Got my Masters degree from here. :(

Killer who stabbed 4 Idaho students to death still at large

The killer — or killers — who stabbed four University of Idaho students to death remained at large Tuesday, prompting many students to leave the campus in the idyllic small town despite police assurances that there was no imminent risk to the community.

So many students had left the scenic tree-lined campus in Moscow, Idaho, by Tuesday that university officials said a candlelight vigil scheduled for the next day would instead be held after the Thanksgiving break.

The students, all close friends, were found dead in an off-campus rental home around noon on Sunday, and officials said they likely were killed several hours earlier. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt told the Spokane, Washington-based television station KXLY that her preliminary investigation showed the students were stabbed to death. There is no indication that substance use was involved in the deaths, Mabbutt said.

That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about collecting his DNA to prove that it was his DNA that was left at the scene.
If they found his DNA under any of the victims' fingernails, he is toast. If they found his blood in the house, he is toast. Hopefully he was punched in the face and got a bloody nose while on one the floors. No way could a defense lawyer explain those away, although they may try. Hopefully he got clawed in the face or neck while the victims with defensive wounds were fighting back. That would leave DNA under their nails.
Just MOO, but I believe LE has stopped an SK.

Correct. It's a little map. If you're friends on Snapchat you can see where your other friends are. Easy to turn off. But I imagine it's pretty popular to have turned on for college kids trying to find their friends when out on the town.

I believe with today's advancements they will find DNA. definitive evidence of guilt. Of course not available then so he didn't have to worry about it. But I believe Bundy, As smart as he was would have been extremely careful. And I believe they would have still found direct evidence. They need so little now. Even going back to retest when there wasn't enough of a sample to test before. DNA doesn't lie. It is the greatest scientific discovery ever. IMO.

The 2015 Hyundai Elantra did indeed come with GPS, but only as part of the upgraded infotainment package. This package added A7 inch touch screen to the center dash, which includes bluetooth functionality as well as navigation and GPS capabilities. Unfortunately, this was not offered as standard equipment at any trim level; it needed be added when the vehicle was purchased new.

Does the 2015 Hyundai Elantra have GPS?

Like everything else is this case, "maybe it does and maybe it doesn't".

On the floor facing the wall, Not talking. Really?!!! He put himself in a time out?. Courtroom antics. Childish behavior. Like ohhhh....Bundy. He believes he will be exonerated. Uhhhh...Bundy. WRONG!!! I'm finding a few similarities. While he is no "Bundy", He could have been a burgeoning one. He is in the age bracket. If he is guilty, It's too bad he isn't going to follow his footsteps to "Old Sparky".

Consider the source.

  • Inmate Valerie Cipollina, 50, tells DailyMail.com that Kohberger tried to expose himself to her while she was in a cell close to him at the Monroe County Jail
  • Cipollina, who was held for six hours on a domestic violence charge, said Kohberger taunted guards, saying they were too scared to go in his cell
  • 'You come in here and I'll cut you,' Kohberger allegedly yelled at one guard. 'I'm going to pee on your face. Do what you want me with I don't give a s**t'

Now it's going to be people saying all the interactions they had with him. Alot will be complete fiction. NOW people want to talk about him. I've never seen a case with so many false news reports, Bantering back and forth on if a lead is important or not. False leads, Suspects, And Complete confusion made into a mess caused by the public. That easily could have jeopardized the case from a few incidents.

Not only the media and people seeking their own fame. But now I'm wondering more and more about his motives.
He thinks he's smarter than everyone else and has studied psychology and criminology. Very likely narcissistic and psychopathic traits. Everything we see or hear from him could be complete fabrication. Even if what this lady says is true, is it truly him? Or is it his "act"?
I'm not-so-patiently awaiting his return to Idaho and the probable cause affidavit.

Just out of curiosity... How long does everyone think they've had their eyes on BK? We'll find out eventually. I'm not trying to do anything other than see where your minds are. I'm just wondering what people are thinking.

We know it's been at least a week, since they followed him across the country on his drive "home" to PA. I've seen some say they think his name came up while looking for the Elantra. Others have said they think his name came up well before that (maybe cell pings, etc.) and they were looking to see what he did when they released the Elantra info. Others have said they think it's been since the first few days or weeks of the investigation - maybe a friend gave his name or he left something behind (whether purposely or accidentally).

Thoughts?

Fake " news." It wasn't him. It was another inmate that said those things. Hopefully the DM didn't pay the released female inmate anything. I am not defending him.

Yeah. People wanting fame over people's murders. It's beyond self serving. It's lower. No conscience? He's definitely smart. For a serial killer, Or a burgeoning one, It's their undoing usually. Arrogance, Every killing they become more comfortable, Thinks they've thought of everything. It takes just one mistake.

I didn't know that. Wow. Thanks Guessy. That's interesting. People still get away with crimes of course. But it's much less likely now with the number of tracking devices.
Don't Fitbit watches also track people? I vaguely remember a murder case being solved within the last several years because a suspect's Fitbit watch proved that the alibi she gave LE was completely fake. The watch had apparently measured or recorded where, when, and what she was actually doing (killing someone) while wearing the watch.

That's a great point. They are Bluetooth. And if you have your location on. And then it monitors times of vitals taken. It Would show spikes. Heart rate, Stress level, Oxygen.
