Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events
  • April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
  • December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
  • February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
  • February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
  • June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
  • July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
  • August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
  • September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
  • September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
  • September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
  • September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
  • October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
  • October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
  • October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
  • October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
  • Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
  • November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
  • November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
  • December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
  • December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
  • December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
  • January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
  • January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

Okay did finish. Interesting even though we knew of the claims on appeals, she gave more info and insight into them. She's always pretty darned good. Appeal will likely take years anyhow and I don't think most claims have a chance but one or two could perhaps go either way. The changing of the charging documents after the P rested is technically wrong but Boyce called it a clerical error and said it was very clear throughout JJ did not die on that date, etc. I am paraphrasing.

Some things more than I said here I had forgotten about.

Short. Worth it. Imo.

Time to brush the teeth. Shoes are on. One more long day/night. I'm ready as always for tomorrow off. Even though a LOT going on re home again and such. Still no work scheduled.

I watched it last night. I had imagined the rooms to be much bigger! And Garth’s room was so close to his parents bedroom. It was actually creepy.

The attachment piece was really interesting too. I imagined the upstairs to be one big room, but it was more of a cubbyhole kind of a thing. It definitely had electricity, though! At one time anyway. Not Nate was there.
 
I have to add, there is no way I think that Garth was home when she was murdered. Either that or he was in on it because there’s just not enough room in that house to murder someone without everyone knowing about it.

I seem to remember Garth was not home till midnight as he was working at a Halloween House or something similar. Supposedly Tammy was already dead and he said he heard his father snoring when he went to bed. Chad must have lain snoring next to a dead Tammy and then pushed her out of the bed early morning to stage her death. But it is now clear from the layout of those bedrooms, how he could easily hear both Chad's snoring and Chad calling out when Tammy "fell" out of bed in the early mornìng hours.

Those companies did all that demolition and haulage work for free according to Nate. How good is that? He names them all in the video. A place of evil in Salem is now gone for good. At the end he was going to head over to see if the neighbours wanted to share their thoughts.
 
This video shows the actual destruction of the house including the bedroom where Tammy died, starting around 1.5 minutes in. Comments below the video are very supportive of the companies doing this work.

I think the whole community was happy to see those places torn down. And boy, did they do it quickly!

I have seen them all I think but this one. Colby had one the other day I haven't shared. Figure people saw it. He was reacting in real time to buildings coming down and more and he himself never watched it all as to the day of releases Nate had and the new owners... Even during his live. That is worth watcing too. I will watch this if I get time, I heard of it but in the same sense I saw pics of the inside of that home when it was up for sale, and I doubt Tylee and JJ were ever in it or if they were it was for not good purposes but I doubt so to me, it has noting to do with them. It does show it is a small home with that many kids and not a fancy one with a small kitchen, etc. and also the acreage, four acres is NOTHING. And it was less than.

For those reasons it is interesting. The view of the bit of acreage or lack of it, etc. Tammy with a full house with a kitchen that would drive me crazy like this apt. kitchen does.

Anyhow this is the ONE I heard of but haven't come across but Colby has a show too on all of them he watched no live but his show was live while we saw him watch those but he never finished all.

Thanks for linking this as it was the one I heard of I have't seen where Nate had the opportunity to go through the home but again I don't think JJ and Tylee were like hanging out there when they were murdered. It does give a glimpse into the Daybell life though just as the pics when it was for sale did.

Anyhow, Colby is really I would say processing and maturing. I would have linked but was not on. And considering what he has dealt with... I have had moments through the past years with him and debating but not sold but think he is in a good place right now or getting there....

A bit of a sidetrack but I think there will always be a lot here we will never know. A lot of people that should have been charged and a lot more to it. I personally feel like Tylee died the day of Yellowstone after they left. I don't know that of course but I think that.

The Mels and the Zulema yes were way more involved. And those are the ones we know of and I feel there were many more.

You know what is funny but not funny? I have no interest and have had none in the whatever the name Ruby Frankie and whoever case because not my cup of tea, this one maybe would not have been either but it sucked me in with missing kids.... And hope they were alive, etc.... And boy what a case we all ended up following... And its twists and turns.

Been a long day. And I am going on.

Anyhow if I get a change I intend to watch this one of Nate's although I still don't think the video of the home the new owners offered these news people the chance with has a lot to do with what happened. Maybe with Tammy and how they lived...

If there were EVER TWO that deserved the death penalty and a carried out DP, it is these two. And of course they are eternal beings anyhow with how many lives already so no biggie.

Okay. I should just go watch the video and quit. To this day I do not understand why that thing was called the Cozy Cone by the Daybells. Did I miss an explanation of that? I have watched everything ever out on this case and related things.

Yep, tiring and wandering... But not afield of the case... Cases... Many....
 
Is the one above the same one as here where Nate has some stuff on Kohberger as well? Not sure. But linking. Have not watched all yet so no comment. Did comment on the Kohberger part.

That could be. If there is anything I am not up on it is movies for the last how many decades or Hollywood. Seriously.

I avoid it like the plague along with cases that involve "hollywood" actors, etc. Their lives aren't even close to ours or normal folk.

Never heard of Cozy Cone in my life. Have heard of "Cars" a kids thing right?

Where the Daybells are concerned, maybe Crazy Cone would be more apt. His kids lied for him. They threw their mother under the bus. Manipulated? Probably. Raised as if in a cult where what dad says rules? Probably... But they are adults now and most were then, not all. I will probably get in trouble but it is like the Morphew girls. I don't see one sign these kids in either family gave a sh*t about their mother. Tammy's kids are SAID to have, that Emma was close to her and what not, well, then...???? One day I would hope they see what is what.

Instead Emma was contacting Lori in jail, sending money from dad, etc. OMG.

WHen free of it, I hope they get a clue. But no, she is probably all sorry for dad and trying to reach him and help him and will spend the rest of her life on dad.

I really think that, she needs to break free and SEE IT. Like everyone else does. They were, what is the word, indoctrinated, influenced, I don't know?? My God he controlled Tammy with stories her grandmother talked to him!

I can't believe the lack of common sense but maybe if you are raised with such, I just don't know... Tammy HAD to have a suspicion by the end I would think... I mean she was shot at (not by a paintball gun) and so much more, got an email from Charles if she ever saw it... He was cheating with Lori, traveling all the time, etc...

I say Emma, all of the kids, WAKE UP. People will embrace you when you do.
 
I can't believe Chad and Lori spoke on the jail phone for 10 hours at a time. Whatever rubbish were they spouting to each other? Are they still having these 10 hour convos now they are both incarcerated? I guess they have tablets to be able to converse on line like RA in the Delphi case. How come these child killers get these privileges at all ?
It is sickening, really.

Oh you need to watch Colby's recent show!! LOL. He was both upset and at times he had to laugh his arse off at others. Was he listening to Hermasillo (detective) and having to listen to all their **** and he said something like they were like juveniles all affectionate, then talking this then singing to each other and he burst out laughing. Authentic reaction. With their singing songs to each other, etc. And of course this is HIS mom. One can watch him processing honestly in his recent shows. Hard but a bit past some of the times and a trial or two now... He just freaking chuckled.

The calls between Lori and Chad quit once Chad was arrested from what I understand. That imo is when Emma became their go between.

Hey I finally have your time stuck in my head. Are you up like at let me see, six hours later, at like 3 in the morning???
 
Tylee's purchases, etc. STOP once they get to Idaho. Man. What were they doing to or with this child up until the Yellowstone day...
