Alabama murder suspect vanishes with corrections officer *CAPTURED IN INDIANA*

A sheriff's office in Alabama issued an alert Friday night after an inmate and the assistant director of corrections went missing earlier in the day. Authorities said the inmate, who was being held on capital murder charges, should be considered "armed and extremely dangerous."

Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton told reporters Friday night that Vicki White, a 25-year veteran at the department, left the local detention center with Casey Cole White at 9:41 a.m. He said she told other officials she was going to drop him off at the courthouse for a mental health evaluation and then was going to seek medical attention because she wasn't feeling well. Despite having the same last name, the two are not related.

Shortly after 11 a.m., someone found her patrol vehicle in a parking lot of a shopping center. At 3:30 p.m., officials became aware that no one had been able to contact her, and that the inmate had not been returned to custody.

So I don't know what her house was worth but she has no retirement, hard to say about savings but her money isn't going to last forever when you have to have a roof over your head and a new vehicle quite often or another mode of getting around... I can't help but wonder still if someone else is or has helped. Do they have false papers for instance? I mean they can't even work without their names being known, can't fly, can't use credit... It was planned though so hard to say what kind of funds she has (or him, it is clear imo his mother would help him if asked, or sure seems like it as she doesn't believe he is guilty...)

This one says among other things that she sold her house for like 1/2 of what she paid for it! She bought the car it sounds like at a used lot just days before... I imagine the car has been ditched already one would think and they probably hid it well...

well, that's not very smart with today's real estate. She probably could have gotten MORE than she paid for it within a week of putting it up for sale. Stuff here is still going for crazy high prices!

The newscaster also said she used several aliases when visiting him in prison or asked about it but the sheriff never answered that part of her question. Now that's concerning. You can get in a prison that easily with a false name? And would mean she very well may have fake ID and then she may have got him some as well... I don't know if it is true of course but it is what the reporter said...

I don't know how much it means either but the sheriff said he imagines she has at least a few thousand on her which doesn't sound like much... I would have thought far more and it is not clear that he knows or not... Just buying another car or two would deplete a few thousand... Who knows she may have owed a lot on her home, sold it for less, etc. and not have much to her name BUT she may have done some cash under the table deal on the home too, hard to really say...

Never seen this tactic before...
Not a bad idea though. I wasn't paying attention before that he's 6'9"!

Was just coming to post this. Also has pics of his various tattoos. Wonder why they haven't issued a blue alert since they have the car info. Maybe AL doesn't have that?

also take note that most doors are 6'8". He would have to stoop down to go through. Just to put it into perspective.

I think they will ditch that car in water, hide it in the woods or at an airport perhaps and rent another under an alias atlhough that wouldn't be wisest as they will find that trail... I guess it would be smartest to buy one alongside the road if they can find the right private seller... I just can't get over how stupid this woman was to do this. Honestly I just still smh.

Pretty heavy too not a string bean. Something like 265 I think? It is a good tactic.

She has herself into some big time mess. US Marshalls, Secret Service...

He would be quite notable. Worked for 20 years for a man that tall. You don't miss him, no one does when he comes into a room, etc. Have nephews that tall as well. They can dye his hair, give him a hat and lots of things but they can't change his height. Probably stooping over and carrying a cane :) Or she is the one going in places when need be, without him. They need to keep blasting their picture on all news and as far and wide as they can...

I gather there are a few other deaths out there that some feel Casey White is responsible for but has never been charged with in the past...

Now it says she apparently tried a dry run with this escape the Tuesday before and it wasn't successful... And then it was successful on Friday... I am watching this News Nation one on a YT video so I'd have to find the actual separate News Nation video... This floors me... Did anyone know that at this jail?? About Tuesday I mean?

So they went north at least in the beginning, hard to say when the car was ditched... My thoughts were Canada and/or a mountain cabin or some such, I don't know why, I guess because of his height and that they can't blend easily in one of our cities, etc. I wouldn't think anyhow over time they wouldn't be able to... I also think when she talked "beach" it was most likely to send people in the wrong direction since this WAS planned apparently...

Other Tweets there say there is a PC coming up today it sounds like. She withdrew $90,000 in cash from various banks. Co-worker, a guard says he is smart and calculated AND that she looks a LOT older than the pictures they are putting out.

I think I looked it up yesterday and came up with her being 18 years older than he is, though the pics make her look very young.

So they only went an hour two with this vehicle and then ditched it... So the car was most likely ditched hours before the sheriff's dept. even realized they were missing. My guess would be she had another car or transport already lined up in TN because nothing really forced them to ditch it yet at that point UNLESS they were holed up for awhile somewhere, heard the car was being looked for and ditched it. But again this is only a couple of hours away, I imagine they went far away as fast as they could...
