Who is the Long Island Serial Killer?

The Long Island serial killer (also referred to as LISK, the Gilgo Beach Killer or the Craigslist Ripper) is an unidentified suspected serial killer who is believed to have murdered 10 to 16 people over a period of nearly 20 years.

That could make sense I think based on the age of her daughter. Maybe she never took part again and he continued with call girls up until the Shannon Gilbert disappearance? Then, I think all the police activity and discovery of bodies in 2010/11 stopped him or he found another dumping ground.

I don’t think he stopped. Once serial killers get started they escalate. Of course there are cooling off periods that differ. But not stopping. I think your theory of another dumping ground is correct. They don’t want to stop. So they find a solution so they don’t have to.

One of many that stood out to me is that they figure Asa may have been pregnant and known to want no sex that night and this was why another woman had to be found and brought along as it is always couples with the swinging. THAT I think is a really good guess on his part.I It may not be the case, who knows, but it was an interesting thought.

You know I have been thinking the RW guy knew she'd just been let out of jail but now I realize (just this moment dawned on me) that he may well have picked up Karen (if i t ws her) just on the "street corner" so to speak "hooking" and desperate for money...

IMO. He picked up plenty just that way. The ones that unfortunately work the streets, They move on all the time. They disappear without much notice. Hard to track. Or no interest to investigate.

Yes John Ray announced he is doing a 3 hour thing early November. Still putting it together.

I previously said I wondered if RW may have been aware she was coming out of jail so picked her up, but yes she would be looking for money.

I think that John said the witness herself said that his wife told her she was pregnant. So that was Feb '96 and her daughter is 26 (probably 27 this year) and the maths adds up.

Info from that video I posted is that Suffolk Co police weren't aware of Shannon's 911 call until weeks after her disappearance. The reason is because her call was transferred from Suffolk Co to the state police 911 operator because she was unable to inform of where she was, however, Coletti's and Brennan's 911 calls were both handled by Suffolk Co and police arrived at 5:40am, 10 minutes after Brennan's 911 call, although I'm pretty sure Coletti's call was earlier than Brennan's.
As for Pak, if he left before police arrived, I figure the longest he could have spent looking couldn't have been more than about 25 minutes.

I think he exaggerrated about how long he drove around but I think he left before the cops got there and Shannon was long gone when they arrived. They would also have spent time speaking to the witnesses so would not have looked for Shannon immediately that night, if at all IMO. Will have to try and find more info about him.

Which is b.s. imo and should make for undetermined, you don't pick something you have no evidence of. Shouldn't be picking ANYTHING unless there is clear evidence indicating such. Same goes with calling it accidental.

I'm not 100 percent either but pretty sure they called it accidental drowning did they not as to cause and manner?

Another dumping ground and/or his out of state trips and residences...

And I don't think he stopped either and I don't think 3 or 4 are anywhere near his total number of kills.

Are you talking of CB or RW? Or both? No doubt CB did, I agree. Wouldn't surprise me with RW either.

I thought at first that might have been how it went down too, that he knew she came out of jail and snagged her and yet some things just now have me wondering if they didn't just go to get a 4th partner and hit the street... For one the female witness had to tell her he was a cop and that I think is when "Karen" told her she had just gotten out of jail, etc. I THINK anyhow... I don't know... Either thing or way is as likely in my head.

Yeah Asa was likely pregnant but somewhere I did get that she was only a couple of months in or so I thought, not that that matters anyhow... (how far along I mean doesn't matter)...

My impression is that he did leave before the cops got there and yeah, when cops arrived, they had only Coletti and Brennan there to speak to.

No. I don’t either. And nowhere near the #’s. I completely agree. Because IMO He didn’t start that late in life. I think a lot working on the streets were victims. They are the easiest. And I mean no disrespect at all to these women. I’ve never heard any of them say they aspired to do that for a living. It is a “profession”. And listed as the #1 most dangerous. For very good reasons.

Gilbert's remains were found a year after the remains of "The Gilgo Four" were discovered. Her cause of death remains contested with police claiming accidental drowning while an independent autopsy determined possible strangulation.
