This ABC article has info about the hairs. There is a lot of info in here about the trove of stuff they found. I am just copying the bit about the hairs. It sure sounds like they found his, his wife and daughter's hair on the bodies. But see what you think.

It's pretty unclear to me, they could certainly have clarified it better in this article. I still think they are talking that the hair(s) could have been either Asa's or daughter's with the mitochondrial match which is the maternal side the way I understand it. It also could have been Asa's mother I suppose, not clear on all of that but it was the way the explanation sounded to me. Now they have nuclear matches on all which is the gold standard and IDs the exact person and I believe they are Asa's, not the daughter's.

But then again it sounds as if they could have found the hair of all three Heuerman's, hard to say. It almost makes it seem odd the son's wasn't found then as well and the dog's and so on lol.

The nuclear DNA is huge and the fourth victim murder charge as well. This man is done for and he should just admit guilt. But of course he won't, they rarely ever do.

I used to put "March of the Penguins" on for the grandkids and Morgan Freeman's voice was very effective.

I'm afraid it's really hard to listen to and the camera is at a weird angle to the screens so...

I am genuinely interested in what they have to say so I wish someone had set the cameras up closer to the stage or zoomed in abit.

I will try casting it to my tv and see if that makes a difference.

I tried to watch it for a few minutes on a break today before seeing these comment and all I got in those minutes was people as said milling around and at a distance. For some reason though I could see comments that maybe came after and almost all were kudos to Ray and his representation of Shannon and the victims and his perseverance but also along with all that were many comments about sound and camera and wishing it was better. I ran out of time and never saw anyone speak etc. and haven't got back to it.

I did see one person say it was way better sound and pic when she put it on her TV and more than a few saying they hoped there would be a better fixed version on YT etc. but that they saw it and managed to hear it but wasn't ideal, etc.

I never got back to it and after seeing the remarks didn't see the point in bothering to try on my phone on a break.

Oh and so I did not see a thing other than people around I guess before it started but another comment made it sound as if the woman who went o the H's house who had the cop bf and re Vergata talked at it? Then some comment about too bad the dates don't match, etc. This was in COMMENTS I never heard a person speak.

So anyone who actually watched it all, takeaways would be appreciated..

Oh BOY. Now I know why they are having him on their show. It is already out on Gi+alcone's show so of course then l and POC are running with it. I'm no done with this but this is a MUST listen, take my word for it please. LISTEN to the first 20 minutes for a WOW NEW affidavit. This woman claims to have told MANY people about it t the time too I don't douiiit there are others but I have to finish watching it to know.

I am bringing my own post down to remind what I said about this and these guys never thinking much of Ray before and even dissing him and they are all NY retired, LE, Ray NY LE, etc.

I worked til what time and wasn't thinking of it but happened onto it after it had already started and went in and they were attacking him, would not let him get a word in and I was immediately incensed. And it continued. I don't know what I missed in the first 20 minutes or however long. I like these guys most of the time, I quit watching most other retired NYPD, there are quite a few on YT. For various reasons. One of these two is getting imo really condescending even to viewers/average people and boy were they going at John Ray. I'd say not to watch it but I think it is a definite watch for many reasons. Ray even though ganged up on was the one that connects with people, stuck to decency, smarts, etc. while they were condescending. Then I think enough viewers of their OWN having a fit in chat they backed off and finally the man could talk. It is also worth watching just because of all Ray says and shares. So they end it on a nicey nicey note but really watch it all, and when they attack him on what a lot of us believe re Gilbert and many other things.

Watch chat too.

Anyhow worth watching just due to Ray imo and how he handled it all. And how viewers of THEIRS most, were not happy with them.

I did NOT give it a like even though they realized they needed to quit overrriding him, etc. after a LONG time, they realized it because I think they thought they are so wise they could tutor the rest of us and show us he was off base.

See how you feel about it all and what your emotion and reaction is to what goes on here and who you think is actually the smartest of the bunch and knows how to connect, not interrupt but hold his own and past his own when he finally is allowed to from people yelling in chat to QUIT treating him like that.

She speaks in this interview about it and her story is the same as was reported by John Ray months ago. Hopefully LE are gathering data on this to add to his charges.

I so hope they can pin Karen's murder on him. She was dismembered and her remains were in different locations.




Further info on Karen who disappeared in 1996 on Valentines Day - the same day she went to Heuerman's with this witness and her cop boyfriend. She was only fully identified last year.

I don't know if they are doing anything about such affidavits either the ones in LI like the Vergata claim or this woman asking they investigate a couple near where his mom lived. Do watch the about 20 minutes of that to hear her affidavit, it is very interesting. I feel it is a must watch.

Then Ray was on Police Off the Cuff and they were nasty and rude as he77 to him imo until I think their own viewers that like them were getting petty angry with them. Then they toned it down. He said as he has before he has NO idea if these things are being investigated as they should be and gets told nothing. He confirmed the cop bf in the Vergata claim is known to them and such. They got after him about Shannon too and quoted that same old stuff how she was paranoid in the 911 call, was not murdered and all that stuff. They pretty much parrot LE's take on it all through the yars nothing was done imo. I hear NO SUCH thing when I listen to Shannon's call.

Even though the last ting I'd want to do is give them a ton of views for that show, it did settle down and all Ray had to say was well worth it just he himself.

I'm going to go on record here saying I don't like Tierney. I liked Harrison, a lot, but I do not like Tierney. John Ray though is even gracious about him and blames it on the underlings still it the department and those that bring him the info they do... I get DAs likely have to maintain a bit of stiff professionalism but t's more than that with him, I just do have trust in him that he is looking at everything in this case and he certainly doesn't have the good touch imo with the victims and citizens...

OH and @Tresir He got pretty out there with believing mom and daughter to be involved. BUT POC is worth watching too because he tells how with Maureen the alibi isn't tight and how he talked to manager about actual check in dates and use of room, etc. and that is all really interesting. He points out too what I have always said, even WHEN family was gone we do not know when these women were murdered, JUST their approximate disappearance dates. He talks of serial killers and their "torture" chambers and so on and how for some of them that is the thrill and so forth. It is interesting when they finally let him talk without overriding him all the time. And the affidavit at the beginning of the other one is worth hearing, 15 to 20 minutese. You can ignore the rest of that video.

I haven't watched your one yet on the Vergata claim. I tried the symposium back when and gave up. Too bad someone couldn't have helped him with better camera and sound coverage.

Interesting. i wish to heck reporters sometimes would JUST let people talk. Ashleigh cut her off at least twice when I'd like to have heard more. Asheligh's been under fire more than once by others and just was last week for her reporting on the Kansas City fans. I go back and forth with her but that's typical news. Like 'em all right one day and think they are out of line the next.

Short but interesting. Short as they cut it off/Ashleigh did.

Seems credible and I can't see much other reason she'd be coming forward. Can also see why wouldn't go to LE.

I'm not good with placing people or accents but she sounds maybe Dominican or Jamaican? Someone better than I can correct me if they know. Sounds like an island accent I should recognize is what I mean. Heck I don't know, maybe Haitian?

Yes she was unprofessional and very annoying cutting her off but did you catch the witness' name who was talking? I don't remember her being introduced, either. The woman must be quite old now, at least 50, as Karen disappeared 30 years ago.
