Got my Masters degree from here. :(

Killer who stabbed 4 Idaho students to death still at large

The killer — or killers — who stabbed four University of Idaho students to death remained at large Tuesday, prompting many students to leave the campus in the idyllic small town despite police assurances that there was no imminent risk to the community.

So many students had left the scenic tree-lined campus in Moscow, Idaho, by Tuesday that university officials said a candlelight vigil scheduled for the next day would instead be held after the Thanksgiving break.

The students, all close friends, were found dead in an off-campus rental home around noon on Sunday, and officials said they likely were killed several hours earlier. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt told the Spokane, Washington-based television station KXLY that her preliminary investigation showed the students were stabbed to death. There is no indication that substance use was involved in the deaths, Mabbutt said.

I'm hoping BK gets a fair trial and not convicted first by the court of public opinion. Since this arrest doesn't sit well with me I'll wait until the actual evidence is revealed. As far as outward appearance, he looks like anyone else. MSM likes to 'sell' stories not necessarily the facts so please keep that in mind.

I too hope he gets a fair trial. The only thing worse than not arresting someone is arresting the wrong person...
It's one reason I keep saying that I'm waiting for the probable cause affidavit. If they have what they are rumored to have, it's probably pretty solid. But it could also be complete nonsense and rumor. The only thing LE has confirmed so far is he had a white Elantra.

I agree. They supposedly found him by taking DNA from the crime scene and entering it into a familial DNA database. That enabled them to trace the DNA and confirm him as the person who left the DNA at the scene. However, that hasn't been proven yet. @SheWhoMustNotBeNamed pointed out, convicting the wrong person is much worse than not convicting anyone at all.

You will rarely, very rarely, get any DA or PD admit they convicted the wrong person. Even if that person is proven to be innocent by new evidence or withheld evidence. So they'll never even go after someone else. Someone could walk into the PD and confess the crime knowing things only the murderer would know, and the cops would refuse to take their statement and escort them to the door.

We've even had AGs that have refused to release people that they knew were innocent.

In the PC, I don't remember who answered, but the question was along the lines of how long was the focus on the suspect and after a brief but thoughtful pause, the answer was "for a period of time". Lol!
On a serious note, I'm not usually so positively impressed with PC's like I was with this one.

Here’s the link for this article.

The law enforcement source told Fox News that the FBI surveillance team was seeking video images of Kohberger as well as his hands.

The law enforcement source said that investigators were still building their case on Dec. 15 to make an arrest, but added that genealogy played a major role.

Full affidavit is linked here. Not sure how to link a PDF without uploading it so here is this for now.
