I'm doubting that, I mean, I appreciate that that's info according to the charging doc but how is it possible to link a vehicle description to one person?
Well, I can hardly wait to hear more/ learn more about that!
When not the most common and with a unique feature? And with areas narrowed down? Not that hard imo. There have been cases where it took months on end and maybe even a year I can't recall offhand to find a boat or pickup truck if I recall and check each one off the list in maybe 100 mile radius or some such until they struck pay dirt. Starting with a list of probably thousands of names, first striking those out that clearly don't fit, etc.

I don't find this part a bit hard to believe. Jmo.

Yes, prior info is that it was (somehow) known she was going to Long Island to meet with a "client". Now, why it was anyone's impression that she'd called a taxi- I don't know- but I distinctly remember that info.
It rings a distant bell. I think for some reason they located the taxi driver or some such.

For two days at least I have been meaning to share this link. Lots of interesting info in here and the guests add to it. Better as it goes with far more as it gets along.

Dolls were left on the sites of the women years ago, the same sized dolls as the one found or similar, etc. This info comes from BTK's daughter and a source she has. A LOT of interest imo.

I am still watching it and am probably 2/3 through, just not enough time and I want to catch it all so I back it up when I get a moment to keep watching.

You lost me as to what you mean or why it would be offensive. You mean they arrested him since the wife is about to be out of town? Or what? And why would it be offensive? Totally clueless but really busy so maybe I missed something.
I thought it could be offensive that I made a joke about his possibly committing another murder...that for him, the wife going out of town was an opportunity to commit another murder.

I think it as likely as anything or some behavior of his they picked up on, for instance, if they saw him buy another burner phone, he got a new one for each if I understand correctly. Maybe buying a new belt or some camo burlap. It isn't offensive to me what you said, I agree, but yeah, murder isn't funny no doubt.

Certainly after the discovery of all of the bodies, they had three other cases to correlate info from each case and most significant to me, they had those hairs.
As for whether Amber's roommate was also her pimp, of course, I really don't know but my impression of him (he interviewed in a long-ago documentary) was that he was just a male friend she lived with.
He would say that wouldn't he? The pimp is generally the "boyfriend" of the prostitute and provides her protection, while living off the earnings. He gave a description of the guy - "ogre like" and details of the pick up. It was in 2010 when he provided that info.

The pimp and the pickup truck are mentioned in the charging docs. The prostitute - there were many. Another "P" is for "pizza crust" which is how they "pinned" it on him. That's actually at least five "P"s so far. :ROFLMAO:

OMG they had this info from Amber's pimp 13 years ago and never acted on it.

It always strikes me as pathetic when a cold case squad takes over a case and immediately finds a slew of overlooked clues.

We're talking the NYC area. They would probably have five thousand people to look at. They had only the description of the truck, not a name and make.

I just looked it up. NYC Is almost 8.5 million people. NYC with the boroughs and the new Jersey suburbs, 19.1 million. The largest metro area in the U.S. Interestingly NYC 783 Sq Kilometers. London, 9.5 million population and 1572 Sq Kilometers.

I think they had the make and model all along. The article said there was probably just 50 such vehicles in the area to look at. All they had to do was find Shrek out of those 50.

Also, they had the hair. Why couldn't they run DNA from that back in 2010?

Loop Shrek GIF

Whoa!!!

Very good question. Someone probably dropped the ball. And they didn't follow through. Then no one else was put in charge of it. My own interpretation. LE has had so much experience of doing that in the past
Especially when they "Lost" the files
And even worse physical evidence
Up to losing a corpse. Just because nothing can be done at the time, You don't throw files, And ESPECIALLY people's remains!!! It notvsolved. Can't do more. Put it back with detailed notes of what was performed and dates. It seems simple to me.
