There is a little sound on/off button (bottom left) that you need to click to hear or mute the sound. Next to the play/pause button.
I was not going to try again as tried too many times last night and have no time and was frustrated with it but gave it one more shot. I had no buttons of any kind. I finally made my screen in my entire browse about 1/2 size and then had buttons. No idea why, all other tabs open were fine, YT was fine, all open with sound, etc. Must have been Court TV specific or something. Anywhooo....

Interesting. Her attorney has made some bold claims and this is another. I don't doubt him, don't get me wrong and I also feel it likely as he said with this breaking open, people that walk on the other side of the line a bit in life had no faith or anyone to call they could trust PLUS now they have a face and name with CB so I can see things coming in now. 'ALSO it is a no brainer that even over the years, he has likely talked with friends of Shannon and more and let's face it, LE did absolutely S*** (all caps) on her case.

I have talked of this group thing before in this thread. I have wondered about it and a connection with CB since his arrest but I put it aside as he appears to be a lone wolf in these murders. APPEARS to be. I could though see that and still see a "group" of certain types with other things, parties you name it. It always comes back to big people... Of money or of import or power...

I don't know where it all stems from, this talk of such that has went on for years now but I can see it. They'd have us accept it was only the John and the driver there with Shannon but I'm not so sure... I'll leave that one alone for now BUT her phone call. I can't believe we sit here with them trying to make it into something it isn't and some just accept that. I hear that call ENTIRELY differently than they say t is and MANY if not MOST do. I sit and listen to retired cops etc. say the same thing about it they do and I do not know HOW they can say that other than I guess they aren't of a normal life of many nor are most of them women, sorry but that is all I can figure. OR I guess they just can't go there due to who is involved and due to how big WHAT they were doing really is and what t would blow open.

Shannon Gilbert did NOT drown. And yet they still say that. Even with a "new" administration they refuse to reopen it, look at it or discuss it basically.

I don't have time to go into it all and I don't think some group was in on these CB murders necessarily nor that CB was responsible for Shannon necessarily but something reeks to high heaven on that island or part of it and amongst some people of note very possibly.

Well I gather there was a recent hearing and both the prosecution and defense spoke after it. I am watching me some Grizzly and she is sharing all the updates and he PCs after. Forgive me if already shared or covered, I can't keep up with all, I did go back a couple of pages and didn't see it.

The buccal swab taken after arrest has now matched the pizza crust further confirming his match. CB is allowed four hours a day I believe to review the discovery the defense provides him and he made a weird point of telling the judge that even though allowed four, he only uses two and a half to three. They addressed a few things, one of which was a watermark on every page of discovery the defense isn't happy with so that is going to see some changes it sounds like. Defense also didn't like PDF pictures, etc.

Interesting: Defense says they had pole cameras set up watching CB's house for a year and a half prior to arrest!

Grizzly says Asa has a defense attorney and then says now actually she thinks she has TWO defense attorneys.

Per Grizzly (not sure if came from court or one side or other or where) Rex has someone who visited him two times who is not family nor counsel. It won'\t be shared for what it would do to the person's life...!

Prosecution is looking at CB in relation to all bodies, etc. (I'm not saying they are saying they are linked, they are doing that though).

What else...?

Hmm, I know there was more I wanted to point out but drawing a blank. Let me think...I also am still in progress on her video.

Still blank... I will likely be back... When more comes to me. Maybe.

OH and yes CB and Asa communicate per defense.

Totally unverified chat comment: Someone in chat said they heard the unknown visitor is his business partner. Did he HAVE a business partner?

I stewed on it for a few minutes and couldn't come up with anyone I'd think would want to risk being associated with CB. Not family. Not counsel. My thoughts went to someone to pass info for Asa. Then they went to what IF someone could get in trouble with him/be ratted out by CB, they would have a need to talk to him or be concerned enough to visit. Finally thoughts went to what IF there was another woman in his life...

I know I had other thoughts and remarks to share from it so far but still drawing a blank. I will come back and link her show. The actual pressers also can probably be found if anyone has interest in doing that.

Defense attorney says 99 percent of what pole cams show is him going to work, coming home from work to be with family, etc., etc. chopping wood and so on. G says in comment to it that yeah, neighbors said chopping wood in middle of night, giving them odd stares, wouldn't let their kids trick or treat there, etc. Lol, puts a different twist on defense attys. normal behavior remark. G also says what does the other 1 percent show him doing... Gotta love her quick thoughts/wit.

Defense atty says on arrest in police vehicle there is video of unless he is some terrific actor CB was totally in shock, no idea why arrested, etc. Also says pole cameras show nothing per se, at scenes of crimes (figure he means where bodies found) ME has nothing of CB or that relates to him. I take this as nothing talk, i doubt the scenes showed anything about anyone on site on recovery at that moment, etc. Typical defense atty. attempted spin and not very good at it imo.

The ending several minutes of her video cover an article much like Tresir posted although I couldn't see that one, but about talking to 120 sex workers in jail, etc. about CB. It goes further and I gather back in I think 2011 they offered to help police and the head of some group relating to them did but LE would't offer immunity or take hem up on what they might know as they were concerned about this killer killing sex workers too. That's awful and tragic if you ask me. But then NOTHING was done right and only corruptly back when. Good video anyhow.

The refusal to this day to change Gilbert's cause of death or really look at it bothers me to no end. So we have a new man in town, a great task force that got results, etc. but STILL they won't TOUCH that one. I'm sorry but that does nothing but make me even MORE suspicious (and many others I believe) of WHY that is and WHO is involved, related, connected, etc. that this would go on through even this "new" administration, etc...

This is creepy. The lawyer John Ray, (Shannon Gilbert) was receiving taunting calls up until the arrest of CB earlier this year. The calls were recordings of details of the Shannon Gilbert reportings. One particular call was asking if he was enjoying his dinner when he was eating later than usual. Then there was a knock on the door and a pizza was delivered. He contacted the Pizza place and they said a woman placed the order while someone in the background gave details of toppings. These calls stopped after the arrest of CB.

Accused serial killer Rex Heuermann possibly had a female accomplice who “lured” some of the victims, according to a lawyer involved in two of the still-unsolved Gilgo Beach cases being investigated for possible ties.
John Ray had been tipped off ahead of time that dad of two Heuermann, 59, was going to be arrested last Thursday, he told the US Sun.

The same well-placed source also named a second suspect, according to Ray — who refused to share the name while teasing his long-held belief that a woman may have been involved.
“We also believe that some of the victims could’ve been lured by a woman,” he told the outlet, without elaborating on why or if the “we” included investigators.
Ray told the outlet that his belief that a woman may have been involved was based in part on info he had that the body of a toddler — whose death Heuermann has not been charged with — was found wrapped in blankets in April 2011.
“It’s that kind of thing that, if you’re such a depraved murderer, you don’t take time to do,” Ray said of the still-unidentified toddler, whose mother was later found dead farther away in Nassau County.

“That, to me, seems like an act of a mother,” he said.

“We’re concerned to make sure that another murderer — or murderers — are still going to be actively sought after, and I think they will be now that this has developed.”

Ray also said a woman was involved in threatening calls that were made to his home and office since January directly referencing his work representing the families of Jessica Taylor, 20, and Shannan Gilbert, 23, whose deaths the Gilgo Beach task force is still investigating.
They appear similar to calls Heuermann is accused of making to murder victims’ loved ones — and they ended last week, when the accountant was busted outside his Fifth Avenue office, Ray said.
“The same language is used, the same tape recordings are used, it’s the same eerie voices and crazy sounds that are used in every one of those calls,” said Ray.

“They play news reports from the Shannan Gilbert case from sometime around 2011 or 2012 and make noises in the background at the same time.
“Then they say some nasty things, or weird things to let us know that, whoever it was, they wanted to make sure we connected the call to the Gilgo situation,” he told the Sun.
Alarmingly, some suggested the lawyer was being watched, including one asking if he was “enjoying dinner” on a night he was eating far later than usual.
“Then this person, a few seconds later, said, ‘I hope you enjoy your pizza,'” he said.

“Within seconds, our doorbell rang, and … there was the guy delivering three pizzas” that they “didn’t order,” he said.

Heuermann is also a pie lover, with his DNA match coming from his pizza leftovers.
“We called the police, and the Pizza Hut person who took the order said it was a woman with a man in the background pretending to choose toppings that had made the call,” Ray said.

Heuermann has not been charged with the murders of Taylor, Gilbert or the blanket-wrapped toddler.
However, Long Island cops have made it clear they are still examining the murders — and have yet to rule out the accused serial killer.

The Gilgo Beach task force “will stay intact” to continue investigating the murders of six other people found not far from the four women to whose murders Heuermann has been linked, Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison said.

“Is Rex Heuermann part of those six? Well, we’ll wait and see,” Harrison told News 12 Long Island.
Asked if someone else may have been involved, Harrison replied: “Time will tell — time will tell.”
Heuermann’s wife’s DNA was believed to have been found on three of the victims’ bodies. However, the accused serial killer appeared to strike when she was out of town — and she was “disgusted,” “embarrassed” and “shocked” at his “double life,” Harrison previously said.

Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to murdering Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman and Amber Costello, and was named the prime suspect in the murder of Maureen Brainard-Barnes.
The bodies of the so-called “Gilgo Four” were found on Ocean Parkway in December 2010 as part of a hunt for Gilbert, a missing Jersey City sex worker whose remains were found a year later.

Yeah I've seen and heard this some time back. Not sure I remarked on it but would think I would have if time and possibly even if not, I may well have made a point to with the little time I had but can't recall.

He seemed to hint the child's mother may have been a mistress, gf, accomplice which then would lead one to wonder if the child may not even have been his. However, I can read all this and think too of his wife who I have NOT dismissed by a long shot...

There are SEVERAL things to reasonably speculate on with this and even come to some conclusions on.

First LE to this day is almost adamant Shannon is not one of ALL the other murders and that even she was not murdered. However the caller taunts with her as well as the other. That COULD be because he was responsible or part of it ir it COULD be because he just is bugging Ray and toying on both of Ray's cases/victims and includes Shannon for the mind game it does and to mess with both families and Ray, etc. She may not be one of his..He just wants to toy or throw off any investigation.

Next if the pizzas were ordered by phone how were they paid for and by WHOM or were they sent to Ray with him expecting to pay in cash? Do they do this in areas any longer or some areas at least without a card guarantee?? This may have been answered when I saw it some time back but can't recall.

The final and biggest thing I can think of right now is they tracked other burners to other calls and more AND if they have any way to do so or even recordings to match voices on and similar things said and ways used etc well that could be huge...

This is an older article and not new news even to me with my limited time but it certainly is some food for thought and interesting. I imagine LE has all this and far more in this case. Personally I think things will keep coming for at least a decade if not ten decades... LE is only just getting started...

Didn't read the whole thing, but his wife jumps to mind.
She makes the most sense and Ray has come right out and said she was well aware of him and sex workers and present when he'd get one to come to their home. Ray has also said he wonders about the toddler's mom and of course thinks a female was involved, one reason is the phone calls but I think he likely has more reason than that, maybe from former sex workers who didn't die, hard to say...

As you know from more than one post about her, the wife just doesn't sit right with me nor her behavior.

It has been REALLY quiet on that front of her and her mouthy attorney lately. Last thing I know of was her asking for his guns back but I think that was gotten from court records, or the heairng, etc.

The most damning thing in that article is that the calls stopped completely after his arrest.

Ray also says he was tipped off that an arrest was coming.

This article is only 3 months old and I don't think I had seen it before. Or if I had, I didnt understand the significance of it at the time.

Yes that is odd but did it say how often these were or when the last one was? Not doubting, just don't recall hearing that part either when I firs heard or now. As you say it has only bee a few months. Was he getting them daily, weekly, monthly, etc.? Or every three to six months in which case it can't be shown they stopped. So it would take knowing that.

I don't mean the article is old as in years but it is as in this case as to be not new breaking news a few months later. All of this stuff and a ton more came out in the flush of all breaking news after his arrest and in that respect it's old in this case since breaking news and coverage of course went wild on is arrest. That's old in the scheme of that.

There is a good chance I heard it on a YT video of someone who covers and gets ALL that they can, STS or Grizzly most likely so you may not have seen it. Hard to say. They gather all then news and court activity or docs of the day or week and cover all of it.

Regardless I knew of the pizza thing, late dinner knowledge, calls, etc. Not mentioned in this one I think was something about his son and I think that is that they have a child at home or had and if someone is watching them etc. yes that is reason to be cautious/worried for sure.

Again I'd like to know when the last call was and how often they were prior to that.

IF it was CB I'd say LE will be able to connect that with likelihood somehow... Or maybe already have and even did prior to arrest. But for sure at least now. IF there are recordings, dates, numbers, phone records and it was reported to LE etc. Obviously we aren't being told everything...

I wonder who tipped him off?
Probably LE, why not? Unlike their predecessor, they probably considered the families and he represents two. Even if his clients murders weren't charged, families of any LI murders of these women were going to have interest to progress, arrest, knowing what is happening, etc. Seems to me as much has been said, that families were notified, if I recall. I think a family member may have said as much.

We were notified as the arrest was taking place and it was the best (yet worst i another way) call of my life. They need to do this for many reasons. Family is going to react for one and if a surprise and not informed, well that reaction could be something else. I was asked to not share with ANYONE until I saw a press release go out the next morning. I did ask if I could tell my mother and they let me, ONLY her. I waited all night and early morn and when I saw that release, I started letting EVERYONE KNOW.

Well, yeah, but who in LE.
This is what the article said.

"John Ray had been tipped off ahead of time that dad of two Heuermann, 59, was going to be arrested last Thursday, he told the US Sun.

The same well-placed source also named a second suspect, according to Ray — who refused to share the name while teasing his long-held belief that a woman may have been involved.
“We also believe that some of the victims could’ve been lured by a woman,” he told the outlet, without elaborating on why or if the “we” included investigators."

So it had to be LE that tipped him off. Noone else would have known about the upcoming arrest. The same source actually named a second suspect as well.

So we will have to wait and see what develops.
