I'm pretty sure the 500k is a figment of this attorney's imagination, but you might be amazed at what price it would bring once cleaned up.
Well... 500k might not be such a bad number. Check out these prices!!!

Here is a simple 3 bed 2 bath home in that area and look at that price! :thud:

If it's appraised for $500,000 I think it's going to be a long time to sell it. Whoever buys it will probably raise the property and rebuild, so they won't shell out even half that price is my guess. Seriously, who wants that house. Do you know anyone, in their right mind, would want it?

Have you not seen what flippers can do to a property? I've seen some amazing transformations. SHE won't be getting that kind of $$ out of it, but I bet somebody can buy it from her cheap and rehab it and make quite a profit on it.

A poster was interested to know more about Pak and I think what's most important to know when contemplating his role in Shannon's disappearance is that he and Shannon worked together.
They'd met at the escort service through which she was working and where he was working as a driver. (She'd met her boyfriend the same way; he was also a driver, I think at the same service.)
Anyway, at some point, they'd decided to "cut out the middleman" (Pak's words) and work together, which is what they'd been doing for a certain amount of time (a matter of months, I think) before she disappeared.
Another note of importance (in contrast to the LISK victims) is that while Shannon advertised on Craigslist, when she connected with Brewer, it was through another advertising service called Backpage.

Now, what I'd like to know from those who are undecided as to Pak's intention is what reason would he have to cause any harm to Shannon? Granted, I question his judgement- I full well believe that he did the wrong thing by leaving and then not alerting anyone as to the situation but I see no reason to think that he intended her to come to any harm.
Same reason her previous boyfriend had to break her jaw.

Filing a quit claim on a home with a divorce pending and one spouse in jail is nothing new. If there is no lien on the home from an attorney, or anybody for any reason, there is nothing unlawful about it. The fact that she filed for divorce also tells me she is not hiding from spousal privilege like she could have done. The quit claim would have to be done if THEY were to sell the home with him in jail. This attorney, if he is any good, knows this and is playing to the media.
Well this case is very different, as I think that passing the house over to her is to prevent the victims relatives getting anything and I think that is wrong. Especially if she had knowledge of any of it, which is starting to look possible.

Has anyone heard of the Route 29 stalker? Take a look at the side by side in this article? This was in '96

This was only 49 miles from Palmyra where his mother has lived since '94.

Wiki link

Of the cases that are unsolved 3 are from 1996, 1 case is from 2010 and 1 from 2012. 1 of the '96 cases was a double murder.

These are the details of the unsolved ones-

Alicia Showalter Reynolds

Alicia Showalter Reynolds disappeared on her drive to Charlottesville, Virginia to shop with her mother in 1996. Sources say Reynolds never made it to her destination. Alicia is thought to be the first of many disappearances along U.S. Route 29.[5]
Police claim Alicia's killer must have known the area in which her body was found. Alicia's remains were found in what was said to be the middle of an isolated field that sources claim only a local could have known about in Culpeper County. Neighbors of the area say they only found the remains once they noticed vultures circling the area,[4] however, the police stated she was most likely murdered the day she was abducted.[5] Originally, officials believe Alicia was a victim of Richard Marc Evonitz, a serial killer active during her disappearance.[4] This was never confirmed, and Reynolds' case still remains cold today.

Julianne Williams and Laura "Lollie" Winans

Julianne Williams,[6] 24, and Laura "Lollie" Winans,[7] 26, were found dead at their campsite in Shenandoah National Park in May 1996.[8]

Anne Carolyn McDaniel

20-year-old Anne Carolyn McDaniel was last seen leaving a group home in the town of Orange on September 18, 1996. Her burned remains were found four days later within just 10 miles (16 km) of the location where Alicia Showalter Reynolds's body was found.[8]

Samantha Ann Clarke

There is a possible POI in this case but Samantha has not been found.

See thread

Thread 'SAMANTHA CLARKE: Missing from Orange, VA - 13 Sept 2010 - Age 19' VA - SAMANTHA CLARKE: Missing from Orange, VA - 13 Sept 2010 - Age 19

19-year-old Samantha Clarke was last seen in Orange shortly after midnight on September 13, 2010.[11] On Friday, January 15, 2021, the Town of Orange Police Department reclassified her disappearance as a murder. “Due to new information and advances in investigative and forensic technology, Samantha’s missing person investigation has been reclassified as an active abduction and murder investigation,” according to OPD Chief.[12]

Sage Smith

Sage Smith, also known as Dashad and Unique, was a 19-year-old transgender woman last seen in Charlottesville on November 20, 2012, waiting for a date very close to the location where Alexis Murphy's abandoned car was found in August 2013.[13] Sage Smith's case went cold and remains unsolved. Erik McFadden remains a missing person of interest in the case.[14]

Palmyra is near me. It's where Joseph Smith founded Mormonism.

No cocaine or drugs of abuse were found in her body based on the private autopsy Regina posted. Her sister ended up with mental problems and perhaps that's why she freaked out and ran off but it does not explain how she died from apparent strangulation and not drowning as the police reported.
When I first heard about Shannon’s case, and before there was ever an arrest in the Gilgo murders, I always thought that it could be that Shannon was a crime of opportunity. The suspect in this case could have found her running around, bewildered and scared and grabbed her.

I’ve never understood why detectives would’ve dismissed that idea.

I think it comes from whoever was chief at the time. The others toe the line until they become chief then they have their theories. How many police chiefs have there been since the start of this? Not just since the start of when the bodies were found (ie Gilbert's disappearance) but when they initially disappeared.
I don't know but I know re Harrison on the show I watched, they do the "right" thing and resign as a new administration is coming in (politics) which I find unfortunate but is the classy or respectful way of doing so (I like the right words). I'd take that to mean you exit with dignity and easily before the other side replaces you. Not sure who new is coming in, do they mean mayor probably since it is city/police chief?

He was looking at leaving prior to this. I don't think anything is "wrong". Maybe he was waiting to see I don't know. Don't know if there was just an election or enough about it but he keeps mentioning family decision and a daughter quite big in the basketball world he wants to watch more of.

Whatever the case, I think it bites. He came in, created a task force and got results. I don't doubt he had to step on some feet, butt heads and go against some corruption to do so. Just my guess. Politics should have nothing to do with justice but unfortunately that's where it seems we are at and it trumps justice any longer, it seems, far too often and in too many cases and this one reeks as well of corruption and people of name, position or power involved over the years. Maybe just in relation to being part of the swinging, sex worker, porn, sexual deviant or twisted underbelly world or more than that, involved in Gilbert or with CB, who knows. And maybe only Burke or more than Burke through the years. At least ignored and at times intentionally screwed up imo.

Maybe the recent bit of him being seen with and working with or talking to Ray and the DA definitely not on the same page with that was that he knew he was leaving and decided to go against what he has probably been told NOT TO DO and was showing us all and them the RIGHT way to work this case, you ignore no tips nor information the victims' attorneys may have.

Whatever the case, I am concerned about it. He clearly can't go too far or wants to leave on a good note but "we" (public) are going to need to keep the next accountable and pursuing the info, meaning like Ray's info and swinging cop, etc. --I would HOPE we can trust them to continue to pursue the normal routes of investigation, testing and charging but who knows. Seems to me it was him getting them to talk to jailed sex workers, etc. or I don't think it would have happened. And to Ray.

I'd hope he stays involved in the sense of coming on shows. No longer in that position he should be able to if he so chooses.

Anywho, not even sure what I mean, way behind on all threads, hardly been on. Don't know enough to say but as I talked here I realized maybe he did the things with Ray as he knew he was leaving and why not...? Without saying a bad word about a single peron, not the DA, not anyone, he shows that you don't let the corrupt or the political b.s. or stfufy attitudes or ways hinder a full investigation.

I really lack good words this morn and these are just newly forming thoughts as I answer here...

Same reason her previous boyfriend had to break her jaw.
It was her current boyfriend who did that. He talked a little bit about it in a documentary on the case.
In that same doc, (in other context) Shannan's sister mentioned that he (Alex) and Shannan were always fighting.
Anyway, how that incident is considered relevant to the circumstances of her disappearance is beyond me.

I think this is a good place to point out a misconception about Shannan and that's that she had a pimp. She did not; Pak was merely her driver.
Btw, a little more info from Pak about that night: Pak said that while he and Coletti were talking, Shannan ran past his (Pak's) vehicle toward the gate of the neighborhood and so when he left Coletti's, he went out that way and expected to find her on the road that leads to the neighborhood from Ocean Pkwy. He said when he reached Ocean Pkwy, he was surprised that he didn't seen her along the way. He said he thought she must have been picked up but regardless, she hadn't want a ride from him and so he left.

Some new links.

How sweet. She visits her serial killing honey. Like so many things about her, and him, it says a lot to me. It was to confront him right? Yell at him for what he did and destroy their lives? Yah right. To be done with him for once and for all and confront him and make him confess to her? Nah, I doubt it. I went to read your link but it had a paywall. Even at 25 cents I know what that turns into when one doesn't have the time to cancel nor the time to put in all the pay info anyhow.

So all I have is the headline.

She has no need to go see him, they are divorcing. If she needs something signed or told to him, there are attorneys. Ya know? What is it she needs to know or tell him in person...

OH! She is working with the cops and trying to get him to talk. NOT.
