially endangering them.
"We learned the defendant was using these alternate identities and alternate instruments to continue to patronize sex workers, which, of course, made us very nervous," Tierney said.
In the months since Heuermann's arrest, jail officials have interviewed about 120 female inmates so far — 10 of whom have said they encountered Heuermann in various ways, the Times reported. According to the newspaper, some received online date requests from Heuermann, and others met up with him in person.
Toulon told the Times that two of those 10 women reported having frightening intimate encounters with Heuermann, though neither were injured.

Heuermann's defense attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider.

I wonder if part of his defense is going to be transferred DNA?

I wonder if part of his defense is going to be transferred DNA?
Of which? His or his wifey's?

He has a lot more to worry about imo than just his DNA. I think when all is said and done they will have more on ol' Crybaby than they had on Lori Vallow for circumstantial, by a LONG SHOT. Even with the years lost i this investigation and the screw ups. Jmo.

Oh you mean because he had sex with them just before the SK did? That could work once but these are multiple murders.

How could he explain how his wife's hair got on at least 3 of the victims - on the burlap wrapping and tape? That would be even harder to explain.
Her hairs added with her behavior which seemed to be preplanned, ready to go, won't let me give her any benefit of the doubt which normally I would at least TRY to do.

Just give her the guns already. NOT.

As far as I'm concerned, there is more to make me feel right now that she is CB's little sidekick. Helper mate.

Interesting that her attorney and that of her children haven't held any more huge choreographed press conferences... Kind of quiet other than of course the GUN thing and sh*t behind the scenes I suspect.

I know I am repeating myself but I don't like this woman. It isn't just the hairs. Not a single thing has resonated right. I could change my mind IF I saw reason to.

To this day, I await one word about the POOR victims and their families, what they have been through for YEARS and costs to their lives, families and outcomes due to it and not just financially but in ability to cope and get through, etc. NOT A WORD. Just poor Asa having lived this for a couple of months in comparison. And she could do it without admitting her ex did it, etc. by just saying it wasn't my husband but I can sure empathize or sympathize... I think it is telling. He is a serial killer and Lord knows there is no empathy, sympathy or guilt there, in fact he got jollies out of hurting and taunting family members but look at her, it is me, me, me. None there either. Not a person that cares about others in our society at all. Any could say to me well look at what she is going through but here is what I have to say about that: ....The recent missing child at the campground who they were fortunate enough to get back safe today? Family I am sure totally traumatized, worried their daughter was dead and through a kind of he77 no one that hasn't been through it, not me, not you, can ever imagine and yet what did that mom say?? KEY point. She knew and bled for that other families have been through such and not got the result they did, he daughter is alive. At her WORST time in life I assume, she was THINKING of others who had went through such he77 and did not get the same outcome. She had every right and understanding to not even think of such or feel she needed to say such at this relief moment in this BUT this is someone that empathizes and thinks of others too in her WORST of times.

Asa isn't. I get her life was turned upside down, house searched, husband arrested, etc. but look at the mom of the child who went missing. Asa has had time after time to mention the VICTIMS here and nope. Nary a word.

I don't LIKE her and I can't help it, I have tried. I just gave another example or two of why.

She could change my mind but I doubt she will.

Apparently 50 of those guns are illegal. Also, Shannon Gilbert's lawyer says there is a link to Heuermann.

I'm not set on the wife knowing anything. By the looks of their house itself, it looked like they had both checked out and he did his thing and she did hers and the less interaction, the better. Just living together because it was easier. She might have known he was up to something she knew she didn't want to know about, too. Blissfully unaware.

Yeah I never mentioned it but I thought fat chance for her with the illegal guns plus would think he will face charges on such quite possibly.

I wanted to see what was said about the Shannon/Crybaby connection but tried three times and have no sound and no sound or volume button comes up for me on the link.

If CB was involved in Shannon's death then we know he had an accomplice, at least for her death.

That's entirely possible and the same crosses my mind, however, I can't assume it either. And this woman is acting like no shrinking violet.

Her hairs were present. For me they LIKELY come from the home. She may have been gone when one or two went missing but that's all we know. The victim's attorney says she was well aware and was home when he had prostitutes in the home. Now that's a bold statement and most attorneys do not feel an atty would say such without a basis. It is entirely possible this comes from even living prostitutes, hard to say.

I could go on in that vein but I'll just leave it at I can't assume the obvious picture, that neither really cared what the other did which IS how it looks or could other than all she has done since this happened. If it was that ambivalent of a marriage and she had no knowledge, then I'd be bailing now and STATING to the public she had no idea, showing sympathy for the victims and making it clear she is done with him. I don't see any such thing and in fact feel what she is doing may be even partly at his behest if not all of it. She is a sue happy woman on top of it. And by the way so was he (or they), he had more than one accident claim/lawsuit which resulted in settlements. Not saying they couldn't have been legit and deserved but whatever I read on that did not make it seem so.

And I keep asking myself why I feel as I do but it is her different acts. Is she a "woe is me"? If so, well then she sure then turns around and has balls. The entire LISK thing was right in their YARD basically even if one just considers the part of Long Island where they lived. Then it became Manhattan and Gilgo, etc. Then there was the BELT. And a husband whose LIFE was escorts and prostitutes. For decades.

I can't go into the typical assumption on her of just a wife with her head in the sand. No reason to that I see of so far. I could believe it of Rick Allen's wife in Delphi first but little is known there but even so, I could see it easier in that case. The woman in this one put herself front and center. They have quieted now I am sure due to such being seen for what it was, especially the two attorneys and their press conference.

It is just my opinion though. The jury is still out for me with regard to her. And I can see the opinion you hold and consider it myself a possibility. Her acts don't quite fit it though.
